Well.... the sarcastic but true answer is “it’s not horizontal” 😂 but to be more specific, the release is really the point at which the rope has been let go and would strike the ground. So that’s really only one revolution. Everything else is just moving to & from other placements. And our word “Mic” really just refers to a combo of skills. For example, in the Standard Mic Release, we so Swing, then Mic (Vertical Release), then an Open/Regular Single Under. So we use the word “Mic” to refer to the combination of all three jumps. And from there you can modify it (like Mic to Cross). So really, common names are extremely imprecise and spelling out the entire combo is better, but far more time consuming hahah
