Lol ya do that if you 1 car to move and NEW 2 inch or bigger straps. But still you are asking for one of them straps to brake its going to happen at some point doing this.look up how the load it distributed over a strap when using it
Thank you finally a smart way anyone can do without special tire tow straps I can't find in 1 day. I have to move a car 5 miles non highway and this will work fine with the front a arms chained and rear wheels chained to car hauler built in eyelets. Thank you for this
bad method i’ve been using 8 point tie down method for many many years and this method in the video is extremely dangerous the strap is bent and wrapped around itself the alone takes away the strength of the strap also if this vehicle moves forward or backwards it will roll out of the strap if the transmission gives this car will not stay on the trailer yes the fancy tire rig systems are expensive but it’s a better alternative to killing someone when not if but when the car comes off but i will say you can tell the guy in the video was trying his best to be safe at least he tied down all 4 tires to the deck i’ve seen people roll by with one chain so i give him two thumbs up for at least trying to be safe
I would NOT recommend this way, this is a great way to lose your towed vehicle. Besides that, I sure any DOT officer that sees this going down the road is sure to ticket you.
Thanks for this, plenty of vague criticism here but if it's done properly with the straps correctly angled it should work. What should happen in a sudden stop is that the strap which ties down at the back takes the load and vice versa if the motion is rear wards. The straps also hold the car down solidly as they are on the wheels, not the sprung weight of the car. As I said, the straps have to be correctly aligned so that the forces are in a straight line and the straps will stay on the tyres. If you can't work that out then don't use this system.
Never go strap on strap like this. Just make an X and its good. Why have the twist… also have the ratchets to the inside. Pulling to the center of the car.
I hope this was some kind of parody.
Yes, this pulls the wheels down. But it won't stop it from rolling when you need to hit the brakes hard.
Exactly.
What is this supposed to do?
Not how those straps were meant to be used at all. You’re putting stress in places it wasn’t meant to be.
Please 🙏🏽 do not do this!!! If the parking or paw in transmission fails, there is nothing to stop the car from rolling. This IS NOT safe.
Ask a DOT 😅 Don't do this, ever
Well done. Looking to strap a commercial mower similar to this. Thanks!

I think 10 and 2 position would be better than 9 and 3
And no x.
DONT DO THIS!
Looks like it’s holding the air in and that’s about it
Dont twist the straps together and you got it. Dot not approved for hotshot guys
Perfect...don't listen to the neigh sayers....this will work just fine!
Explain how?
Bad idea not only is it not going to stop the car from rolling that is a huge no no it will chafe the straps.
NOT DOT APPROVED!!!

This doesn’t look safe. Maybe with a lawnmower
No
