FUSION 360 free license is crippled and the first tier paid license is ludicrously expensive for a *hobbyist* to even consider using, so Fusion 360 is a non-starter, however good it is.
@@davehrcfpv there are other free options from onshape, freecad, and others. I'm curious what you want to do in the personal license that you can't do because it's crippled?
For me it was FreeCAD. When I started 3D Printing (6?? years ago), I forced myself to learn CAD, since I wanted to use the 3D Printer as a tool and not a gimmick to print predesigned stuff. Semi free stuff like Fusion360 were not an option. The lack of linux support and having a closed source solution in the hand of a company claiming it will be free forever was not trustworthy. TinkerCad wasn't an option due to the overall add/sub a shape method. So i ended up with FreeCAD, which had a ton of issues back then. These days it works more or less perfect, when using the RealThunder edition and avoid the official branch, which looks like to be ahead, but is years behind due to the lack of the TNP fix.
The BEST CAD program is the one you like to use and gets the job done. Everyone has their own "groove". The fact that is a selection of free solutions means a lot of makers can be served well
I'm not aware of a native app you can use on android. However, there are cloud based cad programmes that allow you to design right out of the browser. I have heard many good things said about onshape. There is a free plan so might be worth a look www.onshape.com/en/products/free
@@OnlyKnowsGod I'll go one better, I'll do a dedicated video on this. Ultimately you go to the trial link on the f360 website and choose the personal license. It does need to be renewed each year, but it is totally free for personal use
