Imagine if hiya makes a gxk kong with a swappable right hand that can be normal/frostbited/beast glove and also an axe and all 3 faces (normal, angry, roaring) + the standard hand set, I would pay more than I did for their Ghidorah 😅
I’ve done some playing around with mine. His shoulders are wayy too deeply set into his body. I’ve been able to remove the balljoint that goes into the body for the arm and stuffed it full of tissue, it took a bit of fiddling to find the right amount. Helps a ton with the proportions
Yeah, that neutral is kinda… Lol. It looks like Kong just finished the largest blunt in existence. Either the roaring face, or the more scrunched up frown face is how I’d display him if I were to buy him. I think overall, for me, the GvK version is still the better looking figure between the two, outside of the fur detail. GvK Kong has better and more accurate proportions, and looks more… Aesthetically pleasing to my UA-cam video viewing eyes. Skull Island Kong is my favorite version of him, but I don’t think Hiya necessarily captured him completely well here. It doesn’t look like a bad figure at all, far from it; he’s just extra plump for some reason lol. I think, as a general Kong figure, this will be awesome for people. But, for a Skull Island Kong specifically, it’s not really doing it for me, looks wise. The articulation and accessories both look great, though!
Yeah I think if they can find a way to blend these two figures (maybe if they make a beast glove version) like proportions of gvk and articulation and roaring face of 2017, it could be pretty dang good
