i actually tried to make alot of swing wings so far, never succeeded into making it a very good aircraft tho. But with this video im sure ill figure something out
No. You cant make the sandwich out of elevons or other stuff, it has to be the least amount of parts possible that arent clipping into each other otherwise same vessel interaction will fuck the thing
A version I made with just 4 elevon 1s as the sandwich works perfectly fine (if not a bit better!) that's what I was referring to rather than clipping lots of them together to make a larger piece, which is already enough of a pain with elevons
dont use rigid attachment on anything as it will rapidly dissasemble everything under a high amount of Gs, planes are not supposed to be rigid. also dont autostrut hinges
Had no issues with rud in any of the 12 High G loop tests (or 24 if you count me re-recording this lol) but that could be due to the bottom and top of the sandwich being on separate non-rigid fuselage parts, had a bit of a spring effect pulling them apart at really High Gs, I'll test it with those rigid and strutted together as well rq. And no hinges were strutted in the making of the vid, but I probably should have mentioned not to incase someone did
Hmm, so are they moving in opposite directions (like one wing forward and one wing back?) if so then it's most likely because they are in 2x radial symmetry rather than "Mirror" symmetry so make sure that the wing parts and servos are placed with the symmetry icon that looks like 2 wings opposite each other. Sorry If you already know this, if that's the case lmk and we'll try to figure out what else may be going.

REALISATION. With the docking port wings, you can drop them and replace them with other wing designs/replace drop-tanks!
