Good Evening: A 5-inning, 1 run start from a relief pitcher who was still in the minors at age 29 a few weeks ago. Hope Mr. Bivens can keep this going.

Bivens going to dugout and receiving high fives from the team is something special. Majority of pitchers go and sit in the corner between innings and don't communicate.
Yeah I’m not so sure he’s gonna be a relief pitcher for much longer. Considering the giants need for starters who can eat up innings. I think he’ll be in that starting rotation
Let’s goooo the giants beat the dodgers and won the series and Bivens played so good he stuck out Ohtani 2 times and Ohtani went 0-5 so the giants did really good against him
Don't forget everyone, we will have soo not 1 not 2 not 3, but 4 actually great starters back in the rotation. An Healthy Snell, Ray, Cobb and Harrisson + Webb and Hicks, and now we know that Spencer can actually help (it also means no more Winn) with Soler and the rest of the offense finally hitting, means a lot of potentiel good winning streak. The Giants can have the 5 or 6 playoff spot.

Oh please, he’s been doing this all year, and now when the PLAYERS start to preform you say it’s Melvin. The difference now is that Melvin AND the players are doing well. Managing can’t get a team 11 extra base hits in a single game
@@LaMonteWade31 Not true, Yaz and Conforto have faced a bunch of lefties. Melvin was even outspoken during spring training about making Conforto an every day outfielder, which he clearly is not cause he can't hit lefties. Im glad Melvin threw that plan out the window cause it wasn't working
Not true, Conforto and Yaz have started most games regardless of the pitcher. Melvin even said he wanted Conforto to be an every day player during spring training

I think it's better when we can win a series rather than having a multi game winning streak. So far this year, our win streaks have been followed by even longer losing streaks.

i went to this game and it was my brithday, i got a picture with lu seal, and i got a baseball from wisley, sadly i couldent get it signed but this was the best giants game ever. ps: othani got cooked

I know the Giants had a huge lead going into the final inning, but it was still frustrating they had so much trouble getting that final out.
Gigantes with their signature win of the SEASON! Scored a combined 22 runs in the series, including TEN doubles today, and going 8 for 19 w/RISP.
Also, can we get Spencer Bivens into the rotation regularly? This dude is great! Threw just 60 pitches in 5 incredible innings of work, struck out Ohtani TWICE, and even the homer he gave up was on an outside change-up that "Giant Killer" Chris Taylor put a professional swing on to CF. Again, super impressed with Bivens; he might be another excellent reclamation project/find for Farhan.
Overall, the team has shown these flashes of great play before, but can they sustain it? Great start to this tough gauntlet of Dodgers, Braves, and Guardians 👏👏👏
The boys are scrappy! Do whatever it takes to take down the Dodgers! Can’t wait for our starting pitching to come back so we can let our bullpen a much needed rest
