Banana-Orange Buttermilk Pancakes | A refreshing twist on a beloved classic!

- The classic Buttermilk Pancakes delivers a burst of new flavors with the addition of bananas and orange. What started as an experiment has quickly become a hot breakfast request amongst the household.
Ingredients:
2 cups of unbleached all purpose Flour - I'm using Kirkland Organic brand
2 Cups of Buttermilk
2 Eggs large eggs lighten beaten-room temperature
2 Tsp baking powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
2 Tbl light Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 + 1/4 Tsp Vanilla extract
4 Tbl Melted Butter cooled
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
1/8 or so Nutmeg grounded
1 medium size Banana fully mashed
1 Organic Orange peel zest wash and dry the orange first before zesting & use a veggie wash or some
other type of vegetable cleaner
Combine the flour and the rest of the dry ingredients together (baking powder, baking soda, light brown sugar , salt cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest and whisk to fully incorporate
Lightly beat eggs, and mash your banana
Make a well in the center of bowl with the flour and add buttermilk, eggs, banana, melted butter and vanilla
Fry pancakes in butter or oil and replenish oil/butter as needed during the frying process. Once you spoon the batter into the frying pan, you will know its time to flip one the pancake shows many air bubbles; then flip and cook for a few seconds additional. sever with maple syrup, pat of butter. Enjoy!!
