Dude thank you so much! I finally got my tundra and have wanted this rack setup for years and you made it less intimidating! I had one on my Tacoma but those have bolt holes already in them. Time to start drilling🙌💯
Got me thinking of doing my own rack, just need to piece together the hardware kit you had for the roof holes. Not sure what those expanding inserts would be called.
They’re called plusnuts I think. I’m pretty sure you can order them from Cbi- but i found some on Amazon (not sure of their strength/sizing) www.amazon.com/Hillman-Group-59124-10-24-20-Pack/dp/B00NUFMG86/ref=asc_df_B00NUFMG86/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198090173497&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15771124712013188487&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030557&hvtargid=pla-350492295725&psc=1
Thanks for posting this. Makes it seem a little more palatable to drill holes in the roof. 🍻

I was definitely intimidated as well, but after a year and no leaks- I’m 100% confident. Thanks for watching everyone!

Nice video thanks for the details…..
Not a fan of plusnuts, that's the only thing that prevents me from trying.
Why? Have you had any issues? It’s been over a year, with heavy loads on the rack (while off-roading) and I haven’t had any issues yet.
Shouldn't take 6 hours, but, it does lol :)
fkn sweet man!!
Looks pretty good
