I kinda disappointed that the game didn't explain the plot point from the last game on whether Kyoko and Misako or Mami and Hasebe are the boys real girlfriends or the boys have been cheating them this whole time.
I mean, the original ending of Mami and Hasebe was scrapped wasn't it? Do they need to explain it if it was technically retconned? Though I guess that doesn't explain why the two show up at the end as playable bosses...

Idrk, either way both are incredible games & more than worth multiple playthroughs, definitely added to my list of favorite beat ‘em up games along the Streets of Rage games, Scott Pilgrim VS the World: the game, TMNT: Shredders Revenge, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Castle Crashers, the Final Fight games, the Golden Axe games, honestly, it’s a pretty long list now that I think about it

I'll always be a fan of the Kunio Kun/Nekketsu franchise but a couple things bug me about this game: 1) It's kinda weird how they are mixing eastern and western names. 2) These scenes REALLY should have been animated instead of just having still images of the characters pop out whenever someone speaks. Those are just nitpicks tho. Can't wait to play this.
Imagine having all those martial arts and melee weapons in brawler games, then the final boss just pulls out a gun and shoots the hero dead. 😹 For the record, I enjoy these games. I just had a funny thought of how odd it would end.

@@luketfer Realistically, it would take a lot of skill and time to aim a gun and if someone goes into panic mode trying to aim it, it can lead to poor aiming skills.

I hate fighting Marian. She’s impossible to beat. Is there a trick to beating her easily? Because I’m at level 12 as Misako and the 3rd round of her is annoying. Especially the double barrel throwing.

Man, better that helicopter boss fought like the helicopter in Hobo 3 and 4, where it starts to fight by shooting bullets after spawning a certain amount of enemies and repeats the cycle.
@@ayar2 the dragon twins in the Kunio-games are based on the Lee Brothers. Same developers. If you check the nes sprites of the dragon twins, you’ll see they have the same eyes of the Lee Brothers in Double Dragon 1. They even play the Double Dragon song when you fight them.
Ahhhh…they…did an okay-ish job with him, he’s a step up from several characters in the prior game. Way forward isn’t THAT bad at handling…well okay they’re not ALWAYS that bad at handling these characters.

I always thought that even in the new ending they were good friends rather than actually dating.
I wish the sequel went off from the original ending where Kyoko and Misako were delusional and never had boyfriends. That was more interesting to me.

Tsuiko seems to be the hardest, and she's kinda stop before she's beaten more, tech girl knows when to give up
Primo is such a fun boss. Like, they put a lot of love into it. I can say the same about the other bosses (Tsuiko was AMAZING).
