Engine 4.0 is a great update. However, I still miss being able to give or withdraw a star rating "on the flight". I can do that on the PC version, but I would greatly appreciate it if this function could also be entered on the Denon Prime 4.
Absolutely.... Sometimes I buy a tune.. give it a quick rating of say 3 stars.... But then play it on a big system and it goes off.... I then need to re rate it or I'll forget down the track.
It’s a great update! The only thing I wish that it could do, is to turn off/on the “lead” symbol and have the option to have the phase meter or beat meter on view. It all looks clean on the SC6000’s 👌🏾
Agree 100%. I have PTSD about loading a track at 116bpm on deck 2 and it loads synced to the deck 1 which is playing a 123bpm despite the fact that I have the bpm and beatgrid locked. So I unlock the bpm in the beatgrid editor and use the tempo slider to “reset” the bpm of deck 2 and inadvertently change the tempo of deck one live as it’s playing…🤦♂️ the only way I’ve figured out how to resolve this is by shift-select the sync button on deck 1, loading a different track, then reloading the track I wanted. I find that sync seems to automatically enable itself as the default? I’d like a setting that allows me to either disable sync entirely or to always disable it upon loading a track.
@DikDastardly its powerful . But it was plagued with alot of channel fader issues. I owned it. My Channel 2 started bleeding. The send and return as well is not ergonomic. I love the live streaming option tho. Restyle the fx strip as well. But other than that , its a tank .
@@papi_roisterous I haven't had those issues yet but tbh I did have annoying other issues; Like my left player having his A/B channels swapped while in a gig! Or the mixer not playing any sound. I had to restart it before I started my set. I hope those bugs are gone now. The set ended well but every track I played with the left player my heart raced as I was scared I wouldn't have any sound yet. Normally my layer 1 is on channel one and Layer B is on channel 3. (Player 3 used channels 2 and 4). So on player A I had only 1 layer left which was A and it used fader channel 3, the one from the B deck!! And on layer B I just had NO output at all. When the set was done and I was back home, a reboot of all hardware fixed it but I lost confidence. I hope this won't ever happen again. I was on v 1.7 formware on the X1850 and OS3.
Nice all of these thousand views but is there a Tidal/Beatport BPM/KEY sort feature in the new update or do you still have to struggle like before? It would be great if you could analyze all songs in one of your playlists and sort them all without having to use rekordbox🙂
@@PDot just updated last night but when going through the different view modes I’m only able to see A/B from the same deck. Even when I go to the layer settings and select a channel from the other deck…mind elaborating? Thank you by the way
If im not wrong i do believe the SC5000/SC6000 line output is better than the CDJ SERIES and has more support in terms of file formats. It also supports MP4 . Which even the CDJ 3000 DOESNT.
I gone the other way, a pioneer fanboi, CDJ's, plx turntables, DJM mixers Right up until i used a Denon SC5000 That's when the pioneers got sold But, I'd still say the DJM 900 is streets ahead of the 1800 or 1850 tho, if the DJM could link with SC players i'd have kept it, but the features of a linked 1800 with your players is worth the trade off

Agreed 💯
Totally wack.
We can edit entire beat grids on the fly, but simply ticking a star rating on the “GO” isn’t available

Good video. Thanks.
Time to update mine. I have the SC6000's but recently got the Rev 5 also.
Thanks for the video. I just got 2 of the Denon SC 6000M media players with a pioneer S7 mixer how do you connect the players to the mixer.
Thanks
@@2119rocky connect them via RCA and USB
Amazing engine update. Still giving new life to old gear . Now the need to work on a powerful mixer.
The X1850 is a monster of a mixer

Just wondering what control disc are you using on the 5000 and how is it compared to the original disc?
Those are from 12 Inch Skinz

It has new feature where if someone else already analyzed you don’t need to analyzed it.
@@bboymac84 unfortunately didn't see that yet. Maybe because I don't play the hits haha
So how are you seeing the waveform from the other player and not just layer B?
The Denon players now have a 2 deck view so you can see both decks at once.
