    I love your tutorials. I started with the 30 day challenge back in 2020 only knowing how to do single unders. With patience and a good set of ropes, I've learned so much from these videos. Jumping rope is finally fun! Thank you for all that you do for this sport!

    Definitely the best tutorial about mic release that I saw!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I've seen several mic release tutorials that are very good and gave me the basic idea. Yours is the first where it explains the throw is off to the side. I have been throwing in front of me. I cannot wait to try it again today with a side throw.

    • @TheHealthyT
      @TheHealthyT  3 роки тому +1

      once you get the hang of it you can throw it any which way. But usually your legs are moving forwards so it makes sense to throw it sideways. Either is fine, just depends what your trying to do in the end. Thanks for reaching out!

      This is exactly what I found out by accident after a lot of wasted effort. It's definitely very important because if you don't, the rope has a higher chance of spinning/tangling with itself.

    I’ve watched a lot of mic release tutorials. This is the best one by far. I was finally able to perform and complete my first mic release and several times more based on this video. It’s still ugly looking but I have a better gist of the mechanics.

    As others have said this is the best tutorial on this technique. Thank you for this video and the amazing explanation and demonstration. As a beginner I’m finding these tricks to be daunting but it’s also a lot of fun. I just got down the dragon roll after many many tries and it felt great to finally do it. Jump rope is addicting and not sure why I just discovered it.

    It's personally silly to think that mic release doesn't even involve the essence of rope-skipping itself but is so difficult to learn. I can do 360s with some variations with relative ease but I absolutely cannot do this even though it doesn't even involve jumping over the rope to learn 🤣 Thank you so much for this man, you make it look easy. 👌💪

      @@TheHealthyT , I forgot to come back and let you know, but I would say that I got a pretty consistent mic release in around 4 months. I've seen a whole lot of videos on UA-cam and Instagram with this skill, but yours is still the best and it's the one that I refer other people to!

    I have what might seem like a silly question, but when you release the rope, are you also then pulling it back towards you to grab it again? I'm having a hard time understanding the mechanics of the move.

    • @HanyH
      @HanyH Рік тому

      Tina, I think the physics takes care of it. The rope really doesn't have a lot of choice but to come back toward you, so you don't have to pull on it. Later, when you link this to other moves, the very next skill might involve a little more directional finessing, but even that doesn't change what you do very much.

    I have tried to master this trick for a year and I’m still terrible. To everyone who was able to learn it and perfect it congratulations. Today is the official day that I quit learning the Mic release. I’ve thrown away my beaded rope, sticking to weighted ropes from now on
