Do you maybe know how can this cover be a cause of oil consumption? I know that crankase breather valve is a part of this cover and that it could be a cause of oil consumption, but do you know if there is any other important part of the cover that could somehow cause oil consumption?

I have exactly the same question, I've replaced the PCV valve and I still get excessive blow-by.

@@bathanmark No, still uses some oil after PCV & turbo replacement, regardless of 5W30 or 5W40.

@FuLLReSpecT what mileage you got on the car? It may be a case seals in your cylinder? Passing oils. What do they call that test, compression test?

The crankcase breather valve has a good design on N47 engines and do not really need replacing. It makes 0 difference. On the M47 it had a bad design. Oil can leak at the oil cooler gasket. That thing loves to leak. Did you check the oil cooler gaskets as well?

Hello HELP ! How did you bleed the fuel system? What were you doing ? I'm having trouble starting my car after doing this. I think there's a messed up system. What did you do to fire it?

I usually leave the pipe leading to the injector of cylinder 1 loose until it comes out with fuel pressure, then I tighten it and start the engine, the first start will be longer.

I'm lucky my scanner had the fuel bleeding option, so I used it to cycle through the fuel.
It's next to impossible to start the car without bleeding the system, you will get a never ending fuel pressure error.

Just turn the ignition on and off a number of times first. For safety sake. Not a good idea to leave the injector lines loose on a common rail diesel.
