Hi mate, marvellous videos as always, a little question, if I send you a bass sample can you tell me how can I make it?
a man I met this evening introduced me to charlesthefirst and about his recent passing. such a horrible loss, the potential and talent he had is so inspiring. really great video, will!
lovin it man! thank you for teaching the ins and outs
Big love, thanks for stopping by!
I use Cubase (not because of preference, it just happens to be the DAW I got when I was 20) but your tutorials translate well on any platform, which is the mark of a good teacher. You've earned yourself an Italian subscriber (exotic, ain't it) and a sofa to crash on whenever you're in Florence.
This is my favourite comment of late. This means so much, thank you for your support friend!
This is great, thank you so much. Would love a video on how to make Odesza type music.
Thanks!!
love this thank u so much!!
Thanks for being here :)
Ohhhh yeahhhhh new camera boyssss
SICK bass design!
Levelling up!!!
You're the first guy I've seen actually explain the automation, thank you !
Thank you! I try my best!
Bunting makes a solid video also check out Bunting Music on UA-cam
Crunchy, love it
Snap, crackle n’ pop!
Yo awesome video! Clozee bass / leads sound design...haven't been able to find any good videos on that!
Wahooooo we did it!
Ayyy thanks for actually considering my request Will much love
My pleasure Adam, I had a blast!
lmao I was wondeing if you saw this yet, turns out you requested it lol
That was great, can you show how to make the drum loops?
Thanks so much for this video!! What is your LFO 1 modulating on the 2nd bass serum to achieve the 808 pitch bend (11:33)?
appreciate the video! first section was great but as someone who doesn't use serum its hard to transfer what you did over to operator.
Just grab a sine wave it's like a default operator
thank you! do you use a limiter somewhere ? because im always very hard clipping with tour method but in the video you are on the green
nice video
sub from me, great tutorial for a great artist, RIP the king
Appreciate you, thanks!
CharlesTheFirst definitely one of the GOATs in production
Can I use a glue compressor on the Master or should I tune each track individually?
Definitely each track individually, it is time consuming but you’ll want to be able to make each track/sound unique. To save CPU you’re going to want to freeze & flatten that track when you’re happy with the sound so you don’t have 60 glue compressors running at the same time so if you put them on the master, you would only have to copy and paste them to tracks anyway. Finally, to speed things up I would create a rack with your glue compressors on that way you don’t have to grab them individually each time!
Hope this helped :)
@@WillHatton Thank you so much!
how would you accomplish this on fl studio?
The process is almost identical, you can use the same tools
Charles brought me here
What software is this?
Ableton
you forgot to mention for bass sound 3 that you need to press the "Wave to FFT" button before setting Bin 8 to your desired percentage (10%) to achieve that sound.
Hey Matthew, thanks so much for your comment. I hadn't mentioned it as I hadn't clicked "Wave to FFT" It's already illuminated by default when I select Analog BD Sine and start to edit Bin 8. Apologies if that's just for me!
@@WillHatton no worries! for me, as i was following along in my serum, I couldn’t figure out why it was different but after some clicking around i figured out i needed to press that button. incredible tutorial nonetheless :)
@@matttolliver Thanks for dropping your comment, hopefully others will see it if they have the same issue!! And thank you for the kind words. What style/s of music are you currently working on friend?
@@WillHatton really been feeling some vibey but dirty sine compression/experimental bass, and for sure some Mersiv style music as well. I was feeling hella inspired by Mersiv after he dropped his Digital Eden album, so i’ve been on that wave for a bit
@@matttolliver thanks for putting Mersiv on my radar!!
how do you guys remember how to add all these little things...........wtf
.....saturator to 45.80 DB, drive to 73 kilowatts ham sammich
