Being a born and bred Cali-girl, I’ve watched Casa de Fruta grow from a small, shady fruit stand to the magnificence it is today. And it’s still growing. My hub and I always stop on our way to Carmel and home again to the San Joaquin Valley. We’ve camped overnight in the RV center. The roosters and peacocks were a delight, and didn’t bother us a bit.
I love that place! I doubt that I would have never discovered it had I not been a trucker. San Luis Lake nearby must be near full now with all the rain in CA. Thank you Ray and God Bless!
It Sounded Like You Were Doing A TV Commercial For Them. Actually Great Commentary & Video Footage Ray. That Is One Cool Place Though. Take Care, Stay Safe & God Bless You.
born and raised in hollister ive been going to casa de fruita since i was little. They host the renaissance fair there every year and its a great place to visit.
we always stop there on our way to the coast. it's really nice in May when the cherries are ripe and the restroom are always welcome. we tell people who have heard about it and tell them how nice it is that Casa de Fruta is Spanish for : to over charge for no apparent reason".
