I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Teaching the mohawk can be challenging, but practicing on a small circle is a great approach. I'm sure your student will benefit from it. Keep up the great work, and feel free to reach out if you need more tips! Happy coaching! 😊⛸️
If it is forward inside Mohawk, I think it is easier to manage transition through first/second ballet position, than fifth, specially for beginners. But whatever works for you is fine. 😊
It varies by individual, and the best way is to consult a good technician. Basically, you want to sharpen your skates after 30 hours of skating. It also depends on your level of skating and the kind of blades you are using.
Thank you, this is exactly what i needed. I am having a hard time teaching my student a mohawk, i will gave her try the small circle

Big THANK YOU for posting it. I'm working on it, and this video is VERY helpful.
I was taught to place a foot on the inside, am I missing something, or it’s just a different kind of the Mohawk-step?

what depth should we sharpen skates to? 5 is slipping and was okay last time, and how often?
