- This is the outdoor vitals shadowlight 45l backpack. I purchased this pack for my girlfriend to use on our trips this year. I gave her the choice of basically any pack she wanted, and this is the one she chose due to its combination of being very lightweight, while also having some cool organization, and actually having a frame. If you haven’t checked out Outdoor Vitals, please go do it now! I’m not affiliated with them in any way, but they are a very solid gear company that is very passionate about the outdoors, getting people outdoors, and making really great, lightweight, and functional gear. I own multiple items of theirs, from clothing to actual gear, and it’s all been awesome, quality stuff. In this video, you’ll get a brief rundown of the pack lineup, my initial impressions and thoughts, and I load it up with all my gear just to test it out. For more detailed specs and info, the link to the OV site will be below. I’d this video is helpful, please give it a like, comment with questions or experiences, and subscribe to see this pack in action! Have a great day!
outdoorvitals....
I have the 60L and getting ready to purchase a 40L still love the pack the only things I do not like are the zippers. The hip pocket zippers are just about impossible to close without 2 hands and the main zipper is worthless (for me) because I use a pack liner. It just makes it harder to get to your gear with a liner. Still the best pack I’ve owned.
Best pack I've ever used. Taking it this month on an AT section hike.
Nice! What section?
@@Beardedbackpacker Harper's Ferry north as far as we can go in 12 days. Hope to hit Harrisburg pa.
@@michiganman4624 good luck!!
loved the review, i've fallen down the outdoorvitals rabbit hole when it comes to clothing lol
I have a few clothing pieces including their new wind breaker and it’s awesome!
@@Beardedbackpacker received mine last week and totally agree
I have had the Shadowlight 45 for over a year and really like it. I tried my friends Kakwa 40 but it did not feel as good as the Shadowlight for me. The S shoulder straps gave me a little trouble on the Kakwa, The internal frames are almost exactly the same on both and I found the Shadowlight and Kakwa carried the load about the same. As a weekend warrior type backpacker I think they both are good value but the OV Shadowlight wins my comparison test.
I would say I agree with all of that lol. They are both great packs for sure!
Good lookin pack! I do like OV stuff
It is pretty awesome!
Would you say the shoulder straps are thinner than they are on Hyperlite bags or about the same(Southwest series)?
@@chrisnigul I think they are a bit thicker. More padding for sure!
Great vid. ⛺👍 check this out Pajak XC3 👍😂
