I was thinking I'd have to go find another guide for the actual process of fishing, but you covered that too, right down to showing your exact keybinds. How refreshingly thorough. So many guides for this game feel like recaps for veterans that can't be bothered with trivial details, so thanks for not doing that.
you prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Devon Briar i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It's already a warzone out there in the sea. So its up for discussion how nice and easy fishing is. Considering you are spending most of the labor upfront to catch the fish. Getting in to the sale stand in one piece is a different story.
Newcomer to AA:Unchained ( havent played original AA) this and other guides by you, helps alot, and it is true what u said, ppl are assholes. Thank you so much for this, u deserve a medal! I love you man!
This was awesome thank you. Really left me with no questions as to how it works. I had a sport fishing zone in my front lawn and had no idea. Gweonid Forest.
im lvl 40 atm trying to hit max lvl. I do like your guide, i'm pressing pause saving your video for some juicy ass content at the end. Thank you for making this. Keep it up fam:)
the thing I love about sport fishing is that you might get lucky and get a very good fish, I managed to get a fish worth 44g on my 2nd or 3rd try, and someone I knew stole a Fish worth 58g! (did it in one of the many fishing raids that are popular for the Boat design)
farming mineral water for arch tree saplings, (i make about 200-500g a day) cargo run for pigmets. (75-125g a day) farming logs for lumber (25g-100g a day) and for the lantern festival that started today selling iron ingots (24-84g a day) thats my set up least. paused at 2:14 gonna finish video now
On Unchained it is pretty much only available through Diligence coins. That said they are tradeable. On my server, they are around 70g each on the AH. With a cost of 50 diligence coins, that is a really good deal as you can get closer to 3g per D coin selling other stuff. Not to mention if you make 10s per labor point you could by 10 labor recharges for 50 d-coins which would net you close to 1,000 gold provided you have the time to use that labor.
The fishing boat is not expensive to get. You get the design for free thru achievements. I got a free design while in my guilds fishing raid in 3hrs. Under the general tab of your achievements, look under vocation and go to fishing and the second one will give you the design.
Oh my God thank you. I thought about 30 seconds in "how long will the infomercial be" and finally cracked 1 minute in. I would have quit without this comment lol
Personally I've found growing my own mats and converting them into gilda trade packs and selling them at solis is good money. I always try and make the packs at least 4 maps away, also you can cheese it by putting your trade packs on a boat you or a friend owns to get to solis faster than simply driving there in a cart.
I actually have been doing this myself lately too. I had alts with a boat load of dili coins, so just bought a car for each. 3 Trips from Vill -> Solis or Solis-Vill with gilda packs. It's about 44g per pack and takes about 30'ish mins to do 3 runs. But I have to come up with 24 Gilda per day. Which also takes some time to maintain. It is a way to get through your daily labor fairly quickly when you're busy with other things. Thanks for posting.
Baobab trees are best if you have land and an alt with extra labor. Just buy the trees grow the fruit then vendor the fruit. You can make 40g per day in an arid zone per 16 farm. Prices never fluctuate 5s/l ratio with 0 prof 7s/l ratio with max prof. If you want best s/l ratio then get yourself 100k exploration a submarine and a tradeship then go out and raise sunken ships. You'll earn a good 35-40s/l
doing ayanad-library in a raid daily, gives around 60g and a good amount of exp within 1hr without any labor cost - else iam either on tradepack tour or grinding coin purses in western hiram mountain ^^

this is what i harp on everyone to go and do when i hear them say they dont have gold Question #1: Did you get your rowboat? BOOM You have your rod and boat. now go and make gold :P freshwater is super accessible. if you go to animar (probably spelled it wrong) in nuia, there is a "pink pufferfish" fish stand. the pufferfish are always available and pools dont despawn. however, they only give like 2-3g each. there is a chance to get a rare item for a special prize from it :P but ill let you discover that. Also, screw you for ruining fishing for me.
I've been doing a little bit of everything because that's how I love to play but defo gonna give fishing a chance and make some sweet cash at the side. Cheers mate!
Nice vid man, already started working on my fishing boat a few days ago, it really is the best silver per labor until pack values go back up and who knows when that's gonna happen
Packs will become good again in 1 month. Thats when proficiencies and ships will be up and common so less will run as many packs also alot will quit within the next month.
That blank canvas was from the Archepass early on, I was having space issues so I just chucked it up there. Still, I should decorate I'll put a UCC on by the next video. Thanks Yoruki
Just a quick thank you for the info and content. I like more in-depth videos that are longer and go into detail. Ignore any haters with a short attention span. :)
Dont forget to add in the trade fee of 10% if you are flipping/selling crafted items on the market. This decreases the silver:labor that you have to account for.
Great video, a few questions though. What are the benefits of having a fishing boat? And can a Merchant Schooner contain fish packs? If so, which ship is the better choice?
The fishing ship holds 7 fish, 2 gargs on the hooks, and 5 in the tanks. Fish while like a tradepack can't be put in to cargo storage, the only go in fishing tanks or hooks on the fishing boat. Fishing boat gets a North South movement speed buff, and has a vendor station comes with a free fish finder. I did a video about boats awhile back may be worth checking out. Be well!
So, i still play the Orginal Archeage, same same, So You can make tier 3 Aythieum stones, for upgrading costumes. if your alchemy is high enough, I can make 10 of them for around 750 gold, they sell for 180-220 gold depending on the AH. So 1800-2200 gold for 750 labor.
They are great for achievements as many have found. And they are pretty safe if people help each other. That said, it may be a good idea to set up a tidal bungalow and fish areas the raids won't go with a small group of 5 to 10 solid players. I have been exploring for good locations for just this scenario. Hope it helps.
Stopped at the 5:23 minute marker to explain why anyone would convert stone to brick for 1.2s/labor. AAU allows three accounts per player. Each account has a seperate labor pool. Many people say "I don't have time to run three accounts." But if you simply buy a stack of raw resources off the AH, convert them into stone brick, and then sell that stone brick, that means that account has earned you 34.56 gold. While this process will take some time without access to a complex processing bench, you don't need to actually be sitting at the computer as the time elapses. Actual player time involved in this process is about 3 minutes give or take a couple minutes. So someone who invests 50$ and 2-10 minutes a day will earn roughly 70 more gold daily than someone saying "I don't have time to run three accounts." Now there are more efficient ways to use your alts for sure. But this extra 70 gold a day processing resources is a great baseline to get started on alting no matter how much time you have on your hands.
The issue with super long guides, you finish it then have no idea how to start. Because a lot of unnecessary and irrelevant information is mentioned, it's very hard to search for the valuable ones now
I have done fishing pretty much from the start, it does give very consistent gold however I have found exploration to be a bit better. Between the Delphinad packs at 100+ gold each which I pull in at least 2 a day. selling the plates, saucers and masks on the AH at around 35G each it has raked in quite a bit. Then take in the designs you get either sell them on AH or build them yourself for relatively low labor and mats. Now it does take 50 labor to make the recovery pouches and another 25 to raise the chests but you are talking high end silver to labor ratio.
The other great thing about exploration is you'll be able to build a sub soon and raise sunken ships. Not sure how good those are but I know many people on Legacy that did that for a living. Glad you found something you enjoy.
I just look at the markets and craft whatever would net me the most gold per labour on that specific day. Normally I get about 18s per labour by checking the markets and my crafting folio.
Okay, I play in tyrenos and we have discovered an achievement that allows you to get a free fishing boat design. The requirements for this achievement are to catch 100 gargantuan fish, 100 mid size and 100 small fry. Yes this seems hard to do alone but if you are fishing with a raid every single fish that anyone in your raid catches counts toward your achievement progress (as long as you're nearby when they catch it) because of this we have 100 man fishing raids in tyrenos. Alot of fun ocean pvp for fish and pretty safe of your raid lead and general raid members are competent. Each hole lasts about 15 minutes since a full raid with full co raid usually fish out all the fish and we turn in together. Good luck enjoy and go make your gold! One piece style lol
Going from Legacy AriaTo Unchained Kaylin i really struggle with this because What i knew was not sure if would work but seems to be and for me getting my own property being able to grow things needed every day like rice potatoes cotton or meat for quests like duck or chicken using feathers to craft fabrics and keeping animals for meat and pelts leather other thing is to do packs for gold but quick ones done often these are what helps make gold so commodities
Great info. However, I do wonder what the gold/hour is like for fishing. It definitely looks amazing if you do not factor in the time component and only look at labor. But I wonder if you have say 2 hours then which method would net the highest amount of gold
Hereafter stone used to be deecent way. They go for cheap these days, trade packs if you invest some time in farming mats rather than buying. Blue salt bond are best one. Always make sure to have cedar tree on public farm and personal if you have spots. Ancestral coinpurses are probably easyest if you are 50+ lvl
Very nice video .Tyvm! Having to pvp on either defending or stealing fish is not a con! its a pro! Breaking news: you are making gold to gear up, you are gearing up to pvp ^^
@Marco Tienda im not talking about purpling here. i think that a good nation knows how to send thief to the pirate side. But i love to steal from "reds". Or defend my goods against reds.
In your brick example you forgot to add the 10% AH fee which you will pay almost always except if you trade it directly which only happens for specific items. So 2s/raw stone, brick sells on AH for 12s than: 12-(12*10%)-(3*2) = 4.8s 5 labor required so 4.8/5 = 0.96 s/l
Technically this is correct, but the example was just an example. To be through we could assume that person would just spam trade chat peddling his bricks to save on the AH fees.
If u had a fishing boat u cud carry in around 7 fish each run . So fishing boat is expensive but a good investment and ull make back the money in less than a week plus more
Edamame not sure if you knew him or not, went through a few guilds before Nakama. He's on Denistrious or was, but was West Side. Exe from Ayhausca is here to, those are the only 2 people from my old guilds that I can think of atm.
Hey and how do i track the achievement of 100 fish each? can i track how many fishing i caught or i just need to w8 till i get all done to know its done?
Not to knock the video as it's very informative and fishing is a good way to make money. But theres a few things you also have to consider (especially if ocean fishing). Pirates and reds can and will come after you looking for easy packs. Then theres the cost to actually fish. Bait and chum are not free and either require time and labor or money which cuts into profits of your labor to silver ratio. On top of that if you do lose a boat then thats a huge gold loss on profits.
if you ocean fishing solo you're doing it wrong imo and if you are in a fishing raid you don't have to pay for chum at all seeing as the raid leader would probably chum already. the barrier to entry can be annoying but when you get into sports fishing it's remarkably profitable. lures are 3g on my server and they last 2 hours and lets say you don't have a fishing boat, you can rent storage on someone's boat for 2g for the small and 4 g for the large you'll still net a large profit with all the money you spend per trip. i personally made 325+ gold today from fishing during my playtime and that's with me renting out storage on people's fishing boat and occasionally going back and forth on my clipper and that's nothing compare to the tryhards
It depends, generally speaking, if you plan on gearing up your main you should use that labor for tempers, and fusions. It takes a ton of labor to fully upgrade so focusing on that mainly makes the most sense. Then use your alt for making gold and sending it to the main. That is what I'm doing, but occasionally I'll go fish or open coin purses on my main.
Dawns drop can be upgraded with materials at a leatherworking bench, dewy, dazzling, radiant. Each type takes different mats you can find the list in the Folio hit (O) and type in dawnsdrop. Additionally, they can be regraded from basic to Eternal with Armor Regrade Scrolls however that only increases their Physical and Magic Defense stats, not the proficiency boost, which is the reason people use them.
Hey September, first of all nice vid, I'm a kinda new player of AA and I was puzzled about sunken ships and exploring, do you think it would be more worth than fishing, given I can make all the things I need for it? (I'm at 500 gilda and idk if I should buy schooner or tidal bungalow)
Sunken ships is something I have to brush up on, I don't know the S/L ratio and exactly all what is required to do. Though if you don't really want to be a fisherman I would bet it is a really good choice. for something else to do.
Hey aired can u pls do larceny video on 6.0 coz in my case i dont have a lot of time to play so atm larceny is my main money maker, would be great if u do tips n tricks :)
Only mat is a fishing lure which lasts 2 hours. So minus 3 gold over the duration of 2 hours. Can't really take the whole cost of your fishing pole off one session since you'll have that fishing pole forever.
I don't run a guild, however the guild I'm in is pretty low key, kinda do your own thing, ask for help if needed. Slime Institute on Deni server if you're interested. Still have a few spots open and rank 3.
Thanks for this vid! I've literally came back to archeage after all this time mostly for fishing. I remember having a blast going out to the ocean and taking the chance of dying for the catch. Never got a fishing boat because of the memory leaks back in the day but (hopefully) this is fixed now lol. Also nice wall tapestry thing in ur house whats that called?
Just make sure you have a solid computer, good GPU, Proc and preferably an SSD as main drive. A fast internet connection isn't the bees knees to make this game work well.
@@Aired im at 30k larceny so its 33 labor per purse and i put in at 1g 40s per purse as thats currently my lowest. Realistically i get closer to 5s per purse atm but i like to do math at lowest point.
Without watching: Best methods: Sport Fishing and killing enemy fishers (8s/Labor up to over 20/s Labor), Coinpurses on alt accounts (very simple and grinding is required anyway), Fertilizer packs (other commerce is useless now), Library bosses (50+g every 4 hours and no Labor required), buy low sell high (no labor required), niche products like beds, chests, gems, dawnsdrop gear, mounts, gliders, etc., exploration (high investment, mediocre gold - high risk) soon: Cooking/Alchemy/Handicraft (other crafting professions are useless due to Hiram) once there is demand (when people have money to spend money on pots and food and lunafrosts/lunadrops) 4:20 it is not even worth 6s because you have to pay 10% AH fee - he gets less than 1s per labor.
True, the lure for sure is a cost, it, however, will affect the s/l ratio differently from scenario to scenario. If you save all your labor for the day and freshwater fish you will only need 1 lure, if you are consistently fishing off and on at random times it will cost you more. The chum is required for one person to use not everybody, therefore the cost is somewhat optional as many people will group up, or just wait till somebody else chums it. Personally, I have probably chummed 1 out of 10 holes I've fished, others who go solo may chum most of them, just depends.
@@Aired do you really need the sub? Since the areas where the chests/ships appear are constant you can use the potion plus a set of fins for example and/or an oxgen tank that can be mounted on the clipper too AFAIK
Looks like a Manican they are in major cities but many other towns have them as well. You can open your map and under "Infrastructure" There is an icon you can toggle on and off to find them. Leather Armor Form is there and is different than a leather workbench. You'll find it!
If too many people sport fish, it would create a problem in the economy of inflation, as it would generate raw currency without any added raw resource, intermediaries, or end products. That said, it's an tragedy of the commons issue, because you would indeed benefit greatly if very little people do it.
I make like 100g a day for 0 labour. Pretty sure thats a better silver/labour ratio than fishing :p And to top it off, no material investment. Only takes time. 1-2 hours.
All due respect, Aired, you mentioned very little about sport fishing, there is more about it, I'm assuming you will find it along the way, speak to fishing master Mogow, if you're on EU Alexander :D
Original video was over 45 mins. UA-cam likes vides to be 10 mins lol. I do my best to get as much info in as I can, but as you see I have a hard time getting it all in there.
You're asking about Sports Fishing in the Ocean. Fishing at Lakes while paying less is 100% safe and those numbers are still close to 10s/l just starting out, better at max. I should have been a tad more clear, certain aspects are safe. Most people converge on the one that makes the most money per labor which is Ocean Fishing, and the reason it makes more than Lake Fishing is specifically because it isn't safe. Just like tradepacks pay more if you deliver them to warzones. For sanity sake, I stopped Sports Fishing in the Ocean as soon as I finished my Achievement and I haven't bothered with it since.
I was thinking I'd have to go find another guide for the actual process of fishing, but you covered that too, right down to showing your exact keybinds. How refreshingly thorough.
Make. Vide9 of tutorials to this
Awesome video! Thx!!!!
thank you Aired!
Well all the things you listed have a low S/L rate.
I think = Skyfish in Rookborne Basin...
(September good to see u :D )
Very nice video .Tyvm! Having to pvp on either defending or stealing fish is not a con! its a pro! Breaking news: you are making gold to gear up, you are gearing up to pvp ^^
Some people do Archeage just for playing the market and pve but you do you ;)
@@saphiran31 i know you are right, but still, keeping the sandbox alive is very rewarding imo.
@@dex5637 well, you right also!
So 2s/raw stone, brick sells on AH for 12s than:
12-(12*10%)-(3*2) = 4.8s
5 labor required so 4.8/5 = 0.96 s/l
Technically this is correct, but the example was just an example. To be through we could assume that person would just spam trade chat peddling his bricks to save on the AH fees.
Hi how do you have that yellow circle around your mouse arrow? It would really be helpful for me.
It is a feature from the recording software I use, Screencast-O-Matic
so fish in fresh water have different gold/labor too. i see you get 5-7 gold while in ahnimar lowest is about 2.90 gold
great video, thanks
Hey, I thought I had seen you around, I'm also running around in Deni East. Name's roosterraven, see ya around lol.
If u had a fishing boat u cud carry in around 7 fish each run . So fishing boat is expensive but a good investment and ull make back the money in less than a week plus more
ERP best gold making
I miss you man!! I was a guildmate of yours on Nakamas in vanilla AA. Have you had ran across anyone else from the guild, in unchained?
Edamame not sure if you knew him or not, went through a few guilds before Nakama. He's on Denistrious or was, but was West Side. Exe from Ayhausca is here to, those are the only 2 people from my old guilds that I can think of atm.
Hey and how do i track the achievement of 100 fish each? can i track how many fishing i caught or i just need to w8 till i get all done to know its done?
Thanks my dude.
Very awesome thanks.
Thank you bud!
On top of that if you do lose a boat then thats a huge gold loss on profits.
if you ocean fishing solo you're doing it wrong imo and if you are in a fishing raid you don't have to pay for chum at all seeing as the raid leader would probably chum already. the barrier to entry can be annoying but when you get into sports fishing it's remarkably profitable. lures are 3g on my server and they last 2 hours
and lets say you don't have a fishing boat, you can rent storage on someone's boat for 2g for the small and 4 g for the large you'll still net a large profit with all the money you spend per trip. i personally made 325+ gold today from fishing during my playtime and that's with me renting out storage on people's fishing boat and occasionally going back and forth on my clipper and that's nothing compare to the tryhards
so is this a mmo or a fishing sim then?
giv us some different options
@Aired look at the achievements tab in vocation, you get a free fish-find longliner design from there =)
Indeed nice to see that as a reward for sure. Still I wonder if most will struggle with those construction mats still?
Hey sepetember nice video . Right now i am having 2 accounts 1 main and 1 alt , so which account would u suggest me to level fishing on
It depends, generally speaking, if you plan on gearing up your main you should use that labor for tempers, and fusions. It takes a ton of labor to fully upgrade so focusing on that mainly makes the most sense. Then use your alt for making gold and sending it to the main. That is what I'm doing, but occasionally I'll go fish or open coin purses on my main.
@@Aired thanks for the reply
How do you upgrade the dawnsdrop gear?
Dawns drop can be upgraded with materials at a leatherworking bench, dewy, dazzling, radiant. Each type takes different mats you can find the list in the Folio hit (O) and type in dawnsdrop. Additionally, they can be regraded from basic to Eternal with Armor Regrade Scrolls however that only increases their Physical and Magic Defense stats, not the proficiency boost, which is the reason people use them.
Im on runert server.
For me i make about 150g a day from purses and trade packing. Takes like 6 hrs a day and requires 1 alt and reasonable gear
Wow that's horrible
@@taserrr yeah its pretty bad early on. once my gear goes up and my proficiency get higher things will be easier and make more per day
better then me. i max bound tax certs for a 5k labor loss and no coin
Though if you don't really want to be a fisherman I would bet it is a really good choice. for something else to do.
how u hilghting ur cursor? thx in advance :)
Screencast O Matic feature
Hey aired can u pls do larceny video on 6.0 coz in my case i dont have a lot of time to play so atm larceny is my main money maker, would be great if u do tips n tricks :)
Kill things?
only downside is the time Investment. finding the spot, driving all the way for one fish and when you fish 4-5 fishes you Need a new bait
great video
Great video
Would this be best on an alt account and only leveling to 30 then doing the fishing quests to get supplies and then fish.
I have an alt account that only fishes yes, on that account I just do freshwater.
You stated pure profit or you calculated in the cost of mats too ?
Only mat is a fishing lure which lasts 2 hours. So minus 3 gold over the duration of 2 hours. Can't really take the whole cost of your fishing pole off one session since you'll have that fishing pole forever.
Thank you!
Excellent video Sir. Do you run a guild by any chance. I am old school aa player whos looking for a mature guild
A fast internet connection isn't the bees knees to make this game work well.
as far as I could tell no more memory leaks
@@tofo7151 Yay! Yeah so far everything seems pretty smooth; graphics wise.
With my current prof on average with ancestral purses i make 4s 35c per purse
My math shows at the max level they are around 8s per labor point. So 4-5s sounds about right at this stage of the game.
@@Aired im at 30k larceny so its 33 labor per purse and i put in at 1g 40s per purse as thats currently my lowest. Realistically i get closer to 5s per purse atm but i like to do math at lowest point.
speciality land runs ??
Without watching:
Best methods: Sport Fishing and killing enemy fishers (8s/Labor up to over 20/s Labor), Coinpurses on alt accounts (very simple and grinding is required anyway), Fertilizer packs (other commerce is useless now), Library bosses (50+g every 4 hours and no Labor required), buy low sell high (no labor required), niche products like beds, chests, gems, dawnsdrop gear, mounts, gliders, etc., exploration (high investment, mediocre gold - high risk)
soon: Cooking/Alchemy/Handicraft (other crafting professions are useless due to Hiram) once there is demand (when people have money to spend money on pots and food and lunafrosts/lunadrops)
4:20 it is not even worth 6s because you have to pay 10% AH fee - he gets less than 1s per labor.
best video for unchained
You're not figuring the cost of the lure and the chum into the silver/labor ration.
Nice video, how about sunken chests/ships?
I think that is one to check on, but it does require some setup cost mostly in the sub.
@@Aired do you really need the sub? Since the areas where the chests/ships appear are constant you can use the potion plus a set of fins for example and/or an oxgen tank that can be mounted on the clipper too AFAIK
Holy crap are you September from Inoch/Hanure? Used to be in guild with you.
Yep, same person.
Yoooo where's ayahuasca at
where do i find the leather armor form workbench?
Looks like a Manican they are in major cities but many other towns have them as well. You can open your map and under "Infrastructure" There is an icon you can toggle on and off to find them. Leather Armor Form is there and is different than a leather workbench. You'll find it!

Why don't you have your graphics on high?
can you do a video on ancestral crates?
Ya I will look at larceny probably next video, not much to report here, but may help people none-the-less
If too many people sport fish, it would create a problem in the economy of inflation, as it would generate raw currency without any added raw resource, intermediaries, or end products.
That said, it's an tragedy of the commons issue, because you would indeed benefit greatly if very little people do it.
thanks bro :)
I make like 100g a day for 0 labour. Pretty sure thats a better silver/labour ratio than fishing :p
And to top it off, no material investment. Only takes time. 1-2 hours.
How are you making 100g in 1-2 hours? I would love to know :)
Me too
Probably farming Luscas.
Ty so much
Pimping myself out seems to be profitable for gold in game
All due respect, Aired, you mentioned very little about sport fishing, there is more about it, I'm assuming you will find it along the way, speak to fishing master Mogow, if you're on EU Alexander :D
Original video was over 45 mins. UA-cam likes vides to be 10 mins lol. I do my best to get as much info in as I can, but as you see I have a hard time getting it all in there.
How is fishing safe? every time my friends would go fishing they would get attacked by someone and lose their fish.
