You are the Mozart of wire hangers...wish we had Congers in the Gulf of Mexico so I could join in the fun. Best I can do is throw myself overboard and have someone catch me, ha ha.
Thanks! Didn't want to use a wire which is too weak... I'm gonna give it a try and use this boom for pike fishing and by inserting the short end (where the weight is attached) through an old float i'll get a fledger-boom!
Conger are actually good eating. Cut into 2 - 3lb sections, rub with salt and a squeeze of lemon overnight. Rub with butter, wrap in foil and bake for up to an hour depending on size. Check the flesh is teasing from the bone to make sure its cooked and yummy. They get them in the creels up here. They also cook well filleted in bechamel with tomatoes, shallots and a splash of white wine
I'm right handed but have always reeled in with my left. It makes it so that you don't have to switch hands after casting out, and plus, when you set the hook, you are setting the hook with your more powerful side (right side).
A Cod tutorial would be great...if we could find any Cod !! Shore fishing for them this year seems awful, and I reckon they have probably gone through by now.Still a few in the boats, but very patchy.Lots of blanks.I even tried Eastbourne from "The Wall" where I used to get them.Zippo! But keep watching though,we might get lucky.
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Bennett Lachlan I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
'holy beans on a shingle batman!!! that is a monster eel! '🤙 'and that one'... later on ...'and that one is huge'...at show's end 'and another huge one'.. after the show... 'holy beans that was a bunch of big eels'
Had 2 rods snapped here a 20lb class rod and a 20-30lb snapped with HUGE congers on in kayak, my mate winched in Blue sharks over 60lb on that same outfit no probs. Next time I'm using 30-50lb class. All the congers in the past I had in the kayak there have only been up to 30lb and the tackle handled them ok was not expecting them to get in the area of 60lb upwards but then again this is the manacles its really something else.
At 10:50 : "have some respect for the power of those jaws, and wear a pair of leather gloves" At 16:20 : Graeme is wrestling with a Conger with no gloves 10cm from is mouth. Funny, Nice vid guys!
A Wilson Flyer. About the cheapest good boat you can get.17 feet long.I have a 60 Yamaha 4-stroke on mine. Will do 30 mph 2 up ,flat calm etc. You can put a 70 but not really a need. I won't be changing it any time soon. Last year we got the biggest shark in Britain with it.Check our film out on the site.

Great video!!

I liked this channel!
Anyone notice the conger peeing at 17:33? :p

Hi, not related question but can you tell me how big your boat is. Thanks Darren
17-feet.
What type and size of hook do you use for this Graham?
No idea on make, for size I guess something around 6/0,lots of anglers use O'Shaughnessy pattern.
Fantastic video. Fantastic channel. Thanks! FW

"Away with you women -and dont come back!" LOL!!. That pints still on the bar for you Graham in the Lemon Arms Graham if your back down this way ;)
Good job greats from the netherlands
May can you explain the different between conger eels and the "normal" eel ?
Do you ever use a t-bar for unhooking ?
All the time,but mine has a "V" rather than a loop. I have a 2-foot long T-bar for sharks.
oh okay just curious because i live in the usa i fish alot i go when ever i get the chance
Did the line snap?
those fishes are really big and fast it almost got my hand rip at 18 kg in greece korinthos
Can you do a vid on fishing for congers from the shore line?

what kind of boat is that?
my girlfriend caught a small conger with a ragworm today in ireland
sure it wasnt a silver eel?
if u want to know they're real name mate, they are called strap conger eels because that's just what they look like tbh!
actually u might be correct there mate I dunno tho, silvers are usually green on top and white on the bottom
heavy monofilament, 150lb test is about right.
That thing looks like the old drawings of sea monsters.
I like fishing for carp and catfish sometime bass
are you left-handed?
What kind real you have
its a lever drag boat multiplier mate, but I dunno what make or price it is tho
im right handed and i reel in with my left hand, its funny when people ask other people that XD
I'm not,but Wayne winds his reels left handed.
caught one of these before... snapped my 11 ft. surf rod. ):
le crochet dans la geule du congre sa serai cool d'éviter surtout si tu les relâche !!!!!!!! :O
are congers edible ?
Yes they are edible, but not great to eat.
TAFishing any chance on a video showing us how to make the sewer pipe feeder
me too :P
Old piratos
Let's all do the conger
yeah your really funny mate
JJCWhitey56 I know
William Davies mate it's called sarcasm
My friend lost a finger when one bit him
It was something like 19 kilos
ouch I feel sorry for him but he can still fish right?
He sure can. Happened before I was born so I haven't seen it first hand but I've seen them bite trough all sorts of stuff. One ripped my jeans once. Thank goodness it missed my leg.
CroatiaSurvival that was close then! There was one kid near where I leave fishing watchet harbour I think in the Bristol channel and his dad caught a conger it turned on him and bit his foot
they do not taste good, but more importantly is that they take a long time to be as large ( 40-90 years) so please release them
Use mackerelwire
Conger eels
Decides to eat one after he took bites from my mackerels in my net. Tastes blandly of mud, chewy and no fat to speak of. Toss it back.
You cool
looks like more fish then than now in 2020 :(
Surely you believe Carol??
but he reels in with the right hand :S
Why don’t wear gloves???
It peed XD
And don't get your hands in their mouth! Check out the bloke who just got part of his face taken off by one.
First again!
Judging by your accent and mustache, you probably catch thousands of these with your bare hands off camera.
Why mono leader, why not wire? Then perhaps you won’t lose so many and there aren’t fish left with hooks stuck in them.
never believe a women LOL
nobody cares!
