I really enjoy your tutorials and being a Stones fan from way back, I find a lot of your songs to be a real treat. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge.
Have you ever considered doing tutorials for songs by bands like Breaking Benjamin and Neck Deep? A good song that I would like to learn by breaking Benjamin is "sooner or later" and one by Neck Deep is "cant kick up the roots"
4:41 .. "You've got this E blurting out over everything!" ("Blurting" I love the technical jargon!) Or, you could, like Keith Richards, remove the E string completely! 😉 Took me a while but I adapted this to 3 string cigar box guitar, 'cause it's only rock 'n' roll....
It's funny that no one ever highlights the weird construction of this song. First verse, 9 bars... Second verse, 10 bars... How can anyone learn to play this song without SOMEHOW counting the beats and bars is beyond me...
Joke answer - Just feel it man ✌ Serious answer - Jagger says "I said" before the first beat of the chorus. I.e. "I said, I know, it's only rock..." Little cues like this (lyrics, drum fills, bass cues) give you the heads up that the chorus is about to happen without having to count. Just a thought 🎸
Thank you for covering the intro to the studio version - I couldn't find it on YT until now.
Fun fact Charlie Watts didn't play on the recording. Was Kenney Jones.

But Keith didn't remove the bottom E for this song because it's in standard tuning. He removes the bottom E for the songs he plays in open G.
Great video,cheers'😊😊😊
