Is it just me or do tri-holers have a more shallow angle of rotation than other jets? Anyways, love seeing one of my favorite jets ever the MD-11. Awesome footage!
Excellent video!! Worked on those BAX Global DC-8 and Kitty Hawk 727-200 while employed as a ramp agent from Integrated Airline Service at KIAH in 1999 as well as the Martinair 747-200 (cargo only). Also loved seeing those classic Delta livery and the unforgettable L-1011 TriStars (flown on them twice). And Continental's MD-9 during the Gordon Bethune era.
L1011s, DC-10s , 727s.....and Vanguard Airlines. Based out of Kansas City. Loved them. They would offer $50 round trip tickets from Atlanta to Chicago!
Delta TriStars and MD-11s, during the overlap period. Which lasted longer? 🤔 Some airlines there I'd never heard of with elderly 737-200s, but some smart liveries

The Lockheed TriStar L-1011's were my favorite aircraft of all time! Not better has been built before or since!

Yes, the shortened MD-87. Not very many were manufactured as the MD-81/82/83/88 models were the more sought after.
the advantage of these MD-87s was the distance they could travel and it had more distance than the other MD-80s
So much has changed in 21 years. But not a single capture of 747 at Atlanta

But the first landing yes that was a 737

I like DL and all but man do I wish they could reintroduce a special retro livery for the 1990s widget.
