I bought the extended reach ratchet a few years back. It was on rollback for $49.88 and as a Walmart employee, I got the additional 10% employee discount. It's a nice unit.
@@ThriftyToolShedlooking forward watching your review could you also review it with the 4ah battery I’ve heard it hits harder and it’s overall better thanks.
I've have a good amount of milwaukee's. But for a nut runner, this should work and I'm tired of worrying about someone stealing my tools. This should go well with my Harbor freight stuff.
Thought about getting a HT 12v ratchet set but ended up buying a generic bare tool Ali ratchet (25$) because I already those style 12v batteries. Plus you can get those build cases for under $2. I imagine it's similar performance to the HT, looks very similar anyway. The drawback is 1 speed trigger, I can probably mod that tho
I came across one of these clearance marked down to $20. Never used. It's a really nice unit, nicer than my other one. Hopefully I will stumble across the long neck too. Kicking myself for not grabbing the 12v HT dremel that was there for $20 as well
I will share a video on the 2.8Ah most likely. I used Molicel 2800mAh 35A cells and rebuilt it for testing a higher output and still a compact pack. The 4Ah pack will work, but it simply makes the ratchet much less compact.
I wonder how similar it is as well. They do look close. If I remember correctly Hyper tough did out perform the KIMO on Torque Test Channel and is also more expensive.
This should be a wake up call to all milwaukee owners including me. They are severly overpriced. I believe milwaukee makes their tools in China. They shouldn't be that expensive. Good tools dont get me wrong but the competition is not that far behind for a fraction of the price.
It really does seem to be made well and many people and mechanics I know now have these and use them with no issues. I am surprised for the price for sure. It is great around the home for sure.
I got the shorty and honestly after getting it I use it so much at work as an auto tech I plan to get the milwaukee fuel high speeds. But I'll probably pick up the extended hypertough because the shorty is just so great.
@dbusby77 I love when strange hybrid swaps, like that, are found. do you know the Item # of the donor air ratchet? I want to search around, try to find the anvil individually or in a parts kit.
@@Iowa599 it’s the Central Pneumatic 1/4” Stubby Air Ratchet item# 91002. You might want to take 1 or 2 1/4” sockets in HF with you and test the ball detents on each and purchase the one that has the strongest holding power. 🙂
Hyper Tough does have a 1/4 inch ratchet. It is a 4 volt built in battery. I have one and use it around the shop quite often. Handy for smaller jobs, as long as you don't ask too much from it. It seems to work well for what I do.
Easily the most in depth comparison I’ve ever seen in my life. Beautiful sir
Great review, love the split screen, nice editing.
Thanks so much for your kind comment!

I've been using mine 1.5 yrs now. I even bought the lil brushless impact they got too. And it's a lil beast at 1/5th of the price of a Milwaukee 🤷♂️
I hope to have the video up this weekend on the little brushless impact. It really is amazing for the price.

Excellent video, great detail and fair comparison!
Thanks for your kind comment!
the o'reilly brand battery's for their store brand 12v tools are the exact same battery
I still have my next tech and they still work. I've since bought more powerful equipment
Nice video!! I have the same ratchet!! I love mine!! It does everything I ask it to!! I enjoy working on my car's!!

would've been interesting to see what torque you got out of the hyper tough with your upgraded Molicel 18650 battery.

Very Nicely Shown!
Great video very impressed with the tests done

How was the custom 2.8 battery made? Would the 4Ah battery work in the ratchet, or is it just for the impact? Thanks!

I have one of these hyper tough ratchets and you can't complain for the money.😅
I wonder if the Hypertough is the same as the KIMO ones on Amazon.

I saw a video on it and it's not as good as the hyper tough@@ThriftyToolShed
I use it and beats using a manual ratchet for removing panels. Most people think they’re impacts lol 😂
What about harbor freight extended version
I have not tried it myself, but some of the Hercules stuff is pretty good for the price.
@@ThriftyToolShed I know you can modified it to work with DEWALT 12v battery or generic amazon 12v battery
Good review. Subscribed
I sure hate the variety of electrically equivalent batteries inside different plastic shells.
And by the way the green machine products that he was talking about. They are top-notch they are pretty much equal to ego if not a tad better.

I've purchased one it broke right after I used it straight out of box.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
How?? This thing seems like a rugged thick boy

Budget friendly tools but an expensive fluke meter. Lol 😆 nice tool test
If that was 1/4" drive I'd have one.
I swapped a 1/4” drive anvil from a Harbor Frieght pneumatic ratchet (~$15) and it’s worked great.
