Looking at this because I just today finished filling up my vehicle with HVO. Here in the U.K. there are no filling stations offering it, or GTL, (which I didn’t even know was sold yet) so I had to buy a barrel of it myself! I paid 35-40p a litre more, but that’s including delivery. Excluding delivery it was 20p more. Hopefully there will start to be filling stations offering it, I’m surprised and disappointed we are lagging behind Europe in availability. And hopefully my fuel pump doesn’t leak!
Since 2020 is Blue Diesel (30% HVO) also available in Germany, but so far it is allowed only in Baden-Württemberg country. There is a tank station near to Heilbronn. In Czech Republic I've heard, that HVO is mixed into OMV MaxxMotion diesel - 7% of FAMO is substituted by 7% of HVO.
@@HanVerdiHuskyRV You are welcome! EDIT: There is surprising info, that the czech BENZINA has been offering their premium Diesel Verva with 30% HVO at more than 70% of their tank stations (arround 230) , mainly for the western and cetral regions of the country since Sept 2020. Funny fact, that nobody knows about that, it was not publicly communicated so far. :D I think beacuse of the CO2 limits for the petrol industry, the HVO will spread very quickly in the next few years...

Hi. I am using HVO100 in bought of my cars more than 4 years with out of any problems. Volvo XC 60 D4 2018, and Mercedes 300D 1985. I am so much pleased with results. Bought cars purr like kitten on that fossil free diesel. Here in Sweden winters it’s cold -25C in area in which I live. Never ever have problems to star cars in such harsh climate. Also price on fossil diesel and HVO100 it’s the same here in Sweden.
If GTL is sourcing gas that would otherwise get discarded/burned off as a byproduct of extraction or refining, then the carbon benefit may be more than apparent.
Can i the have one old vehicle with this type fuel HVO? Without problems on my internal combustion engine and without environmental issues! Does exist Renewable LPG or Bio-LPG Fuel? Because i have a car with aftermarket conversion to LPG, not from the factory.
Interesting test. I think I’m remain following you 😄. There is one question about your test that need to be answered for me and most likely many others: can I use HVO in a VW California T6 204 Hp Biturbo, tuned to 245 Hp that needs the regular additive for Euro6 diesel engines and if yes, does my engine additional alterations, such as specific tuning? And will it keep the turbofans clean? I won’t shoot you when you do not have an answer to this questions 🤓.
Hello Cees, Don't know what you mean by 'regular additive for euro6 diesel engines'. If you refer to ad blue (don't know), that's completely different. It's an after-burning additive. As far as I know you can use HVO in newer engines, and every engine manufacturer garantees it up to 30% (there is a 30% HVO blend available at Esso, and 20% blends at most HVO stations), because those products are still within the fuel norm (lubrification etc). If you're worried, you can start with that and see what happens. Older engines, like mine, may develope leaking problems because of oldfashioned gaskets
I am looking for an alternative for this B7 stuff, clogging my filters with fatty residue. HVO looks to be a good alternative. Does anyone know if diesel heaters can run on HVO?
Hele gave presentatie.
Dont see why the increased cetane number for HVO Diesel should increase the fuel economy. Regular diesel has a cetane number that does not cause excessive ignition delay. Could it be that the LCV (lower calorific value) is higher for HVO Diesel? I will look it up...
