Finally, there is the "Mako", a deep space "Broadcast News Van". It has Image Enhancement Suite (telescopic cameras (?)) that will be able to broadcast news wherever it happens in the Empire. This I feel, is one of the most exciting ships in the game because it gives us a hint into a future skill class. Imagine being a "Journalist" and appearing on video monitors throughout the Empire with hard-hitting news stories. This is probably the most "unique" career path in this game or any other game out there.
I love the Reliant Tana. I bought one for my wife when she got interested a few years ago. Cheapest 2-seater with 2 beds in the game. The "downside" is that the extra living space reduces the cargo space, so no vehicles. It might fit a Ranger when they're out. For loading vehicles onto ships, I always preferred to land my ship at The Commons and use the garage there.
The Reliant series is the Forgotten and overlooked series of ships. With it being the smallest Multi crew ship in the Verse, amazing views and all-around abilities to do a bit of everything very well the Kore or Tana are the best choice if you need a great all-around ship. I'm so glad you're enjoying the reliants so much Olli. The Tana is very deadly in the right hands and imo the Reliant models are one of the most underrated.
The Reliant Tana is my favorite fighter in the game. It is just so much fun to fly. The Khartu Al is probably second just because it sounds awesome. But the Reliant is a strong little ship. Not the most popular but it definitely has a sort of cult following.
I love the Reliant series. I think it needs to be modular eventually rather than separate variants. It absolutely needs its gold standard pass to improve issues with the thrusters and to extend the stabilizing flaps in the horizontal configuration for better atmospheric flight.
Really love this ship, in fact, I have buy this one (reliant) and the Tana, the Reliant you can get an Graycat inside, nothing more big than that, and is a nice starter ship, the Tana is a military (or militia) ship, have more firepower and have beds that give you the possibility of logout from the ship on any place, is a ship ideal for starting pirates, mercenaries and bonty hunters.
My favorite loadout is the 2x2 laser repeaters, then gimbal the other two slots and put size1 ballistic repeaters in there for some nice punch but keep the combat batteries for the 2x2's. This way, everything is gimballed and will hit the same spot together.
The Reliant is a ship series that is extremely reliable and unique. Its unique shape and form, its dual cockpit, its cargo bay for carrying phyiscal items. It is an amazing ship and I use it as a step up from my starter ship.
The Reliant Kore isn't a bad ship the question is "Is it $10 better than a Titan?" and it's not... not really $0 dollars better except for uniqueness. It's kind of like the Nomad not a bad a ship just positioned so close to one one of the go to classic value kings. In the case of the Kora people save the $10 and get a Titan and in the case of the Nomad people spend the $20 and get a Cutty. Even between the Kore and the Nomad I would probably spend the 15 bucks to get 4x the storage, the ability to ROC mine, nicer internals with food and bathroom, and not needing to worry about my wing getting shot off.

I bought the Reliant Tana variant as my first upgrade from the Aurora MR instead of the usual Aegis Avenger Titan, btw, the Tana variant is the one thats more armed, and more of a combat variant, it has 2 beds, a gunrack, and some extra interior storage, it also has space for 26, I think size 2 or 3 missiles, one of those anyway, I had on mine 26 size 2s, and in the integrated racks I had 8 Tempest II missiles, although I dont remember their size, you could take down a ship with 2-3 of them, so not bad, I honestly love the ship, and I think its a great pick over the Avenger Titan for your first upgrade :)
I love the Kore. The only true difference between the Kore and Tana is the interior cargo space and the missiles. The wing turrets can be replaced on the Tana with those found on the Kore. It's decent at PvE bounties. Great for delivery and getting around. It's a fun ship to fly. Get a copilot and those Kore wing turrets can flip 360* which can make for some fun and interesting attack angles and maneuvers. There are 2 other models, one with cameras on the wings and another as a science ship. neither have a lot of use right now though.
I love the Reliant series, I have both a KORE, TANA, and SEN :P However, they're not currently fulfilling the gameplay fantasy they were supposed to so can't wait for gold pass to bring it up to spec again.
Reliant Kore is easily my favorite ship to fly. it was my first ship after my aurora and I was so happy about it for running bunkers back when you had to destroy the turrets
Love the look of the Reliant series, I've been sorely tempted to get the Tana as I'm more combat focused but it shows the utility potential of these vessels. I wonder if a bike or quad would have offered a better fit with more room for cargo? Admittedly I've little to no experience with ground vehicles.
I rented it on a free fly week and it was the first ship I got to try. It was such a unique experience! Did some basic cargo missions with it but the FOV was massive so it was really immersive to go around moons of crusader. I dont think I would buy it because it is unnecessarily huge but still, very cool ship.
Be sure to put the toshima turrets on. It’ll get rid of the S3 weapons but it’ll give you 2 S2 weapons per wing tip. Do that while taking the pucks off the wings and you get 6 Size 2 weapons! “Now that’s a lot of daamagee!” Seriously, I think only the Drake Buccaneer slightly beats the Tana with DPS. It’s one of the highest DPS light fighters out there. Unfortunately, it is made out of paper. Lol. Great little starter ship for people who wanna dip their toe into bounty hunting.
Kore is my starter ship, and seems a good choice so far. Decent weapons, cargo space, can't go wrong. Reliant actually has more armor than most, if not all, the starters, and more than most of the light fighters. Reliant - 15260, Avenger Titan - 11900, Sabre - 12540, Gladius - 9969, Mantis - 11450, Hawk - 12200, for comparison Freelancer MAX and MIS 19200, and STD Freelancer 30200, Cutlass Black - 32120, F7C Hornet - 22380 (just bought F7C in game). It's not terribly under-armored, wish it had a 3rd shield slot. If you bought one from the website, they give you a Nomad with it till it's bugs are fixed. Don't land the Nomad in a windy place. I had to chase it for 2km, where it finally tumbled over a bluff out of the wind. I dislike the Nomad.
The Reliant More is one of my main go to ships. Upgrade the weapons and shields and it's a decent fighter too. Now I have to get a greycat lol. Fun vid Olli43
I was honestly a little upset that the wings rotate, when I first saw it i thought it looked a bit like a B-29 Bomber, which is a plane I'm absolutely in love with.
Love my Reliant Kore, one of my favorite ships, however, I wish it had a bed, maybe a crop down cot in the cargo bay. Something we can use to log out in.
Tana is great. Epic for bounties up to VHRT with tosh turrets, suckerpunches and cannons, and because it's a cheap light fighter, the claim time is 50secs. That's not even expedited. Great purchase for 800k aUEC
I use a Kore for light cargo and ‘admin’ runs and it has a fast claim time and is pretty well armed. The Tana is better armed, but if you bed log from it, when you relog you’ll find your ship in flight mode (not landing mode) with zero access to your cockpit.
I love the reliants, take the turrets off the Kore and slap them on the Tana, ditch the gimbals and you have 6 size 2's and plenty of missiles, and it's fun.
Gotta admit the Kore is one of my solo investigation or package runners. It’s small, cheap to fuel, has decent QT distance for its size and pretty good for planet diving to ditch larger ships in atmo.
Drop the launchers to size 1's, so you double up the loadout.... drop all the guns/gimbles to 6x size 2 cannons or go beast with 6x Balistics, that chews ships to bits but hs about 9 seconds of pew pew.
Technically, the ship is VTOL regardless of its wing configuration. With wings horizontal you press up and it goes up. VTOL means Vertical-Take-Off-and-Landing. You took off vertically.
The Reliant really looks like fun and the rotating mechanic is a nice gimmick, but if you're looking for a starter that can carry vehicles up to the size of a ROC I believe the CO Nomad is the cheapest option.
Kore was my first upgrade. Love the uniqueness. But the 6 SCU was not enough to make it worth much, so having a ship with a bed seemed a better idea. So I upgraded to the tana, which has same ability to put those 4x s2 guns on the wings, but also gets 16x s2 missiles added to it. Bed and kitchen just add to its abilities that unfortunately the Kore is the only one that does not. The reliants have Xian engines like the Karthual thing. But for some reason CIG did not allow them to gimbal and only turn down for vtol. So vertical or horizontal has no effect on flying. I wish they would make them gimbal in a full hemisphere when in vertical mode, and then just thrust vector like an F-22 when in horizontal mode. So you have atmo mode and space mode.
@@SwedishLatino all reliants have the 4 under wing missiles. I said the Tana gets 16 added to it. But yes that does equal the total of 20. If you are running ballistic it makes sense to fix s2 under the wings of the reliants, but if you are running laser, keep the gimabls so all weapons are gimbaled. You do not gain enough DPS by fixing those 2 underwing weapons as s2. Keep them s1 gimbaled and then the tana can offset its slight maneuver disadvantage compared to other light fighters.
@@Power5 6s2 do more damage than 2s3+2s2 though. Honestly it's always better to go fixed imo for that extra damage boost which can give the edge. 6s2 cannons are very much deadly 😎
Honestly this vid has made me change my mind, i've been running around in an Avenger Titan for the last week or so, only had the game for that long, was gonna upgrade my package to that BUT the Kore looks so fun, and the fact that i can have a friend as the gunner as well as it being decent when i'm on my own, it's worth the extra few quid i think....looks like i'm upgrading to this next wipe
*If I remember correctly, this Christmas helmet is extremely rare.* The ship actually looks pretty sick! But what do you mean you wish all ships had more variants? Almost ALL of them do! And what do you mean by "tricks with elevators"? I am pretty sure they are fully physicalized spaces that move you around, which is why they are so buggy sometimes.
the vtol is nice the horcizontal is really handy on atmosphere and the other position is for space. Olli43: ''It 's really tight." Me: Have you tried in the avenger titan ? It fits but it's more tight than that.
You said in the video that you looked on line to see how long till sun set. Does is show every planet and what is the website to find that information?
It is based on an alien design. The race it is inspired by (in lore) is the Xian who build their cities much like how Arc Corp is but with taller more densely packed buildings. Its design makes navigating between the building easier.
some guy in a live stream made a joke "well first they have put forests in the game", when Jared and Chris keep using the example of "you can put a coffee cup in a forest on a planet" when referring to the dev of persistence in the game. Me and another dude pointed out that their are indeed forests. they are not super dense rainforests or anything.

So cool! Just wish ships were animated a little more slow and deliberate. Looks a bit goofy how fast some stuff moves. By the way what happens when you leave the seat while in vertical mode? 🤔

If you have a copilot using the turrets they can lock and fire your 20 s2 missiles in any direction, yes even behind you.
I love the Reliant series, I have both a KORE, TANA, and SEN :P
However, they're not currently fulfilling the gameplay fantasy they were supposed to so can't wait for gold pass to bring it up to spec again.
Reliant Kore is easily my favorite ship to fly. it was my first ship after my aurora and I was so happy about it for running bunkers back when you had to destroy the turrets
Great video! One of my favorites combos is to fly around in my MSR carrying my Tumbril Land Rover has a nice carrying capacity too
Love the look of the Reliant series, I've been sorely tempted to get the Tana as I'm more combat focused but it shows the utility potential of these vessels.
I prefer 4 S2 and 2 S1 but all gimballed. Only a bit less damage for a full gimballed loadout.
Love the vid! I do hope to see more ultrawide content though! =)
28:57 "sometimes my genius it generates gravity"
Hahahaha the “editor’s notes” 😂
The Reliant More is one of my main go to ships. Upgrade the weapons and shields and it's a decent fighter too. Now I have to get a greycat lol. Fun vid Olli43
I was honestly a little upset that the wings rotate, when I first saw it i thought it looked a bit like a B-29 Bomber, which is a plane I'm absolutely in love with.
You can keep it in its horizontal position! It's not purely for vtol unless they've changed it for 3.18 go live out your B-29 dreams!
I have the Tana. Its my frist ship (besides the cheap starter one) that I bought and i love it!
This is so frustrating I swear 😂. Also don't like the fact that you can only walk in the interior if the landing gear is down 😞
I love the reliants, take the turrets off the Kore and slap them on the Tana, ditch the gimbals and you have 6 size 2's and plenty of missiles, and it's fun.
I got excited for a second and thought some was about to put a nox in the tana
Gotta admit the Kore is one of my solo investigation or package runners. It’s small, cheap to fuel, has decent QT distance for its size and pretty good for planet diving to ditch larger ships in atmo.
Drop the launchers to size 1's, so you double up the loadout.... drop all the guns/gimbles to 6x size 2 cannons or go beast with 6x Balistics, that chews ships to bits but hs about 9 seconds of pew pew.
That red thingy on your self status screen is the gimbal hard points pointing to what you have targeted
It’s basically a B wing with the cop it in th middle hahaha
First vehicles i bought was a titan and the greycat purely down to because the greycat can fit inside the titan and still take them out a year later
The quad bike would fit nice in there.
Love how Olli43 is trying to keep Tobii Eye Tracker as a secret 😂 like nobody else knows about it 😜
Kore was my first upgrade.
Tana has 20 missiles. Changing to Toshima turret gives you 6s2 guns, instead of stocked 2s3+2s2.
Honestly this vid has made me change my mind, i've been running around in an Avenger Titan for the last week or so, only had the game for that long, was gonna upgrade my package to that BUT the Kore looks so fun, and the fact that i can have a friend as the gunner as well as it being decent when i'm on my own, it's worth the extra few quid i think....looks like i'm upgrading to this next wipe
that jedi floor stare ship swap tho
You should definitely try driving out with the buggy from the tana. That would be so good lol
The engine and quantum drives sound amazing
*If I remember correctly, this Christmas helmet is extremely rare.*
The ship actually looks pretty sick!
Olli43: ''It 's really tight."
Me: Have you tried in the avenger titan ? It fits but it's more tight than that.
You can also fit the Gray Cat PTV inside an Avenger Titan (incase you want a smaller profile).
You said in the video that you looked on line to see how long till sun set. Does is show every planet and what is the website to find that information?
Good job Thinking Out of the Box literally
The tana and core are pretty neat ships
What is the purpose of rotating the wings vertical ? Does it change anything but the look 👀?
It is based on an alien design. The race it is inspired by (in lore) is the Xian who build their cities much like how Arc Corp is but with taller more densely packed buildings. Its design makes navigating between the building easier.
Now we need the sequel to see if a Mule will fit.
Starting to think Ollie really likes this game
Totally looks like a face from the back in VTOL. You can make it speak by opening and closing the cargo bay LOL
U can place boxes holding left click , I learned this today .
some guy in a live stream made a joke "well first they have put forests in the game", when Jared and Chris keep using the example of "you can put a coffee cup in a forest on a planet" when referring to the dev of persistence in the game. Me and another dude pointed out that their are indeed forests. they are not super dense rainforests or anything.
What about the Ultrawide resolution?
I love the ship. But it always wants to flip forward do to the weight balance when landing.
hey Ollie, just want to say that i love your Star citizen videos, hope you'll keep making them. but i had a question: if the creators of Star citizen decided to make the Thunderbird rockets from the series "thunderbirds are go", would you make a review on them?
I have the Sen. it has really good sensors and is great for scouting quant rocks.
now we need a hover bike that can carry 1 SCU
They need a remote key fob for your vehicles to start and open-close doors and they also need night vision googles or scopes.
Similarly to you, I absolutely love all the mechanics and anything like this ship is just absolutely why I love this game - saying that, it’s a bit too ugly for my daily run around. Definitely going to add one to my collection (with in game currency!).
A Kore is my daily driver for most things. No complaints so far.
Love your positive energy.
Hey Ollie, I was wondering if you could make a video on the most fun missions you personally partake in, what they entail, and what section to look in for them (sector of space and mission category). Being a new player who has never really gotten past the initial set of missions in the reputation system mainly due to in-game complications, I’d like to know what to focus my time on leveling up for a more enjoyable experience so I can hook my friends like this game has hooked me lol. And everyone only posts missions that make good credits. Idc about $ I just want to game to be a cool experience. Would help new players decide what they’d like to work on so they can eventually get some of those cool missions I see you UA-camrs doing and open up the career paths for us noobs.
Hello olli, loving your content
was wondering how your game runs so well
I have a pretty high end pc but but my game constantly crashes and lags
any recommendations
I really like the tana it also is relatively cheap ingame and for what it is you get a lot of firepower downside is that you are a big target for a light fighter and your hallo seems to be made out of paper
I could've sworn you made a video on this ship already
Great video. Might have to trade my Tana in for a Kore now that I see it is possible to carry a vehicle. That's way cool.
I think that the reliant tana is the best reliant ship because it has a bunch of size 2 missiles.
does the NOX fit ?
its should have more versatility then a gray cat
I lovedddddd my Reliant Tana, I lost it in the wipe and went for a different ship for variety and now I WANT IT BACK
Bro what setup do you have on your computer ? Wich gpu and cpu ?
I was todays years old when I learned you could put a small buggy in the back of one of those lol 😂
I wish you had control over who controls the turrets when a copilot sits in there with you
man, you have the best loot, the last time i hit a reclaimer wreck, i found Exactly ONE box, yellow at least, but it had crap loot X_X
Reminds me of the earth military starfighters from lost in space movie.
If I'm being honest then NO, I don't think you should get a kick back for advertising a product you both play and enjoy voluntarily. As for the videos? Keep up the good work.
Can you do some missions with the cutlass red?
So cool! Just wish ships were animated a little more slow and deliberate. Looks a bit goofy how fast some stuff moves.
By the way what happens when you leave the seat while in vertical mode? 🤔
What's the armour you're wearing here Ollie? I like it
The Problem with the Reliant, is that a single missile hit will usually disable your entire ship.
How have you never heard of this game??? It's been in game for ever
