Over the years you have come up with so many good songs, but every once in a while, you really hit it out of the park. This was one of those times, thanks Pete!
Pete, unlike so many "sound only" reviews of this pedal, your articulate guide through each feature and setting really gives the insights into the capabilities and tonal options. You are not only a phenomenal composer and musician but also an awesome engineer! 👍
Been hoping Pete would demo this pedal!! Sounds fantastic!! I love how he can change his style to fit these different sounds. Loved the Queen inspired harmonies towards the end! Another fantastic demo song from Pete!!!!
Pete, I can't imagine how hard it's gonna be for you to pull together only a few tracks for your new CD release... you have tunes literally oozing from your fingers. You used the effects on this pedal beautifully, I hear too many people just washing out the sound with way too much reverb (which just isn't to my taste). All the best to you from England.
You are such a gift to all us guitar players. Killer intro song as always. The way it started reminded me of Robert Plant’s Big Log. Hats off to you man!
Always love your videos Pete. What i almost enjoy more is your wonderful tunes. You really are a composer at heart aren't you? Thanks for all you give to us.
Very cool…I can see this being used in the home studio in a great way. Always a pleasure to listen to you Pete…very helpful in pointing out more features than the other reviewers…I may buy this soon…A+
I’ve seen a lot of videos on the Cloudburst. I even have one, but I did not know it could sound like this. Wow, very creative. It sounds like a synthesizer at times, and you got different synth tones out of it. I can’t wait to try these settings. The room sound you got with the Dan-O is HUGE! you definitely show this pedals stereo capabilities. I’ve been using mine rather conservatively, but you’ve opened my mind to what’s possible with it.
Well, you also sold me on one of those Danelectro Baritones. Not sure if that was intended, or if it is your playing that eliminates the usual muddy tone of such guitars. Great as always.
You are the guy with the Eruption cover!! I stumbled across this channel very recently and thought you looked very familiar. Great to see that you're still making awesome videos :)
I just picked up one if these and I'm so glad I found this video. You got some really interesting sounds out if it that weren't as obvious to me. Great as usual Pete 👍
Dude that danelectro in the past 2 videos has been awesome. Has a twang to it that is really cool in the mix. Also great intro track for this video and I really enjoyed the one from the UA pedals video also. Good stuff pete
I have the blue sky I use it for my bass and I run it stereo especially for the solo bass stuff that I do... You can't beat those sounds there's a distinction... distinct tone and coloration that you can't get from any other effects that maybe in the same zone... Excellent review was always thank you Pete❤
This is the incomparable Pete Thorn at its best. Thank you Pete for this Demosong. I learned a lot for to use this great new Pedal . I hope mine will arrive in a few weeks. Also i will never forget your Demo of the El Capistan way back in time. I bought immediately after your beautiful sounds you created out it. I think you are the most melodic Pedal Presenter on UA-cam. For me its always a joy to listen. Many Greetings from Germany
I just like listening to you playing guitar, not much into pedals and not nieve enough to think I could get any where close to your standard bud, but there's allways wee perils so well worth the watch. 👍👍👍🥃Respect to you mate
I want to use this effect subtlety for modern Jazz chord soloing. I think I may hear Pat Metheny getting a very subtle ensemble effect like this with his Kemper on his acoustic tunes.. I wish I could here someone demo this effect in such a way. I'm concerned if I could get the mix right. Thank you for your great DEMO as always!
Been hearing lots of Brian May in your playing lately it sounds so fun to do those harmonies. You need to make an album with your best shit it would be so good . Hard to find singers though isn't it.
Nice approach and played exceptionally! I do enjoy your playing and conversation on your videos. I know you are an electric guitar player but do you have any opinions on how it would work with an Acoustic guitar? Great video!
The MIDI is via TRS I think. If you don’t want to go down the whole MIDI road, the Strymon Multiswitch will let you save 3 switchable presets. I have mine set for a 1x a;ways-on basic verb, 1x blending in a bit of ensemble. 1x full synth wet signal. That does me for most gigs.
Pete, I thought you had enough of a formal music background to not use "tone" and "sound" synonymously. Every time I hear "tones" I hear it sounds like how Garth would explain it to Wayne: "That Plexi we rented from SIR can really get those sick George Lynch tones dude."
I'll be honest, just not really a fan of that ensemble sound, it sounds too grating and metallic. it's just about ok on 'mp' mode with the tone all the way down though.
THIS never happens to me when I plug into a new pedal. I must be buying the wrong battery. 😂 Thanks for another great song/demo Pete, you never disappoint.
Great pedal but an even GREATER track. Then again, it's also fair to.ssy we have ALL come to expect NOTHING LESS from Mr. Thorn. Cheers Mr. Thorn, as always , the clip kicks major ass

Me, watching Anderton's review of the Cloudburst: "I wonder if Pete has done a review of this thing". Bam! Thanks Pete. Thanks UA-cam.

Definite “Big Log” vibes from your song, which is great.
I already know I want this pedal, but great hearing your take on it.
You are such a gift to all us guitar players. Killer intro song as always. The way it started reminded me of Robert Plant’s Big Log. Hats off to you man!
indeed
Just incredible song ! Fantastic ! I've been interested in this pedal from the start . I think your video nailed it for me . Thanks Pete .
Always love your videos Pete. What i almost enjoy more is your wonderful tunes. You really are a composer at heart aren't you? Thanks for all you give to us.
That intro is one of the best things I've heard played on guitar in quite a while. Awesome mate
Very cool…I can see this being used in the home studio in a great way. Always a pleasure to listen to you Pete…very helpful in pointing out more features than the other reviewers…I may buy this soon…A+
Man what a cool song!!!! Awesome job Pete!!!!!

Definitely going to pick this up. What I like about this is that it does really short tails--almost like a slap-back. This is a really useful sound!
I just added this pedal to my board and I love it and want to learn more about it and you're such a pro, I had to see how you demo this cool bad boy
Well, you also sold me on one of those Danelectro Baritones. Not sure if that was intended, or if it is your playing that eliminates the usual muddy tone of such guitars. Great as always.
Thank you Pete. I look forward to hearing more of your wonderful music and reviews. God bless you.
Amazing sound, crazy you mentioned the sound of the introduction when I was asking the same thing 👏👏👏
Fantastic demo of the Cloudburst, thanks Pete!
Great tune! Pedal sounds awesome too thanks for the review 👍
You are the guy with the Eruption cover!! I stumbled across this channel very recently and thought you looked very familiar.
Great to see that you're still making awesome videos :)
Pete love the baritone guitar on the front end. Nice piece of music. Very 80's!
Great demo Pete!
Sounds killer!
Wonderful opening tune!
Wow... do I love this track! Pete you killed this one...
Great playing dude! Nice chords and melody
Baritones have such a unique sound. The Cloudburst sounds great too.
That solo was so lovely!
Nice one Pete. Don't tell anyone but I've actually been communicating with Whales using the Cloudburst Ensemble mode 🐳
Great demo Pete!! Thanx a lot! 🙏🏼
Such nice music and profound introduction of the pedal. Thanks !
Thanks!
Beautiful phrasing in that opening solo Pete. Cheers from Oz. :)
Thanks!
It is awesome Pete! I got mine about a month ago, and highly recommend it. Your playing here demonstrates it beautifully. 🙂
Thanks!
Love mine ....So easy to use and sounds every bit as good as you are hearing here
Love that intro song! What a groove, thanks.
Thank u!
What an intro!! 😲
I just picked up one if these and I'm so glad I found this video. You got some really interesting sounds out if it that weren't as obvious to me. Great as usual Pete 👍
Wow. The song in the beginning is a top hit 🏆
Dude that danelectro in the past 2 videos has been awesome. Has a twang to it that is really cool in the mix. Also great intro track for this video and I really enjoyed the one from the UA pedals video also. Good stuff pete
Thanks so much. I haven’t used the baritone for a while, and it felt good to break it out again, and worked really well in these videos, I think!
Cool demo, Pete.
Killer track dude!
You make this pedal shine.
I have the blue sky I use it for my bass and I run it stereo especially for the solo bass stuff that I do...
You can't beat those sounds there's a distinction... distinct tone and coloration that you can't get from any other effects that maybe in the same zone...
Excellent review was always thank you Pete❤
Great video Pete and cool pedal. I loved that fake chorusish sound. I wonder how it will sound on my Fender Bass VI.
Omg when I saw that you were doing the ambient pedal I thought he's much too ballsy to demo this. But your sounds and demo were my absolute favorites
Thanks!
Thanx Pete.

The Cloudburst is awesome but I'm waiting for Strymon to do the Oil Can Delay trick in a box. I don't know they will but I want one.

Sounds so cool! just bought one heh heh
I like your gear demos better than most album tracks.
Thank u!!
Killlller opening track!
You always have the best demos for all the gear out there! Off topic, that a Boda Skins Jacket hanging on the chair?
I don't care about ANY of those pedals, I'm just here to listen to Pete's cool music.
Been hearing lots of Brian May in your playing lately it sounds so fun to do those harmonies. You need to make an album with your best shit it would be so good . Hard to find singers though isn't it.
Dayum!
Thank god, finally, a reverb pedal.
First time i get the first view. Thanks for another great video Pete.
Vibe! 'nuff said
Would you use this and the H90 at the same time? They both have some spacey vibes.
Nice approach and played exceptionally! I do enjoy your playing and conversation on your videos. I know you are an electric guitar player but do you have any opinions on how it would work with an Acoustic guitar? Great video!
hey pete are you going to put out a new cd? i hope so ill be in line to buy it!
THIS is the demo I've been looking for. May replace my BigSky👀
Righteous riffage as usual!
Thanks!
Does it have trails?
Could you please let me know what drive pedal you're using for the solo at the beginning of the video?
Hate blowing smoke, but when i am considering buying a pedal, PT videos are mandatory viewing if it exists.
Well done brother. Did I hear a bit of Plant in there? ❤
Ah, I hadn’t thought of that but now that you mention it, the Robbie Blunt influence is showing a bit
Is it as good as the HALO ?
Great job! You're almost as good as me😜
fantastic
You're the bomb!!!!
Great sounding pedal but pity the MIDI is over USB - I and many others wouldn't know where to start working with that!
Is it not via the exp jack with 1/4” jack - midi cable?
Pretty sure it is.
They also sell that cable (ofc)
STRYMON MIDI - EXP CABLE is the name.
Modern yacht rock.😎
It would have needed a "hee hee" or a "shamona" at 1:30 - else a perfect song!
Pete is the best pedal salesman 😅😂
I would have called it the Strymon Log - because it sounds like Robert Plant’s Big Log album in a pedal.
If Thomas Dolby and A kind of magic era Queen had produced Talk Talk it would have been this, exactly this, minus the shred.
sweet!
Nice guitar the silver one I mean
Sounds a little like Godley and Cream "Cry" and some other late 1970's & early 1980's groups
Let's see ambient play ar come in and show you how to play it riight daaa daaa
Pete, not enough sauce in your recent compositions :))))))
👍👍👍
Theres some megadeth potential in here
Felt like a little Canadian content at the start, reminding me of Payolas (Rock & Hyde).
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
use it with a fuzzface.
Bit o fuzz in the middle of my track… sounds great with fuzz
Great playing, thing sounds like cheese though…

Enough please hurting my ears..
You don't need to use the cloud doors for that piece of s*** music. You're playing,,
THIS never happens to me when I plug into a new pedal. I must be buying the wrong battery. 😂 Thanks for another great song/demo Pete, you never disappoint.
