xD It does sound silly when you put it like that lol. I imagine the reasoning is something like "tired, cant maneuver to let attacks glance off armor, hit me in the face instead" type thing
To be fair it was very common during the English civil war for troops to just throw away their leg armour (flaps of armour that hung off the breast plate to cover the thighs) after marching for a while. So catching troops in less armour in force march makes sense. Plus I could understand like people lifting visors off helmets to breath, or buckles coming loose from all the fighting and movement and a couple pieces falling by the wayside. Could represent armour damage from all the fighting (after all in theory exhaustion is an energy thing but in practice it's a how long has this unit been stuck in melee meter) so like sure this person walked in with a pauldron and a shield, but 15 orcs later the shield is pretty splintered by now and a near miss knocked his pauldron off and dented the chestplate. It kinda makes sense, short of implementing a system where armour diminishes in effect the longer a unit is in melee and doesn't replenish (which would require adjusting EVERYTHING's balance) it's about as good as can be expected.
Honorable mention: a small change to splash attacks. Per 100 weapon strengh the effected number of units increases by one. So a 500 weapon strentgh unit will do split it's damage across 5 models of the unit. Maybe that will help to improve ranged heros like Markus Wulhart a bit. Overall propably not a big change I think, but certainly something, we'll see.
Maybe (and this is a stretch) it’s to give an additional feeling of a tired unit taking more damage. Or armor during a fight tearing off or becoming damaged. Or maybe it’s to lessen the burden on the Melee stats themselves being debuffed. Idk again it’s a stretch.

How armor goes down when exchausted, does make sense. believe me when wearing a suit of armor while tired getting hit by someone will hurt way more than if you just got stuck into a fight. As when you are full of energy you will naturally use that energy to help dampen blows which is heavily assisted by armor. But when tired, getting hit, even in armor, can get you to fall on your butt pretty easily as well as hurt you as you dont got any energy in your body to help dampen the blows that come your way.
Rationalizations for why armour goes down when you're exhausted: Too tired to lift shield properly, or taking off helmet so you can catch your breath... I can't think of any more off the top of my head though.
You fail to completely deflect/parry/dodge the attack, but you can still mitigate the potential damage by presenting the strongpoints of your armour against the enemies weapons path. But when you're exhausted you might just be too slow, and the potential damage mitigation is less.

Just so you can spend an entire campaign opening up curry shop, phone repair, and car wash industry buildings, and have units of 260 entities cover the map like Skaven? Blegh.
For heavy armor , you would need to aim for the joints, and them being slower makes it easier but... I bet they chose this over just more defense reduction for balance purposes. Units with already good piercing would become too good.
@TheWampam That, and I was also thinking of the ones that destroy armor, like hammerers, cutting through their enemies like butter if they hit too often.

It's what I personally loved so much about the original one, the way it was cartoonishly chumping and cackling through the air, while this new one just statically floats about. It looses a bit of the flair for me, even if the new one looks better design wise.
Armour probably goes down because they are slower, easier to hit the weak point in heavy armour. For others, less deflecting, less blocking with shields, less dodging less parrying.
The logic for armor declining as you get tired is that you are less aware of incoming attacks and less able to protect the weak points in your armor. Think of a knight so tired he can't lift his arms, you could stick a blade under his helmet much easier than when he could stop you.

If you want the easy achievements, just play the end crisises on easy difficulty.. thats what I do
great stuff but the armor reduction from exhaustion is kinda stupid also that means that physical res is better than armor cause that wont get depleted
Physical resist is already different because it includes armor piercing. You can't just say one is "better" though cause that is just not how those stats work.
@@Zwijger Physical resistance is better for a given value of damage reduction, but you pay more for 15% physical resistance than for armour giving 15% damage reduction
@@Zwijger yea sure and magical attacks go through physical, but physical is usually a substitute for armor, see deamon units so on a basic comparison now physical is better
i used your link so my little support
When does this come out?
Today
@ thank you
I think armor is effected from exhaustion because they idea is that if you are tired you are slower to block or dodge. Maybe
That kind of stats are more so for melee defense and melee attack. So there is no reason to have a debuff to armor imo.
Thanks for the 36p off mate!
Where is FLC?????
Is it out yet
If it's not, it will be in a few hours.
Dont do that. You cant tease Ind and Kuresh like that.
I've already resigned myself to believing we will never get them. Don't make me think about them again.
Don't like the new moon
Monkey king
why ppl can complain about long campoaign condition? xD its long.. its supposed to be long... on this stage of capaign its most of the time quite easy to expand. mayby not on legendary but on Vh/VH i didnt spotted the issue. Ppl novadays cont stand challenges xD
The vfx is crap 😢
Honestly hate da bad moon change. He looked like such a silly ork guy before. Now he's just like, generic dark fantasy creepy moon. It's boring imo
7:00 can they stop making units having no weaknesses??? 😂
