I know! I saw one even bigger than this one at Rolling Greens in LA. I personally think they become more & more beautiful with size. They can get insanely grand!
Thanks Nell, I am going to move my ZZ to the kitchen, I absolutely love lush plants. I just bought a tractor seat plant and am going to divide it along the lines I can already see would make a good division. Now I'm off to see your staghorn fern as I like the look of them too. With your help I am becoming a better indoor gardener. Thanks xox
Wow Nell, you really know how to grow healthy plants. You're always struggling to get those monsters out of the pots! It makes me realize how slow my plants are growing.
Hi MaryG - Yes, it took muscle to get my ZZ out of the kitchen & onto the work table. It's a bit more manageable now. Lucy loves her ZZ & I was happy to share. Nell
And after commenting on another ZZ plant video on the lack of division/propagation... I find this video. 🤣🤣🤣😂 hope I find the leaf propagation. Just good info to know... not everyone has the money or a mature plant to divide. Stealth sourcing too! Lol
Hello Nell. love love that big beautifull ZZ plant you have wish I could just come watch you do this transplant. I have two beautifull plants myself and will be transplanting one of them soon. thanks for this video. love love love that big ZZ plant wish I had one that size but mines are getting there. I do have three huge 7ft Ficus trees though including one verigated leaf and two non verigated. thanks Charleen
Hi Charleen - You're welcome! I'm sure your transplanting will go well. Ficus benjaminas (if that's the ficus you have) can be finicky after transplanting you you might loose some leaves. I've transplanted a few of them & they've been just fine. Best not to do it in the late fall / winter months. Nell
Hello Nell, thanks for the kind words . Yes I am referring to the Ficus Benjaminas indeed. I love them to bits and they bring back memories of home. I am from the Caribbean so yes Exotic plants were always a part of my Environment. I don't get a lot of fallen leaves and since I pruned them early Spring they are doing very well. Cheers Char.
Thanks Nell :) I just repotted my zz (which you got me interested in ;) and I wasn't sure I did it right, but now I know I did! Thanks. p.s. wow, yours is amazing!
The adventures Of The gang got a zz plant about a month ago had to find out the hard way it did not like water but it is starting to grow now in sunny FLA, thanks your tips are great. love your plants.
I just tried to repot my ZZ Plant and as I removed the dirt my finger feel into a soft spot of the bulb and out came loads of slime. Is that normal? I was so freaked out I just cut all of the stems and I'm hoping I can propagate those successfully. What should I do the next time that happens with a different plant?
This plant doesn't need to be in well drained soil. I have one zz plant in a container that does not have any hole to drain. I water it once every 6 months and each time the water level is almost all the way to the top of the container. This plant is 12 years old now. :) A while back I went to an Asian restaurant that has a zz plant growing in water. So, this plant is so versatile that it can live with little or a lot of water.
How long did it take for the tuber to heal over before you potted it? Did you have any root rot problems after because of the damaged tuber? I had a massive problem with my spider plant because of broken thick roots broken while I reported it.
Hey Nell, I bought a ZeeZee plant last summer, and ever since then it grew a bunch of new leaves/fronds, but they never darkened in colour. They stayed the same new growth colour (the lime green). Is there any way to fix this?
Param A Time and patience as they mature they will turn darker if it always yellowish light might be too muh light or excess water O c O i ve had problems with over watering this plant
Recommend, just skip most of the video, Its just silly story telling and babbling which has nothing to do with propagating the ZZ plant.... you forgot to tell that your mum's cat dies and thats why it didnt rain and you were sick and the camera, it all went wrong when the dog bit into it. Stop telling personal stories nobody is interested in. And what is it with all that silly body language and silly jokes? (Now you see me... now you dont) Make a 3 minute video out of it. That should contain everything important in the video. EASY THUMBS DOWN Didnt even bother to keep the root bulbs in one piece.
Wow, aren't you a crimped and desolate soul. You spared a few minutes of your amazing, perfect life to type a bitchy comment on this video? Well done you.
@@Pheebs77 You silly little worm, are you naive, guess you spend all your time gossiping on your cell phone, nothing else to do than listening to gossip.

Gorgeous plant!
Is it better to cut leaf in half and stick them in soil?

Lucky you that dont have cold wintertime that i have
Thank you..someone threw away their Zz plant ..it was calling me and now im trying to save it..come of them are bended😭help me save it
Welcome to San Diego!
Love your videos❤️
I just heard in another video the tubers (rhizomes) are a sign of watering issues and will kill a ZZ plant. Is that true?
This plant doesn't need to be in well drained soil. I have one zz plant in a container that does not have any hole to drain. I water it once every 6 months and each time the water level is almost all the way to the top of the container. This plant is 12 years old now. :)

Can you show me how to propagate zz plants from cuttings?
Wear can i finde compost
You are wrestling a monster!! :)
These proper gate faster by leaf then by stem by the looks of it takes a year to grow whole new stem by stem while only 6 month by leaf.
How long did it take for the tuber to heal over before you potted it? Did you have any root rot problems after because of the damaged tuber? I had a massive problem with my spider plant because of broken thick roots broken while I reported it.
I have the same question.. 😅 any advice two years later?
Do you water it after repotting it?
show me leaf cuttingI love those plants
Very very good
so their open wound can just go straight into soil? and it wont get infected?
Same question here 😅
Whay does my zz plant get some brown spots

Waw..Nice
Hi.. anybody can tell to me. why leaves become yellow?and what food i suppose to give to him.. thank ye.
Over watering makes leaves yellow.

Zz plants are low light plants.

Skip the first 2 minutes, its just story telling
intro too long get to the point
Very informative and very nicely presented. Detailed information is very beneficial for a person like me with nil or little knowledge please.
Recommend, just skip most of the video,
