Thank you sir!!! Been seeing a lot more Delta 777s as of late & it's radical. Almost as radical as severe thunderstorms. I'll be keeping it up all summer baby! And fall. And winter. etc etc
Thanks Evan! Oh buddy, do I have good news for you! Delta now has 4 77L flights that show up around 4:30 or 5 & then leave again around 6-7. They come & go from DTW, LAX, LHR & of course Jo-burg.
I remember flying to my home country of Sweden a few times and getting a couple of ground stops. One was when we flew from White Plains, NY to Chicago O'Hare and getting stuck in Chicago for seven hours. That was a wicked upper Western thunderstorm. Legendary! The second time was when we flew out of Philadelphia to Sweden. That was also a very severe thunderstorm. There we only got stuck for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours which was not too bad. However we were on the plane and on the tarmac. There, though, I got to fly first class!
HEY T-Bird! I hope you Bostonians are behaving yourselves up there! You guys need to come down here one weekend. Seriously. Jen will require pre-boarding sedation of course. But I'm sure you can handle that. Come on down to the Renny!
AWESOME!!!! video Matt. You my excitable friend are very funny and good at the commentary game. Really enjoy the video's can tell you're very passionate about the planes, and that makes it even better. Hope one day to visit ATL on a spotting trip. Keep up the excellent work
As always Matt, love your stuff. The thunderstorms we've been having here in the ATL have made things very interesting. I've seen all your videos through all 4 seasons and its fun to see the change in conditions. No F bombs on this session. What's up? Going PG-13 on us?
Thanks Rob! I agree on the Tstorms. The one last week w/the rainbow has been my favorite so far. I'd still like to see one w/more violence though. VERY awesome you've kept up w/my "video almanac" thru the seasons. Funny you mention that actually, because that's kind of my objective in making these things. I wanna capture Hartsfield in every season, time of day & weather condition possible. I didn't realize I'd failed to drop F bombs in this one. DAMNIT! I'll have to make up for it in a future vid
Another SUPER video! I clearly see how your really use your environment (weather) to your advantage to continue to make these kick ass videos! SUPER! I'm surprised on the lack of cargo I saw at the bay or was I wrong? Anywho NICELY DONE
Thanks man! It's actually quite satisfying when someone recognizes the correlation between environmental conditions & aircraft in my adventures. For me, this hobby is all about both. And of course my loud mouth
Thanks Luke! Me too actually. It's kinda funny how I kept saying "alright, this is the last one - grand finale" but still couldn't pull myself away. And it's a good thing I didn't! Would've hated to miss all those heavies
Thank you sir! I've actually been seeing more Delta 777s in recent weeks as they've been operating to DTW, LAX, LHR & Tambo. All of them depart right around the same time too. Delta used to fly ATL - Shanghai a couple of years ago. Don't know why they stopped. But I'd absolutely love to seem em add all of those routes out of ATL
Quick question: at 6:39, I saw an AirTran flight in the distance. Isn't AirTran part of Southwest now? I do believe that USAirways is now part of American if I am not mistaken.
Hey buddy could you film my flight´s takeoff ? wednesday August 13th on flight Delta 2255 B772LR to LAX. Departure time is 6:55pm. It would be awesome to see the takeoff from another perspective and with your commentary ! I know its not Saturday or Sunday but i hope you have time :)
AWWW DUDE! You get to fly on 2255!!?? I've seen that one a lot over the last couple of weeks. Since you depart on a work day it might be hard for me to get down there. I get off at 5:30 & work in Duluth. So it really all depends on traffic. Remind me once we get a little bit closer & I'll see what I can do
Aw man! I'd love to come out there & see you depart, but as I'm sure you know I have a 9 to 5 job Monday thru Friday. I took a day off last Wednesday so it's doubtful I'll be able to pull another one.
It all depends on the radar & how hard it's raining. On this particular day I could tell that the rain would be short-lived so I tolerated the umbrella for a bit. On days when it's pouring & there's no end in sight, I always go down a level
I enjoy your work, but I have just one question for you . How in the world are you able to get away with filming these planes at the airport being this close to the runway without getting arrested by either airport or city police? That was very interesting seeing how the planes bank to avoid the storm clouds during takeoff. And the storm itself was quite interesting in itself. I say this because I love summer thunderstorms! I used to live in Central Florida in a city named Satellite Beach from 1969 to 1971 when I was a kid in elementary school. My late father was in the Air Force and he was stationed at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, also known as The Cape, while my family and I lived in the Patrick AFB housing units. Anyway, summer thunderstorms were quite common there during the summer months June,July and August. I currently live in Southern C.A., but I go on summer vacations to Central Florida frequently. I went there this past summer and last year as well. Atlanta airport is an awesome airport to be at if you are an aviation enthusiast as you are! I flew through there this past June and July since I flew Delta Airlines out of LAX and connected to Melbourne,Florida out of Atlanta and did the same on the way home. There is obviously plenty of action at Atlanta Hartsfield! Great job once again! Keep up the good work sir!
Nice Video Matt! Liked seeing all those 777 & Air France 747. Also SWEET Thunderstorms! Keep Up The Amazing Work My Friend!
Thank you sir!!! Been seeing a lot more Delta 777s as of late & it's radical. Almost as radical as severe thunderstorms. I'll be keeping it up all summer baby! And fall. And winter. etc etc
beautiful work matt love the 777's my favorite. a little cooler here today. no rain until another week or two. thank you matt for everything you do
Thanks Evan! Oh buddy, do I have good news for you! Delta now has 4 77L flights that show up around 4:30 or 5 & then leave again around 6-7. They come & go from DTW, LAX, LHR & of course Jo-burg.
look forward to seeing the added 777's and seeing you again. happy thoughts matt. thank you as always
Great vid Matt!!!!
Thanks Mark!

Thanks Aaron!
Your commentary is outstanding and class mate. Awesome video.
Nice video Matt!! Good shooting of the 777s and AF 747!! You did an amazing job!
Thank you sir! If there's weather in the area & I'm able to get down to the field, you know I'll be down there shooting!

Dude, your first Friday in June was epic! The heavies with their wonderful vapor! So very cool. I'm spent from 2000 miles away...
Love the heavies!✈
I love when the weather goes down.
I crave violent weather. And the opportunity to combine it w/aviation.
Love a nice 30 kt crosswind with some snow to make the RVR about 3000.
Another SUPER video! I clearly see how your really use your environment (weather) to your advantage to continue to make these kick ass videos! SUPER! I'm surprised on the lack of cargo I saw at the bay or was I wrong? Anywho NICELY DONE

Your dedication to brave this crazy weather to me,I am very thankful
Stopped. Looked. Liked.
Very concise & to the point.
Read. Scanned for Sarcasm. Smiled. Liked
I've been slacking on the sarcasm...
I hate those ground stops Thanks Matt
I really enjoye the last five minutes of this video!
Thanks Luke! Me too actually. It's kinda funny how I kept saying "alright, this is the last one - grand finale" but still couldn't pull myself away. And it's a good thing I didn't! Would've hated to miss all those heavies
The sign of a true planespotter
Nice video Matt Love the Delta 777's i wonder if Delta will add Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong out of Atlanta your thoughts
Thank you sir! I've actually been seeing more Delta 777s in recent weeks as they've been operating to DTW, LAX, LHR & Tambo. All of them depart right around the same time too. what tracking app do you use?
& cool vids, i watch every one and get a kick out of your comments, hi from philly international!
The MD88 is heavy
Yeah, sometimes they pack em full. Resulting in a sweet long take off roll
that 757 with the satelite tv hump with no winglets, i though all the ex song birds got them
Quick question: at 6:39, I saw an AirTran flight in the distance. Isn't AirTran part of Southwest now? I do believe that USAirways is now part of American if I am not mistaken.
Awesome video!! Nice commentary!! :-)
Thanks buddy! I'm a wanna-be meteorologist in addition to an aviation loudmouth
Nice one! Enjoyed it as always :D
Thanks man! Glad you dig it

I was gonna met you up too but, I'm in Europe at the moment.
Aw man! I'd love to come out there & see you depart, but as I'm sure you know I have a 9 to 5 job Monday thru Friday. I took a day off last Wednesday so it's doubtful I'll be able to pull another one.
Why don't you go down a level when it rains
It all depends on the radar & how hard it's raining. On this particular day I could tell that the rain would be short-lived so I tolerated the umbrella for a bit. On days when it's pouring & there's no end in sight, I always go down a level
