How much more I love these songs in the hands of Danielle Darrieux. I had a friend who saw her in the show who said she was wonderful - beautiful and glamorous - and what a voice! I guess she just wasn't box office. Darrieux's work on the album AMBASSADOR is exemplary. Thank you for this bit of Darrieux's Coco!
Doesn't she breath such life into the score? Singing them as opposed to what we got from Hepburn. 🤪
I dare say she not only breathed life into the songs but in the entire show...I have never had a high opinion of Hepburn's mannerisms but she was laughably miscast in Coco...Darrieux was a better actrice by far let alone her lovely voice
