    Thanks guys. This really gives me a better idea what I've been doing right and what I've been doing wrong. Now I know what improvements needs to be fine tuned for a more successful catch. Very nice video. Thanks.

    How long of a leader off the dodger?

      A basic rule of thumb is twice the length of the Dodger although for king salmon a longer leader is often used. Longer leaders give a little less action which can be what king salmon like.

    ALL THE SALMON I CAUGHT ON LAKE OROVILLE IN THE 90'S HAD LEACHES OR WORMS ON THEIR GILLS.

    Messing with mother nature is never a good idea. It seems these planted chinook salmon should be able to thrive better without disease and grow much larger. Maybe the food chain does not enable that. Maybe time to abandon the project and focus on planting fish in the Feather River.
