I really wish you were a top medical youtuber . You really make videos with great quality & content based , helps Normal guys to understand things . Honestly must be appreciated brother 🙏 . Stay blessed ❤️
This is something I definitely want to do. I was talking to a doctor who worked in New Zealand after her foundation years for 3 years she sold it to me 😂
How can one apply for FY3 and what’s it’s called on NHS didn’t know there is an FY3 thought it’s only 1 and 2 Foundation year Thank you so much for this priceless information God bless you
Hi Kiran, I’m a 4th yr med student at Manchester! Would you recommend doing an FY3 locum year if you want to apply for a competitive surgical specialty? I’ve heard they tend not to like locum years and prefer clinical fellow positions? :)
I really think it depends. I personally would take a Locum job in a surgical specialty, try and get to theatre when you can, and complete a research project. Halfway through the year you’re applying for surgical applications anyway!
Hey my sister did her plab and did her fy1 and fy2 can she also do this ? She is quiet tight on finances she graduated from india and later moved to UK and did plab ?
Really appreciate your work… Can u please also make a video or please guide on how can an img get the uk passport asap how many years? Do u have to do specialty training or any specifics to get it the express way. Thanks
But is it possible for a doctor to work continuesly for a week or so on .... Isn't there rules which means that doctors should work only for specific amount of time ... Or is it different for locums .....
Soooooo much useful video Dr kiran... Thanks a ton . Wishing to get into uk practice . Gp training is my goal ... Keep posting videos Dr it's very informational and inspiring to work hard to get there .... Pls do videos on gp training and your study materials whenever you are free sir

State travel probably went bust because they're giving people free holidays.. Like?
Fantastic video, really useful! Do you have any tips about temporarily opting out of the nhs pension, or is the money saved not worth the hassle?
It’s a really good thing to be part of, so unless you need that money for something urgently now I’d keep paying into it!
Great video!! Is the any hour limit during FY 3 for people without PR but with full GMC registration & 1 yr experience as non-trainee FY 2?
Not that I know of 😁

It's not something you really apply for, it's an unofficial year of just doing locum work basically after FY2!
@@Kiran.Morjaria is it a training or non training post
Can we do same as a img doctor??
You’re truly an inspiration to me!
Thanks Rahul!

Bro if we have to enter in st1 then also we can save money also why you didn't choose st1?
As ST1 you earn half as much as a locum and are fixed on an on call rota so can’t take much time off

Hey can u elaborate on doing fy3 year in Australia?
What specifically do you want to know?
@@Kiran.Morjaria like how easy is it to get a job there? And also would it be difficult as an IMG?
And what level of doctor would I be over there?
@@siddhanthravichandran3245 I’ve got no idea sorry man, I’ve never worked there and I’m not an IMG
Hey my sister did her plab and did her fy1 and fy2 can she also do this ? She is quiet tight on finances she graduated from india and later moved to UK and did plab ?
As an international doctor you need a visa based on a contract (which a locum doctor does not have), so unfortunately not

EWTD - most trusts ask you to opt out of this
Moving next to fy3 pay do increase!?
If you continue doing non-training locum years you’ll earn the same, if you go into training you’ll earn less
how long can you be a locum doctor for? bcz it sounds like i wld love to do it forever
Hahah indefinitely

Glad you liked it!
is it true that if a doctor boosts his income through doing locums the trust can change his tax code and more tax gets deducted than normal?
Yes, but you’ll get taxed more on the extra amount you earn (so not on the total earnings)
@@Kiran.Morjaria the non taxable amount which currently is £12,500 will be given despite the tax code change?
How much time does it take to enter into fy1 after passing plab...
I’m sure you can go straight away

Would you tell me if I do job 9 to 5 as a fy2 in hosp after 5 I will start my locum if yes then
