They also just announced the Polaris is confirmed to arrive during this years IAE. Can't wait... my precious.
Very Exciting!
can't wait for mine!
Wait really, can't wait. I was thinking it would be like the BMM and get half done then put in the back burner.
@@Boss-Possum No you didn't think that. LOL. CIG is focusing on completing all RSI ships. The Apollo, Perseus, Galaxy, Arrastra and Orion will wrap up the list alongside the rest of the fleet being gold standard for engineering gameplay. Hoping for MISC next, but it'll probably be Aegis, since that's a smaller list with the Vulcan, Idris, Javelin and Nautilus
@@hollywoodguy70 I've had a Polaris for awhile and I'm excited for when it does come. I have just come back from taking a break from the game. The last time I followed any development news was around IAE last year. I just downloaded 3.23 to give it a go. 👍
@@hollywoodguy70u can read minds?

that’s what she said

they have been killing it lately with all the new stuff. Everyone talked down so much on SC, but man...they have done so much awesome stuff on 3.23
Good stuff brother, keep pumping out the awesome vids!
I bet 100% if the game gets so good that the people calling it scam laughing at people speeding money on it and start enjoying it...this game would never exist if it was not for all that support from us
@@mrthomas2847 It's already too late. People who have spent insane amounts of money on this game have been scammed already. Only if you are an early adopter and haven't fallen for stupid sales like the one in this video will you get something close to a normal AAA release at a 60 to 80 USD pricepoint.
Yeah now that the Squadron team are on it, people will be shocked at the speed they can achieve when they have a single focus.
I have had this with LTI for a couple years just waiting for it. And I am so pleased with how the exterior looks. Better than I thought and I had high expectations. She's beautiful so far
When the Polaris releases “where’s the elevator directly to the cockpit!”
Classic star citizen ❤😂
It does appear there's a crew elevator on the right side in front of the front landing gear. Soo, there may be one that gets pretty close to that, funny enough.
Olli- if it wasn't mentioned in here, Invictus is a military "show" so the ships present are only those the military typically uses.
then why is their a cargo ship in the rsi part of the show
@user-tn5hh5eo2n RSI is a big part of the UEE with their Bengal carrier and Scorpius fighters, and the Constellation series is also used in some small operations and the Phoenix specifically by admirals or other high ranking officials. The military does need to move things, refuel things, etc - that's why non fighting ships are included at the show.
Me: *patiently waiting for the Banu Merchantman* 😭😭
Same friend same ❤
Polaris will join bmm soon, they ‘announced’ this with clear intention to sell it at ilw…
Im personally more excited for the Kraken. I'll probably just use my BBM to upgrade to something else.
Will NEVER Happen until maybe next decade so 2030.
Ur not alone been waiting for years
Can’t wait for Ollie to get his javelin ❤😂
Yes I have one and can't wait to see it in my hanger ! Great video, Thanks
6:28 bro i had star citizen in the background downloading and the music from the launcher was doing its build up as he walked up the stairs. theatric perfection
Area18 is my favorite location. It's a clean city, unlike Loreville, and I like that. Can't wait for persistent hangars. Got the Polaris, I couldn't resist.
How much are they if I may ask?!?
@@TheGhostryder88 $750. But if you have another ship you no longer interested in you can upgrade it to the Polaris. I upgraded from the SRV, so at the end the Polaris cost me $485
Where did you buy it??
@@lythen77 the rsi website like everyone else lol
Oh how patiently I have been waiting for this... if they finish the Orion afterwards I'll be the happiest man imaginable. Too see how good the Polaris looks in game makes me so exited to see what the Orion will be like. Finally seeing my two favorite ships that I am lucky enough to own is a dream I never thought would come true in this game xD
Also, at 11:45, that Hangar is humongous compared to the carracks. If I remember correctly it is 2 times wider and about 2,5 times longer. And it is 2 floors high! Absolutely the coolest thing abt the ship apart from the Bridge and Torps.
I've been sitting on my Polaris for years.. So excited ☺️
First guy that properly filmed that beast, thx
16:05 they don't have all the variance in Invitus because it's only military ships and the only aurora used by the navy is the LN.
@Olli43 I've got a Polaris myself too and getting to walk under it for the first time was breathtaking.
Love your accent bro. Sub!
I got the Polaris last Invictus Week. I went and seen it when the hall opened today. One of the first in the hall. Drooled the whole time running into everything looking at it. Can't wait to load her up and see how she handles. Great Watch!!! See you in the Verse. (Stiky)
i just picked it up too! cant believe i did it but why the eff not! i have the cash and the want was heavy!! when it comes out we should have a polaris joust!! :P
Is the Polaris bigger than the 890 ??
@@The_HOrizon19 its shorter yet weighs 4 times the 890 does! its for battle not for looking cool! lol
still here and love watching your videos. Star citizens is a game that seems so fun to play.
Had a Polaris since it first came out and can't wait to fly it I'm so excited for it
I am truly one of the first Polaris captains. First day of first ever concept sale with LTI.
Ive given a lot of thought to how to use one. The key is choosing your battles. We are fast and hit hard, when the odds are in our favor, we can't be touched, but if we get bogged down in a protracted fight.... We're boned. Always choose your battles cafefully and have an exit line.
Advice from a salty old Polaris captain (whom hasnt actually commanded one in game yet obviously, but has spent years imagining her in battle)
That does kind of sound like its intended operation. Though in militia spaces is meant to also kind of replace the idris, with its lower crew requirement and maintenance budget, obviously trading the sheer resilience and some facilities for a faster, more flexible package.
I'm sure she'll also work well in tandem with other ships as her escorts, or of course as an escort for larger ones.
7:46 : what every one says every second to that small friend :c poor guy 🤣
Fellow Polaris owner here... Very happy we have been able to see it this year, looking forward to IAE.. Can't help being dissappointed about the torpedo nerf through the leaks
Roll on IAE.
My experience with 3.23 so far: tried to dock an archimedes to my andromeda, it worked but the connie's hud became stuck in docking mode (?!?), then i QT'd from Crusader to Arccorp but got BSOD halfway there for no reason, then as i relogged the recovery system worked and i found myself back on the way... only to explode for no apparent reason and respawn at Orison.
Finally as i got a new ship and was walking in the hangar, again for no reason i fell through the floor and found myself stuck between the walls and the abyss.
Logged off after that.
skill issue
Probably the servers having a meltdown with the sudden influx of new/returning people.
Unfortunately happens every free fly and event . Next will be the bug you blow up going out of hanger then elevator's quit working and then the invisible asteroids. And that to go with the new bugs from 3.23.1 mobi quits working contracts not showing up and not being able to accept them overstocked local inventory and not being able to move large ship components
Servers are melting on FF Week. Veterans know to stay away , take a break until the kids go back to sleep. (FF players) o7
Yeh, for all the shills saying it's the best thing ever I found is the same old shit. You can't bed log, the cutlass is borked and unflyable, MM is a ridiculous learning curve. I just can't be arsed tbh, when they bring bed logging back I might be back.
0:10 Invictus is just about *military* ships. Not to be confused with IAE in November.
The red-orangey circular minimap at the top left for the helmet's HUD looks so cool. It reminds me of old footage from when SQ42 was being developed by a different studio and that old visual style with the helmet readouts reminded me so much of Star Wars Republic Commando that I wish those assets were used somewhere in a later version of SC lol.
I got one, and the hype is real. Cant wait to take it for a spin
I got a polaris too ... for your question about how we enter the ship .. either cargo ramp on the left side of the ship or a elevator on the right side of the ship .... or the hangar.
I have all these ships and haven't played for a year. That's how exciting star citizen is.
That things really big, nice to see it in game. I dont care if its not finished, im just happy to see it in the game.
I can’t wait. I bought one too. I can’t wait to solo bunkers in it.
We have military, police, medical, construction, bounty hunter, mining ships but we don’t have fire fighters
@mauriziocorradi1598 I meant in planet not space forgot to say that
There's a lot of us still that can't get in to the servers. It 30k's on the loading screen and just gets stuck. I've gone back and checked it a couple times a day and it hasn't been fixed yet, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to this patch.
So in the Polaris concept art, it has two ramps at the sides, just behind the front landing gear.
23:23 love the claustrophbia pods
I completely underestimated the size of this boat. Absolutely 10/10 design, it looks so great. 💯
Great show! So happy I have one!
Yes!
0:17 nope. Invictus is the military ships celebration. No civvies. During Invictus, you have guns, more guns and bigger guns.
I picked up mine after touring around the RSI stage. Once I saw size comparison it was purchased immediately
I had concept arts of this as background for my phone like 6 years ago, I always thought it was an awesome lookinh ship, seeing this ingame makes me happy
I'm so excited for this ship. I actually own 2 . Thanks so much for doing the top down view, what a great idea. Love it!
I’ve got a Polaris, I got it in its initial sale for credit, so no “unique serial number” or whatever, but it’s one of my oldest ships. I can’t wait for it to be in game! The hanger is the reason I stayed with the Polaris instead of a Perseus. I’ve seen videos of the interior in grey/white boxing, so I’m kind of surprised we can’t at least walk through it
I think I've asked on the forums to get model years of ships for sale. Have little differences, updates and such just like cars. They can use early ships for stuff like that and we'd get to see little differences here and there. Kind of a "Yeah it might be the ship you think it is, but which year, cause it could make a difference in what is about to happen" thing.
Picked up a Polaris a while back, because I wanted a tanky capital ship that was scary, but also extremely versatile. Problem arose however, finances, but also I needed a capital ship that still had capital weaponry, and a capital shield generator, but also had a smaller crew requirement. The Polaris is really one of the most versatile capital ships in that respect, and I can get my bros together and field this ship on the get-go. A lot of people complain about multicrew ships requiring REAL people. To that I say, we live in a society where you need to interact with real people, and such powerful weaponry cannot be wielded alone, or else you'd see hundreds of capital ships flying around with single seater pilots. If your anti social, STAY away from multi crew ships. But if you want a capital ship that fully earns its name, but you don't want to have to call up 10+ people to fly it into combat, the Polaris is your best bet. Realistically, to still fly it into combat effectively, your still going to want 10 people, but that's borderline maximum.
For Fleet Week they generally just display the military or combat focused variants of ships... it's IAE where they show off everything.
I only now noticed:
11.08 minute mark, there's an airlock on the roof of the Polaris. Future gameplay being planned.
10.49 minute mark, there's a massive spotlight under the nose, above the gun turret. I like the idea of those being added to the Carrack.
I love thinking back on the kickstarter when they said that the constellation would be the biggest ships they make in the game.. man what a wild ride it's been! Now I can't decide between the Polaris or the Perseus
It would be amazing if the Nursa had a track that the bed connected to so in the event you had to load someone in an emergency, you drop them on the bed that then retracts into the ship if you need for heavier suits etc
Bought a Polaris a bit ago and been waiting patiently for this point
I'm so hyped. I can't wait to get mine and fly it. Definitely going to be hiring crews to do ERT and group missions.
I CCU'd to the Polaris couple days ago, very excited to get my hands on it at IAE!
Aegis is one of those words people will never all agree on; go with whatever you like
One of the best looking ships for me right now out of RSI lineup. It looks so good. Its something that i will likely never own but its nice to see one up close
this week i got a new pc so exited to see how the game runs
What are the pc specs and how did it run :P???
@@Praxox 4070 ti supper, rizen 7 7800x3d, crucial 2tb m.2 nvme, corsair 850 wat psu, 64 GB of trident z ram, in the nzxt 5 10 elite and a kraken 240 lcd it runs star citetezen on a good 120 fps in space and on orizon at like 80 it runs very nice
The new map system is my favorite new feature in 3.23. I've been waiting 7 years for it by this point. Once you know how to use it makes getting around sooooooo much easier.
4:30 btw, pronouncing Aegis. There's two acceptable pronunciations for it. You can use Long E or Long A before jis. ˈē-jəs or ˈā-jəs.
One good reason the Mustang was modified to land on wheels was that its wings are pretty flimsy and it was very easy to lose one in combat and that made landing pretty tricky. You could even break a wing off in landing if you thumped it down too hard ;) Also with respect tot he Perseus concept art, they confirmed the ship behind it was NOT rammed by the Perseus (i.e. it can't smash through other ships) - it just broke up from incoming fire.
Everything to do with regeneration and the Ibrahim Sphere is so fascinating in SC lore, I have a head canon conspiracy theory with something along the lines of “clone juice” lol
Hey Olli! remember you can't bed log from the Ursa, thats like the biggest downer on the Ursa, absolutely love it apart from that!
I just cant wait until everything is sort of solid. Where we can have RSI, MISC, Anvil and Drake fleets battling it out. Each fleet will have its own strengths, weaknesses that will help form their tactics and their will be micro cultures as well.
The bridge reminds me of the front end of a DeLorean like the one in Back to the Future
Thanks A LOT, Olli. So, you are saying that it might be YOUR fault that I thought my character was bugged because I couldn't rent ships using the old method. It took me about an hour to figure out the podium renting method since nobody in the chat could answer why it wasn't working for me. 🤣
I have one... Looking forward to when it is flyable. It looks fantastic!
Cant wait until they finish with it I have been waiting to receive mine since the fist announcement.
note on the Aurora: not as fast as some starters, looks like a cockroach--but is as hard to kill as a cockroach too. And the 'cargo' version is notably stealthy.
the medivac rover fits so well in the Hercules. i use the cargo bay in that as a base
Replicant material. You harvest Bodies from bunkers using the Grey cat multi tool with a replicant bio extraction module for the materials/bio source that has a similar genetic code as you. Then you can put it in the med bed.
I got one 2, bought it on its first reveil and been waiting wat feels like a eternity 😊. Its look more industrial less sleek but that could be the camera angle and its impressive size. Im really excited
The larger benches you are remembering are from the Argo RAFT. ^^
Just dove in and bought the entry game. I was 36 when this game started.
Regarding the SRV, we had very good experiences to implement these ships into ERT/Salvage missions. The combat pilots destroy the enemy ships, the SRV brings them to the Salvage site and so on. If you have a group big enough to do such an operation, it is very profitable and also super quick. Even after a wipe.
BTW, I also desperately wait for my Polaris. The IAE can not be here fast enough 😁
When I play Star Citizen, it doesn't even look a 10th of how good it looks on your rig. Incredible
The one good thing on 3.23 I found is the graphics are vastly improved.
Yup I own a Polaris, Javelin and Endeavor. I considered the medivac Ursa but I already have the lynx varient for my Carrack which has a medical bed.
@20:18, so if you put a morai pulse within a ursa, put the ursa in a carrack? is this possible?
I'm not sure why the MPUV is 3 ship variants when it's practically screaming to be adopted into that new modular system. It looks like it's literally designed to swap modules on the field.
According to Fleetview, the 890 Jump is larger. But the model of the Polaris may be outdated.
the connie line needs some major updates, the cockpit and the elevators. the cargo elevator dropping stuff is kind of a deal breaker at the moment.
I bought the Polaris on the first concept sale. I was so hyped when I heard it will be flight ready on Invictus but sadly it didn’t come true…
It is a thing of beauty. Can’t wait for a test fly.
to comment on minute 19 where you mention the respawning from med beds, with the state of the game, sometimes you glitch and are killed unfairly, i feel having more opportunity's for med beds like this rover and some of the other small ships it makes it easier to alpha test and provide feedback.
I own one Olli and can't wait to fly her.
I went to check it out a few hours ago, there was two naked guys lying on the Invictus plaque saying "howdy" to everyone that walked past. It kind of made the awe a little silly
I don't know if it's intended or not, but the other MPUV paints don't work on the new laser head version. I have a couple others and they don't show as options in game.
'clone juice': mix of nutrients, proteins and minerals and stuff, and nanomachines to build it all.
I was expecting the Zeus mk II to be present at the event, I hope it launches at CitizenCon
Bought my Polaris last year. Can't wait to spend a week looking for a crew 😂🎉
According to today's Star Citizen Live, the Zeus ES (exploration) will be coming with 4.0, the CL (cargo) is coming IAE, and the MR is not coming this year as it relies on future gameplay mechanics.
Which one has the large armory?
@@TheGhostryder88 the MR
AREA 18, the coruscant of star citizen, 890 is longer by like 50m, I think. Polaris is slightly wider. 890 is also taller. Pol about 180m long. 890, 210M. Also got a polaris xD.
You were correct on the Aegis pronunciation the first time :D
Correct pronunciations would be “AY-jis” or “EE-jis” (assuming you want to say the Greek word meaning shield, which is what the brand is named after. You could also do like Chris Roberts and pronounce it wrong but cool for sci-fi reasons lol)
You could argue “EYE-jis” as well, but usually you only see the “eye” sound for the ae diphthong in religious connotations. In ancient language it would’ve been the “ee” sound and in modern times it’s typically “ay.”
Source: I googled this once upon a time and I’m probably totally wrong on the ancient/modern thing.
I've added a Perseus & Polaris to my Exploration Pack to be paired with my Carrack and 2 other ships to be added in the future.
Oh I've got a Polaris, and I can't wait until I can take this thing out for a spin. It is one of the few pledges that I refuse to melt down to get something else in the meantime.
This things marketed as a "small nimble capital class corvette" lol in my eyes, this thing is my Star Ship Enterprise. As much as I love my mighty Carrack, I think the Polaris might end up being the one I really enjoy going out with a group of people. Plus that MASSIVE hanger gives you a lot of options with smaller specialty ships you can bring along for specific missions. I get its a "combat" ship, but I feel like this thing and the Idris will become the true multi-role kings of the verse.
Ive got a Polaris, i cant wait until it comes out
I actually really liked the old version of the Polaris, it just looks so much sleeker than the current bland grey one.
TBH we have working gravlev now so a fixed wing Mustang would be perfect if the wing blades and the nose had gravlev attached to balance out the landing. make the wing gravlev work in order to make interesting banking turns that other ships may not be able to make.
I think the top of the nursa should be a tractor beam to get people out of a dangerous area before attempting to heal them. Or maybe a med gun? That heals maybe that’s too crazy lol
So excited to start gathering a crew fr fr
I want the old Vanduul Scythe for that 'Classics Series'.
In the recent Q&A CIG posted. They said that the Polaris will be flyable at this year's IAE
I’m exited for my three big boy ships, Perseus, Polaris, and Idris.
Argo Tractor purchased.. Another Jacket to add to the Argo jacket . 🤩
