- Hey guys, it’s Q&A time!
I got you guys to submit a heap of hair questions via reddit, facebook, Instagram and UA-cam and here’s what came back.
I hope you enjoy!

Q1 - Emiliano Vincitore - MBM Facebook Group
How good does it feel or how does it feel to be able to be part of a long haired men community?🦁🦁🦁
A1:
- F-ing amazing! It’s so inspiring and it’s a really good way to stay motivated during your hair growth journey.
Q2 - Travis Boccia - MBM Facebook Group
What are some products you absolutely cannot go without when it comes to your hair care routine, and what do you think everyone else should not skip as well for optimum hair health?
A2:
Leave in conditioner and hair oil, + a Deep conditioning mask. Look how freaking shiny my hair was and that’s without a keratin treatment.
Q3 - Scott Smith - MBM Facebook Group
Currently the only way I can get my curly hair back in shape in the morning is by wetting it. Is there some other way to make it look good without wetting it?
A3:
The only way you’re going to be able to do this (in my opinion is with a curling wand and you certainly won’t get the same natural curl shape you are going for. Wetting it’s the way to go. If wetting it and waiting for it to dry get a blow dryer with a diffuser head.
Q4 - Cody Enslow - MBM Facebook Group
Idk how to put this, but the best way I can think is... How could we normalize “girly hairstyles”? I’m a straight guy, but can pull off pretty odd styles, but since they’re for girls I can only do it as a joke. (I know one general answer is just to be secure with yourself, but it’s easier said than done)
A4:
Persistence. It’s the only way.
Q5 - @its_virajs - Instagram
How to stop hair fall?
A5:
You can't. It’s just not possible. Hair by nature is designed to fall out at certain stages. Everyone loses different amounts of hair. If you start noticing more and more that’s when I’d recommend you go and see someone about it.
Q6 - u/despacidont - MBM Subreddit
So I work out 5 times a week and get all sweaty. Is it ok to just rinse your hair or do I try to use dry shampoo to combat the sweat?
A6:
I’m exactly the same, I work out and get sweaty 5 to 6 times a week. It’s beneficial I don’t like putting dry shampoo in beforehand because it makes my hair feel super dry and yuck. I only use it when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to rinse my hair after the gym. I did a demo of exactly what I like to do a few weeks back and you can click.
Q7 - Darcy Mcfarlane
Is it ok to not condition every time you wash?
A7:
It is but I wouldn’t because when you wash your hair, you’ve just opened all the cuticles to get all the dirt out and the conditioner is designed to hydrate and close the cuticle back up. If you don’t condition you’ll find your hair feeling WAY rougher & way boofier compared to when you do your conditioner.
Q8 - @nemo.thenobody - Instagram
Is it normal to lose more hairs when you’re growing em?
A8:
It looks and feels like it but no. I’m guessing the reason you’ve asked this is because you’ve noticed more as your hair is getting longer. The truth is it’s just more noticeable because there is more hair lol. People with short hair also shed like German shepherds; it's just way less noticeable.
Q9 - Kyle Gammons
Which do you prefer: ponytails or man buns and why? Please list some examples of some situations which you might pick one over the other.
A9:
Man Bun For Sure. Quicker & easier
I’d wear a ponytail when I want my hair to look neater. I’m not really a fan of wearing my hair as is without doing some form of styling to it.
Thanks for tuning in this week guys and I’ll see you next week for another video!
Yours in good hair,
Thomas

I totally do the flipping my hair over the pillow thing too!
Right?!?! it's just the easier thing to do ahah
8:03 my favourite question! I think one of the first steps to start normalising "girly hairstyles" is to stop separating (and naming) everything by gender, a hairstyle is a hairstyle and a bun is a bun. Love the video!
hahaha good point thanks for watching
I really loved the question about the girly hairstyles because it's just such an important topic. I'm straight and currently growing my hair out and I just don't see why having long hair should make me any less masculine or really anything other than exactly if not more who I am at the core. I really appreciated hearing your perspective and wholeheartedly agree with what you said.
Thanks for swinging by Isaac! Glad you got some value from that question! 😊 I loved the question too and made an ended up making an entire video on it haha: ua-cam.com/video/FEFLuCR9-UU/v-deo.html
Thank you for sticking with the long hair movement Thomas. I wouldn't have ever considered growing out my hair if i hadn't found your videos. Plus the Facebook community is like icing on the cake, making my journey that much more fun. Eagerly waiting for the day I'll be able to post a transformation.
Thank you so much for all the hair tips, they've really helped me alot.
I'm not gonna lie, Thomas. I put my hair up tight in a bun every night because I DESPISE sleeping with it down. I constantly lie on it, pull it, it gets in my mouth and everything. There's no places for my to put my hair except up. I hate it because my hair is so close to looking like yours, but with a million times more frizz.
Thanks for answering my question Thomas! Good to know! Scott
Linus loved his blanket, my hair loves a silk pillow case. Much less morning hair tangle and hair breakage than a cotton/synthetic pillow case.
Love the shirt, need to get myself one , your hairs growing nicely mate👌
You shirt is everything .
Loved your video
Can't wait until my hair is as long as yous. Looking great guy!
I’m watching all your videos even tho I don’t have long hair yet😂
Same my hair is only like 6-7 inches🤣
how long is it?
@@Ethan-sh4rh grow it Ethan! I'm going for shoulder length myself. Sure it will look awesome on you
alll
Omg u lookin so good in a ponytail man
Ahhhhh love your shirt ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
2:35 I thought you said “I’ll nut 🥜 off to sleep!” 😂😂😂😂
Thank for answering my question Thomas! I definitely agree with you and can see how it just needs time combined with someone to pioneer it, might as well do it ourselves. Also I didn't mean that being straight or gay had anything to do with whether you can do it now. I just meant that I don't want the preconceived ideas about it to distract from the fact that we look good with it. I want the focus to be on how cool it is without bias. ex: your space buns are epic lol. Great video, thanks again!
Thanks man
6:29. That’s me 😂. I never have to worry about moisturizing
There are curl creams that can moisturize hair but even those will flatten from sleep, instead of getting the hair all wet, just wet your hands and instead of drying them, put them directly into your hair, do thise a vew times while scrunching the hair upwardtowards the roots to lift and give volume, so the hair is slightly damp and not wet...
I only wish I had this problem. My hair is only down to my nose. So sick of everyone telling me to get a haircut!
Hang it there man, thanks for watching
@@thomasinaction oh I intend to.... With help from you 😛
I was told the same.. So I started to say grow yours
How's it going now? :)
Seeing the ninja mask from kenshi at 4:20 gave me instant whiplash lmao.
Mr. Thomas!!! :D How is it you get more dashing and handsome every video?! Your luscious locks are beautiful and I absolutely LOVE guys with long hair (I like my hair short simply because I get too hot otherwise!)!!! Thank you for your great content and cheers to a healthy, happy, beautiful new week!!!!! 💖💫✨🤩
Thanks for watching man
@Quinn Brophy Hey! :D I am a guy! :D
I subscribed thank you bro!!!
I see you repping the jay jays pizza shirt like a boss. Love it.
They have THE BEST range at the moment. Too groovy not to buy haha. I bought 4 different ones haha.
Couldn't help myself.
Hey, Thomas, what do you think about hair subliminals, frequencies and other music for hair? Would be really interesting to know your thoughts on it
Really interesting the problems men specifically have with long hair that as a long haired woman I never thought about. I've had long hair all my life so sleeping with it is second nature, I just adjust it in my sleep to keep it out of the way, but if you grow your hair out in adulthood, sleeping with it must be a massive pain! I agree with laying it over the pillow above your head. I don't braid because the friction pulls it out and frizzes it up, making the braid painful to remove in the morning. But that depends on hair type, I guess.
Omg just yesterday night i was fed up of my hair all over my face lol.
Our long hair king
Thanks for watching
Thomas In Action thanks for the inspiration through the process 🥺🥺🥺
"Now THAT is based"
Yes, Tom, yes it is
My favorite shampoo the only worthing it is paul Mitchell tea tree
3:32 I wish I could do that but it doesn't all fit in yet hopefully by next year I will be able to tho
When it comes to long hair, my hair is still pretty short. But I've always been into the pony tail type styles, butx2, I'm afraid that it's seen as a girly hair style. A lot like question 5, I'm a straight guy, though I've always been more into "girly" hair styles.
Y'd u stop using the Garnier conditioner? Btw love ur stuff.
I’ve found my place in life. I feel welcomed
Thomas pls add the minutes of each question in the description
Kevin yes please!
So I’m at kind of an intermediate stage with my hair. It’s currently just approaching shoulder length. When I put it in a ponytail the length of the pony tail is around 3-4 inches. Would this length be a good point for me to start tying it up when I sleep? I can do a sort of tiny bun thing (I’m bad with terminology I’m new to this). Basically I flip my hair in front and pull it up to the top of my head like a pony tail except on the last turn of my hair tie I fold the hair over itself. It’s still pretty tight though at the length I’m at so I’m not sure it would be very comfortable to sleep in and I do toss and turn quite a bit. Is there anything I should do at this stage?
Nemo the Nobody is actually a movie reference! Great movie with Jared Leto as main actor :D
Nemo is actually Latin for “no one”
It’s a pretty creative username!
I've been neglecting my hair. Curly af need to hydrate constantly lol I'm bad for keeping it in bun constantly and its breaking my hair good tips
I had butt length hair all my life and now that I cut it to a short curly bob, it's time to watch this video xD
Hey I just started growing out my hair out in the beginning of October. The top is long but sides are significantly shorter. Are there any recommendations to keep motivations to not cut the sides?
Hey Thomas do you still use watermans hair shampoo and conditioner?
Would u say coconut oil is good for ur hair or is that sum I shouldn’t do?
I have grown my hair for 14 months but at the middle of the growth I have cut 2 inches but i was not that to bad but i loved the cut so I have grow my hair for 10 months
10 months and still going👍
I find the hair over the pillow technique works great for my hair otherwise a loose braid or two works out well especially if you are sharing a bed with your wife, partner, etc.
Cody Enslow's question hit me really close to home, I would love to rock a "girly" hairstyle too but where I live it's literally a gate to infinite harrasement, I yearn for the future where we start looking at people for what matters instead of "your hair this" or "your tattoos that"...
in hair conditioner have sulphate or perabine?
you should consider a discord server. Much better than Facebook groups.
How to manage my neck pain happened by my long hair
What's the fb group called?
i use to just put it in a pony tail i hated loos hair wile i sleep
Hey Thomas! I want to dye my hair to black but unsure what product to use that's safe. Or convince me not too idk, my hair's shoulder length now so idk if it'll ruin my progress
Any colouring, can damage your hair. Best have a professional do it!!! Good Luck man
You’re beautiful, Thomas 😍
For some reason it won't let me join the group
I have a really long rat tail soo.... It gets pulled by my shoulder quite often
Tea 🍵, Thomas
Having thick curly hair, is it okay to shampoo and condition after every workout?
As long as it does not make it dry out. Also make sure you use a good shampoo without any nasties in it
Love from India brother
I'm curious, how would you recommend sleeping with roughly shoulder-length hair? I've been growing my hair out for roughly a year now, but my hair always looks like crap in the morning 😭😭
I don't think there's any way to get out of bed without bed head when your hair is long, it just goes with the territory. You have to be ready to do some care and styling when you get up.
I wear a beanie when I go to sleep
Thomas I love your pizza shirt!
You should tie it up in a manbun
Beard is looking sexayyy, Thomas!
I'm so sad because my best friend has like AMAZING long hair and he wants to cut it off 😨😨😨
Hey everyone i have curly hair but i want to make it a bit more straight and wavey but how do i do it and make it look natural
I wish I could answer your question, but wondering the same thing, as my hair is the same :I
Thx bru and goodluck
@@thatguy236 and to you man.
Keratin treatments work magic
Thx bru will for sure try it out
reached 2 mouths today!
So, why does it feel like my hair has just STOPPED growing! Is it because of my age I'm 52?
Yes, sadly

I have long hair it’s really attractive to girls they totally stress at me like they fall in love at first sight 😂💯♥️
Wait, you're not a straight guy ??!!
Hard to believe...
It not relevant to hair content. We are who we are
@@thomasinaction Ok, well that still doesn't change my opinion about you, you still a great guy from my point of view, sexual orientation don't have nothin to do with the personality
Qu es ce qu elle m enerve la pub religieuse la !!
Can't help but laugh when I hear, "gay movement". That's basically what it is, a movement. It's an idea that makes no sense so a movement has to be created to try to get people to think it makes sense.
Thomas is it possible to lose more than 150 hair strands on shampoo and conditioner day, if other days you might only lose less than 30-40? Is it some kind of balancing things out or something or that's irrelevant?
Yes, it's not that more hair is actually shedding, it's that the shed hair is caught up in the rest of the hair, and the shampoo and conditioner loosen it so that it comes out. It's not like short hair, where the shed hair just drops out steadily. I produce a proper drain-clogging hairball every time I wash my hair (every 3-4 days), and I'm a 40-something woman so I'm not losing hair at any kind of fast rate. It's just normal.
