I've found an old copy of Diablo in my parents house. I've installed it & began to play.
Somewhere I got stuck (warrior & dusty player) & tried to get some help on UA-cam when I found this speedrun.
Man.
I smiled all the way through. This guy is so wholesome. Unbelievable.

Run started off slow, but what a payoff! Runner was so positive, even during the mistakes and bad RNG. The reaction to his friend's donation at 35:50 is something I wouldn't mind seeing more in GDQs.
And then he has the same reaction to...some guy from his Discord. XD

this is the highlight of GDQ 2018 best run, not because it was fast or something epic happened, but because funkmaster mp and the reactions are genuine, nothing trying to boost the morale like in awfull block or when people try to take over for the runner having a super hard thing to do, it's genuine fun and laughter and funkmaster did everything he could to make such a RNG run be interesting
The player grew on me throughout the run, to the point where it felt like his unbridled optimism was unstoppable
someone like that really lifts your spirits in the mornings

Time taken to get through level 3: 1 minute 17 seconds. Time taken to get through level 4, 5 & 6: 16 seconds.
Nothing beats that speedrun where stairs to lower levels were next to each other.

Honestly, this is my favorite speedrun this go around and I've never played Diablo. Thank you for not ruining it with donations and letting the players goof around

Delzanzius The quotation marks are unneccessary and frankly a poor attempt at trivializing my critisism. The organization can put in all the interruptions they want and I won't care, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a speedrun whenever the runners are allowed to talk for once.
My opinion about the donations is one commonly shared among the community that watches GDQ. So naturally, it will be shared in the comment section. If that upsets you, then perhaps you are scrolling too far down the web page.

I've been watching GDQ for years and I feel a lot of the donations (especially the sob stories) make it worse. We're here for the runs, not to listen to people's personal problems.
L I don't come here for the cancer stories but I don't feel like it ruins the event. My mom had cancer and she passed away last year, it's really inspiring and empowering to hear all of these stories about how these people beat cancer. If all you guys are interested is in the speed run and not the commentary then you can go to Twitch or speedrun.com or speeddemonarchives.com , there are plenty of places where you can watch just speedruns.

Just checked his Diablo speed run from 2016. He's so much more lively in this one, but he's still wearing the same sweater as last time.
I bought this on GOG - any dupes there? on hellfire? I tried the gold dupe by having a full bag and it doesnt work on GOG version.

I've played this game years ago but everything you've done in this game is exactly all stuff I never have done (Face Palm) I was so oblivious there was this many glitches and features in this game, I'm so embarrassed on all the months I wasted on just 1 character lols, I coulda done this in 34:17 this entire time, Mind Blown for me, I nolonger have Diablo 1 or 2 anymore, but I may get it again with new acquired Knowledge now lols :P

Twice a year, one in summer (SGDQ [Summer Games Done Quick]) and another one in winter (AGDQ [Awesome Games Done Quick]).
