Holy THANKS VIDIQ! Couldn't have done it without you!
nice work mam
Congratulations. You may just have the most down to earth channel I’ve seen ❤
Congratulations! You're an inspiration to us all!
Congratulations! Your a great inspiration to all of us! Definitely one that was needed but never known until we received it!
It’s because of Jen that I’m getting a wiggle on with my channel… she’s a total inspiration!!
Am rocking with my 20 views , cause they are rocking with me 😊.
😆 same with me too
Exactly! Your biggest supporters!
4:24 ❤❤❤
20??🤕
I’m happy with my loyal clan too, but would like to grow the channel to get monetized 😊
I love that this story looks like it's "sweet old lady stumbles into success" but the reality is she's smart and capable and knew exactly what she was and is doing.
@HayleyHadeez I have to agree with you lol. She's definitely part of the 10%-ters that are suited for this. Nonetheless, still a great story.
Right, I mean look at her collection of books she’s obviously a dedicated learner of ‘things’ which is pretty darn cool!
UA-cam can be very disheartening and knock you down when you videos flop and constantly make 10/10’s but I am leaving this comment here so that after some hours, days, weeks, months or years when someone likes or comment on it, I will be reminded to thank myself for NEVER GIVING UP!
Lets keep grinding! ❤
I've been saying to never give up for two years. A few weeks back I did in fact give up... If your niche just happens to not be the exact same thing the algorithm now loves you will never grow... No matter consistency, quality of your content or even audience engagement... My audience engagement is amazing and has been for well over a year, resulting in many subs, despite the video's hardly showing up to anyone... The result is 2.6K subs, yet not even half-way the first tier of monetization... Stuck at 1400 watch hours for a year now and it's not changing. Every single video just flops... Even the ones that had a 30% clickrate and 70-80% AVD for a long time!
I'm 54 and monetized my channel in 3 months. Almost 6.4k subs currently and making money on UA-cam. Consistency. Determination. Keep at it.
@TwoFeetOutdoors you sir, found a gold mine! Congrats for the quick monetization! You're going to blow up.
@@GavinKohAquascaping thank you.
Solid 💯
Wow ! Congrats
Congratulations! That's amazing.
I started making trash picking videos with my phone after a divorce at 48. 247,000 subscribers later I have almost 90 million views. Thanks vid IQ
You got this!
👍
*This is exactly what happened with me and my Numismatic channel! From one single viral video, I reached 1K subs very fast and got monetized directly!* 😁😁😁
Nice! I like metals stacking because it's so simple, but I've always had respect for the numismatic guys because the depth of knowledge required is impressive, you probably learn a lot of history too. I'll check ya out.
My videos suck, I got a few coins roll hunting videos, but mostly metal detecting, I know a tiny bit about numismatics, in Canadian coins
@@digginggopher you just need to be patient my friend. Your time will come to shine.
@@drivingdaily582 I loved coins and banknotes since kid and this was my obvious niche choice. I've learned a lot new stuff since I started my channel and this was positive also for selling online.
All the best to all small channels ❤
Keep trying you will grow for sure ❤
Thanks alot
Thanks ❤
Thank you - same to you
Absolutely
Thank you
UA-cam is hard and I'm full time law enforcement but i truly hope we all make it
Yes
Amen
I fully understand working all the time then making videos, definitely a lot to keep up with, but I think ots worth it. Ill check out your channel bro.
I know at least half my videos are good..i get a few subs each release but some videos i think the thumb and stuff are nailed i get no views or subs....btw i refunded police inside virtual reality for future fun cops and robbers 2024....im a VR guy now hahaha
Law enforcement. You would hate my content lol
Thank you VidIQ! I just got fully monetized a few hours ago 😆🎉
NICE!
Congratulations 👍
Congratulations
Congrats!
Cogratulations!!!!
I think in a way it’s better that Jen doesn’t have the a set up that’s too fancy or high-spec because it’s her relatability and genuineness that makes people feel like they can trust her and want to hear what she has to say. Really pleased for her.
That sense of connection to a UA-camr is definitely what makes all the difference. There are some creators I follow and whose advice I take when making videos but others whose style and delivery just makes me switch off immediately. I know it's about the message not the messenger but I just can't watch coaches who are constantly in your face, speaking rapidly or have that weird nervous energy.
@@HayleyHadeez I know what you mean.
I can't actually watch Mr Beast. It gets exhausting and I don't like being shouted out.
@@WillowsAIAcademy yeah there's one creation coach whose approach is "why aren't you listening to me?" and has this very unsettling nervous energy about them. I can't watch their videos at all as they're so condescending.
Silver and Solo!! Love her channel :-) She is my inspiration for starting UA-cam again. Thanks Jen!!
It is so cool to see Jen featured here! I’ve been watching her for a while and she’s so genuine, love her channel and her success!
Trying my best but not getting views
But i will not giveup

Hi, My Best Advice is to have patience! 🙂 You started Your Channel 2 days ago, it takes time to grow, You are getting some views. Good to see You will not give up. However here’s a few things to help Your Channel grow; You could change Your Channel Name to Title Case as this will stand-out more than lower case, possibly add 1 or 2 animal emojis to Your Channel name to help stand-out? Your channel handle doesn’t relate to Your Channel name so You could consider changing this? Video and Shorts titles should be in Title Case, not lower case, especially place names and countries. Please check spelling on Jellyfish short Title as Beautiful is misspelt. Squirrel is misspelt on the Short, however Please Don’t Delete to Re-upload - unless You make it clear it’s not a duplicate in Description & title (V2) or similar, because UA-cam are clamping down on Spam Posting! 😳
You don’t need trending hashtag, this is generic. Your thumbnail with lowercase text would look better in Title Case especially as place name & country, thumbnail can easily be amended & replaced. Please look at Your Channel Description because 1st line unfortunately goes onto 2 lines re line spacing, so only “hello” is shown without clicking arrow / read more. 100K Subs joke could give wrong 1st impression, Please don’t mention Subs - Channel Description should be like a “Mission Statement for Your Channel”; what your channel is about, why you create content, what inspires you, maybe a related quote? Consider typing Channel Description in Sentence case instead of lower case?
Verify Your UA-cam account on UA-cam Studio to unlock Your Community tab and help to Build Your Community. I hope this helps? I wish You well with Your Channel. UA-cam is a Marathon, Not a Sprint. Best Wishes, Amanda 🙂
In starting i was getting views but now views are getting lower and lower UA-cam is like a rollercoaster ride i am enjoying and i will improve my content and monitize my channel
All the best to everyone ❤
We will make it together ❤
Sure buddy we will ♥
Same happened to me with my shorts. Look at my channel I was hitting up to 1.3 thousand views each video and then YT pulled the plug, dropped down to 3 or 4 views each even after 48 hours and those I took private. I have decided to stop all long form and concentrate on shorts. All my subs so far generated from shorts when those views were coming in. If YT would not have pulled the plug I could had been monetized in 6 months. Now that’s projected out to two plus years. I was going to quit and I’ve gotten a dozen emails to me saying do not quit this niche. Just grind away.
same in case I uploaded one video on youtube & just get 7 view Than i uploade same video on facebook & got more than100 views
I still don't understand why this happens
I agree. Now I’m losing the yearly watch time because of this. Videos are much better but Views are much lower than last year! 😢
This is exactly right! I have been monetized for 8 months and I am still constantly learning. But I watch videos in the same niche and adjust and learn daily.
Also, I improve with every new video I make! All the love and motivation to you! ❤
I have 583 videos only have 443 subs. I still have a long way to go to get monetized and like I said before I have now been doing this for almost 8 goddamn years.
work on your thumbnails and title
Oh this is injustice 😅
If you've been watching VidIQ, you should know why. Just the titles are atrocious.
I have a UA-cam channel that only posted about 11 videos and has about 600+ subscribers. I ran another channel and earned 150+ subs from just one video. What has this experience proven? It is a skill, a trainable muscle. Even the best videos can be improved.
For more luck, be sure to listen to my nightcores!
Been consistently making videos every day for about 3 months now and finally starting to see slight progress. It’s a grind for sure. If you are reading this I wish you and your channel all the success in the world 😊
Wow, this is exactly what I needed! Your advice on monetization is spot-on and very detailed. Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable information. I can't wait to implement these strategies and see the results. Your content is always top-notch!
it took me 13 months to monetize my channel, and it now been a year since ive been monetized and i still havent made £2800 in total 😭 shes absolutely rocking it 😎
Can confirm, doubling down on your best video is magic. They’re both #1 & #2 on my channel.
We started our channel on 4/24/24 and its already growing. The creator experience is so exciting and fun!
Its been 6 month, I have 832 subs and 4k watch hours, I’m almost there and I was so so damn consistent and still am, if its your passion then it should be a hustle, get there or die trying ( follow this mentality and you will be successful g
Thanks for the encouragement! Good luck to everyone trying to get monetized.
I got monetize last week and it took 18 months and 75 videos. It only took 1 video to get me the watch hours about a month ago.
Congratulations! Great job!
@@vidIQthx! 5 days after that all my impressions dropped by 90% on the videos that were doing great. Oh well, it’s one hurdle achieved 👍.
Thank you Rob! I'll keep trying!
I really want this to be happening with my channel 😅
Same here 😁
There's definitely a lot I personally can relate to here. I had a big drop-off in pretty much everything just a couple of weeks ago. Everything was going great and then... nothing. I was at that point where I could've just given up but as I enjoy what I do I decided to try and push through it. It took some time but my latest video got six times the views of my previous one. Still not as high as the usual 1000+ views I was getting and my Subscriber numbers haven't seen as big an uptick but I'm definitely doing better and hoping this is going to see a return to the performance I was reaching.
On the subject of the ''viral moment'' and learning from it, given my breakout moment was a video called ''Naked for You'' (which despite sounding a bit like clickbait is actually a tender power ballad about allowing yourself to be vulnerable) got 48k views, mostly from 65+ year old men in India, I'm wondering if I'm on the right video streaming platform... ;)
About to hit 13k subs - that’s in part down to Learning from VidIQ videos like this and just grafting over and over again.
I love Jens work because it shows that anyone cand blow up on UA-cam if they stay consistent and improve. Thanks Rob! 🎉
i really hope i get monetised because youtube scammed me of 21 SGD >:(

I just had one of my best days yesterday. As far as getting subscribers I got 25 in one day. I’m absolutely ecstatic and that’s totally just complete awesome sauce! As my favorite Time traveler says “great Scott”. 🎉🎉😂
When she said "You have To learn, You have to learn" that is so true. I am a new youtuber and its not easy, however i await that day to come when i get MONETIZED. And with that being said, CONSISTENCY is key.
Love what people are commenting. They are all right ❤
This is probably the best yt advise I’ve seen. Thank you
Congratulations to you channel
Im far from being monetized but keep going. If you’re reading this and just starting, don’t give up, you will get there. Biggest tip from anyone is consistency. Create a schedule and stick to it! Good job and keep it up y’all!
Thank you for talking about Jen today. You gave me hope and encouragement. I appreciate that. I can relate to her by not having editing skills or everything she said, but watching your vidIQ videos helps me understand and learn step by step those skills. I am growing my channel every day and I am still learning to improve and get monetize soon.Thank you. She is amazing!!!💖🤗
Very cool, hoping the best to all of the growing UA-camrs out there! Stay with it!
I really need this thanks!
Wow! Her video is actually what motivated my bride and me to start our channel. I am glad to see her get some recognition. Awesome! of all the millions of videos out there she passed both of our paths.
Thank you so much I'll do that
Thank you for this kind of video...
If you spend time watching Jen's videos and get to know her, you'll quickly see she is far from ‘ordinary’. Her success on UA-cam is backed by her personality and life attitude.
Thank you Vidiq for this I will not give up I'm very positive that good things are coming and good luck to you all creators 🥰🙏
Nice suggestions!
This was so inspirational. My niche is self-improvement, motivation, self-love and self-care. I am not getting much views. I have 367 subscribers. I watch vidIQ videos and videos of other content creators. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Great tips! I was making more videos but am making one video per week at present.
I have 28k subs and still not monetized, some days we have good views and other bad.what i also find strange is that when we promote a video UA-cam sends a lot of views and subs to my channel so there is audience but when you dont pay they cand send the audience.? But we are still going strong to get monetized😊
Hey really love your videos and your tips are really helpful! I did as you said and after just getting 10-20 views per video i made 2 video which both hit over 1800 views. Right now I'm trying to get into real editing software because I edited the videos with my smartphone and they're far away from the quality i want them to be. I will definitely watch more of your videos! Have a great day.
Although this ladies niche is very different from our channels niche, we have incredible similarities in what we did to get monetized and make actual money off UA-cam (we did it in 6 months)
You don’t need expensive equipment(We use our phones, a mic and a small tripod)
We try to post every week.
We devour educational UA-cam channels like this all the time to get better along with video editing channels.
And we’re narrowing down our viewer avatar.
Don’t give up! Thanks for the great videos vidIQ!🤙
I hit 500 today! I am chuffed! I however have low long form view times. One battle down another being fought!
nice video , i am understand youtube better then before thanks to you.
Awesome and wholesome content! And Rod is doing Gods work for UA-camrs starting off.
Working hard to get monetized. Thanks for the tips! 🎉
These tips are great. Would love to see some results on my end...
This is not the average result, but a carefully selected yet unique example. Most budding creators, frankly, do all of these things.
I reached 1k and 4000 hours in 6 months. Secret is consistency, improvement and a vision. I’m at 3.5k now. I haven’t any experience in UA-cam. I just love what I’m doing and investing on my channel :)
Awesome guide to everyone is a big help!❤❤❤
Her stats is amazing :O :D
So amazing!
Nice video!
Hope everything goes generously well. Best of luck to all of us 😅
Thank you for the video 😊 I’m not giving up 🌸🌙
This was very informative. Much success everyone, you’ve got this.
You too ❤
Just to be clear guys. Not all youtubers tell this. But your earnings depends on what country you live in and the country your videos are most watched and what CONTENT your channel IS ABOUT.. So don't be encouraged too soon and be discourage for this info im telling. Learn fRom her strategy and not from how she earns money. QUALITY before MONEY. and CHOOSE a CONTENT that MAKES You HAPPY and thus make it EASIER for you.
Thanks for information ❤🎉
Thank you so much, i learned something and it's good things that you didn't put some song, cause i got more focus on information
Keep feeding us this info, you guys are great and give me a literal push!
I hit 4,000 watch hours yesterday and hit 1k subs. Took 1 month. Technically I hit 2k subs but Ive had this channel for years and had 838 subs. Didnt upload for 5 years and started a different niche so its funny because on the day I passed 4k watch hours I hit 1,838 subs. This morning Im over 2k subs and 7k watch hours thanks VidIQ
We keep going..at the end we will get there
I have been enjoying Jen's channel for a while, she has terrific advice all around
I essentially had to muddle through learning the whole thing. You can go online to dozens of gurus and they will show you basics, often with screens and menus that don't even match to your own. Online learning can be frustrating and with so many chefs, really hard to get a definitive answer to many important things. So you learn by making mistakes and slowly working stuff out. I have literally stumbled along for 4 months now and it's really just been the last few weeks where things have really begun to move, so keep with it people, eventually the light switches on! Just knuckle down, grind, learn, don't stress just enjoy the experience, it WILL happen and if you cannot find a "niche" don't worry after a few months the niche will actually find you!
Best wishes for all new YT channels ✌️
Thanks 😁
Thank you , same to you 👍
Thank you 😊 you too

Thank you so much for the motivation VIDIQ! I haven't posted any video for over a year and procrastinating like crazy - that horse is totally at the fence! I've just discovered you and so glad I did! I may just get back at it, thanks to you! Here's to all us wee channels at home. We can do it!
Hi, been following this channel recently and it gave a lot of insight.
I want to start a 2nd channel where i just document me learning or trying to start passions/hobbies that i am interested in.
However, i don't know what niche this is, and what to label it as. Originally i was planning to have it be all in 1 channel, but would that mess up the algorithm if i have 3 videos about 3d graphics, 4 about editing, 2 about music, etc, but i also considered making seperate channels for each thing.
What should i do?
I love Jen and watched all her monetization videos.
Really good informative video, gives you a lot to think about.
Good Morning ♥
Wealth of information in this video!
I've had my channel for nearly 9 months now and I hit 1000 subs recently - your videos are definitely very helpful! I still have not gotten monetized as I don't have 4000 watch hours as I am primarily a shorts youtuber - but the shorts criteria is quite high. Anyone have any advice?
I follow Jen. She has a very supportive community and she is a genuinely nice person! 😊
Last week i gained 3 subscriber.
It ain't much but honest work 👨🌾
I think each subscriber Gained is one more than what we previously had which is awesome especially for small channels. Keep it up
@@Joe_Lego_Fandom yeah, you're right! Thanks for the Motivation 👊🔥
Good video thank you
Watching right now, this is exciting😁
This is what I’d…
Start a new channel. And spend an entire month on the first video, thumbnail and title.
My current channel is messed up due to multiple subject streams. Refocus on just one subject, and do a lot of research for the first 5 videos.
Thanks vid IQ I started in February now I have 469 subs on my channel with your help. At one point, though, about giving up. I'm glad I didn't.
Thanks rob for another great video! :D
It took me nearly a year to get monetized since I upload short animations, making 4000 hours tough. I didn't mind though, as I love building a community. Monetization is just a bonus that might allow me to go full-time someday :)
Thank you.❤
Bro about to make it❤
Question, what would you recommend, I can upload 2 videos, but no time to invest in learning new edit strategy, or 1 video and progress. I am giving ~2-3h daily for YT, as I am working and YT is the side project for fun. Please let me know
Very nice ❤
I just keep up the grind. I had a video back in February which got me 20k views and thought I’d cracked it. Then a lot of vids only getting a few hundred. It gets disheartening at times but just yesterday I realised a vid and it’s got me 15 extra subscribers. It’s a rollercoaster UA-cam! Keep at it all, we can do it!🎉🎉
Everyone do not give up you will make it one day
This lad knows what he's on about, I'm following a lot of your tips and slowly growing, seeing improvement for sure 🤙
Thanks for this content 😁
Any tips about getting more fluent in speaking english if your mother language is not english?
Analyzing the metrics of her viral video would be most interesting. Views are not difficult if the algorithm rains down impressions upon a video. But the algorithm can be very stubborn handing out impressions. On her first successful video what were the impressions, CTR, average watch time, watch percentage, source of views (suggested videos, browse feature, search, other, external)? Let's look under the hood.
Just started my channel few weeks ago, hope im doing everything right 😅🙏
