According to 'Abdallah Ibn 'Omar (may Allah be pleased with them), the Prophet (may the prayers of Allah and His salvation be upon him) said: "Surely Islam began strange and it will become strange again as it began. It takes refuge between the two mosques as the snake takes refuge in its hole (*)"
(Reported by Mouslim in his Sahih n°146)
(*) In other words, Islam will remain as it really is only in the area between the Al Haram mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's mosque (may the prayers of Allah and His salvation be upon him) in Medina.
In the other areas of life, however, people will either deny Islam altogether, or they will stray so far from it that all that will remain of it is the name, and then the person who clings to Islam among them will in reality be like a stranger.

and absolutely all the 'alim between mekkah and medina are salaf. ibn uthaymin, cheikh of mekkah until his death, cheikh ibn baz cheikh of medina university, taif and other until his death, albany, sometime cheikh university of medina, cheikh salih as souhaymi and soulayman ar rouheyli cheikh of medina (madjid an nabawi) ect... and they are seen as gharib (rare or strange ) to the rest of the poeple ( in other country )
akhi, see quran: "the Path of those You have blessed-not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray." those you are displeased is juif because they knew the trust but does'nt apply it like said in authentic hadith, an misguided are the christian because they tryed to worship ALLAH but does'nt knew how.
so the straight path is to know your religion, and apply it.
all the verse about straight path include other, because ALLAH does'nt change the straight path, and his own words. so when it is said
"except those who have faith, do good," in al asr verse 3, it include what al fatiha included. those who do good are those who apply his religion (opposite to juifs) , islam which is upon 5 pillars and those who have faith, is upon 6 pillars, and is what needed to believe to not be astray (like the christian) however the 6 pillars can be resume in 2: believe in ALLAH and everything he said and the messenger en everything he said, because if you believe in those 2 (which is the shahada) , you believe in qadar, the day, and all the other pillars. a proofs is that:
"The true believers are only those who believe in ALLAH and His messenger, who then do not doubt and who struggle with their goods and their persons in the way of Allah. These are the truthful.
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتَابُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ" (verse 15 in Sura 49 THE APARTMENTS / AL- HUJURAT) struggle here is islam, doing good deed by submission. believe in ALLAH and in his messenger is iman resume, and is the condition to not be astray (those tree are the question of the grave however). if you believe in ALL that ALLAH and his messenger said your are rightly guided. if you bondon something because you dont like it, you re astray.
and there is a lot to said to those verse about the right path, however the interesting part is: there is two emotion that hasten the muslim to do good deed, the fluel of the muslim
1: faith which is not the same as the faith wich is the theoric principe on 6 pillars see before, but whoch is the love to ALLAH proofs here
al hujurat verse 14 "The Bedouins said, "We have faith." Say: "You do not yet have faith. Say rather: We have merely submitted, for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not make you lose anything of your deeds." Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
the christian had faith which make them to do good deeds, but go astray. faith raise whit good deeds and du'a to ALLAH to increase it
2: fear of ALLAH, :"Among His servants, only the learned fear Allah. Allah is, indeed, Mighty and Forgiving."
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلدَّوَآبِّ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْعُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ" (verse 28 in Sura 35 THE CREATOR / FATIR)
the juif had science, but why did they not have tarcha (fear)? because they dont had faith before, which proof that for fear, you not only need science but faith like the christian, because if science would suffice, juif would had it. so to have tarcha you need to have faith (which increase by good deeds which equal to islam, submission so included what the juif had'nt) and have science ( which include what christian had'nt, like mentioned they had'nt science to worship ALLAH, which condition had been mentioned before)
so the tarcha include all the right path, proofs are there:
"Those who fear their Lord though they have never seen Him will have forgiveness and a great reward.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ" (verse 12 in Sura 67 THE ROYALTY / AL-MULK) and many more verse, which said that those who have fear will be forgiven, and have paradise, which is what right path include "The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided." so having tarcha include all the other verse that talk about the straight path and is a verse about the straight path
and you can see that all the group who are astray dont felle tarcha, and it is ALLAH's will, like the christian but even the moubtadi' (innovators) who have a christian like view of islam, that ALLAH for exemple is the most forgiving and forget the fear that you need to have and cancel of rudeness although ALLAH said clearly "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are harsh to the unbelievers, merciful to each other. You see them bowed down, prostrate, seeking grace and pleasure from Allah."(verse 29 in Sura 48 THE AMAZING VICTORY / AL-FATH) ect...
see this verse, dont having tarcha is one of the things that is specidied to the rightly guided person and the misguided who have not fear think that ALLAH is only love, or forget the rudeness, and this verse explain it"
" O Dawud (David), We have made you a caliph over the earth. So judge fairly among the people and follow not passion: else it will lead you astray from the path of Allah." For those who stray from the path of Allah will have a harsh punishment for forgetting the Day of reckoning.
يَٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰكَ خَلِيفَةًۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا نَسُوا۟ يَوْمَ ٱلْحِسَابِ " (verse 26 in Sura 38 SAD / SAD) "for forgetting the day"

People who claim to follow this Sheikh often declare others as deviant just because of differences in opinion.

This audio has nothing to do with those who call themselves Salafis, but it is about those who apply the term "Salafiyyah" as a sect and label anyone who differs with them as being astray.

May Allah (swt) guide those who feel this way, I feel the best solution insha'Allah is not to go to extremes in any aspects of our beliefs. I noticed the ones who are usually astray or confused are the ones who focus too much on one aspect of Islam...Allah (swt) knows best.
Right. For me I'll follow the Quran, Sunnah of prophet Muhammad and the sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs (sahabas) then the 2nd and 3rd generations.

I live in America and although I did not witness the fitnah the harsh "salafis" created, I am witnessing the aftermath of the fallen da'wah. The Way of Salaf Salah is the Way all Muslims go. But these who call themselves "Salafis" are marking them to a Part of the hizb (sect) So the Sheikh warns cleary for these who call themselves "Salafi".
You have to say " I'm a MUSLIM wo follows the Salaf as Salah!!!" But not " I'm a Salafi"

I listened to the audio and the sheikh mentioned there is nothing wrong with VIDEO recordings as I already mentioned before when I gave you a quote from the same sheikh, Besides this is a matter of disagreement between the scholars, so you shouldn't say such and such is haram.

Subhan'Allah! Do you know videos are comprised of digital still images. I provided you with a quote by the same sheikh mentioning the same thing about photos that are not on paper and must be viewed with a machine such as a computer. Again this is a matter of disagreement between the scholars do to the fact that photographs are exact reflections of the images taken and do not fall under the category of image makers such sculptors or painters..

Definition of Salafiyyah🌹
This is from a reply which the noble Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) gave and is recorded in Liqaa’ al-Baab al-Maftooh, 57/15 under the heading “Meaning of Salafiyyah and ruling on ascribing to it” in reply to a question which asked “what salafiyyah is as a manhaj and can we claim to belong to it? Can we criticise those who do not belong to it or who object to the word Salafi and so on?”.
The Shaykh (rahimahullaah) said:
“ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ : ﻫﻲ ﺍﺗﺒﺎﻉ ﻣﻨﻬﺞ ﺍﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﻭﺃﺻﺤﺎﺑﻪ؛ ﻷﻧﻬﻢ ﻫﻢ ﺍﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﺳﻠﻔﻮﻧﺎ ﻭﺗﻘﺪﻣﻮﺍ ﻋﻠﻴﻨﺎ، ﻓﺎﺗﺒﺎﻋﻬﻢ ﻫﻮ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ .
ﻭﺃﻣﺎ ﺍﺗﺨﺎﺫ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ ﻛﻤﻨﻬﺞ ﺧﺎﺹ ﻳﻨﻔﺮﺩ ﺑﻪ ﺍﻹﻧﺴﺎﻥ ﻭﻳﻀﻠﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺧﺎﻟﻔﻪ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﻠﻤﻴﻦ ﻭﻟﻮ ﻛﺎﻧﻮﺍ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺣﻖ، ﻭﺍﺗﺨﺎﺫ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ ﻛﻤﻨﻬﺞٍ ﺣﺰﺑﻲ ﻓﻼ ﺷﻚ ﺃﻥ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺧﻼﻑ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ ،
“Salafiyyah is following the way of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) and his Sahabah for they are our Salaf (predecessors) who preceded us, so following them is Salafiyyah.
As for taking Salafiyyah as a special Manhaj such that everyone who differs with it is considered astray even if he was on the truth; and taking Salafiyyah as a partisan path, then this is beyond doubt opposite to Salafiyyah.
ﻓﺎﻟﺴﻠﻒ ﻛﻠﻬﻢ ﻳﺪﻋﻮﻥ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻻﺗﻔﺎﻕ ﻭﺍﻻﻟﺘﺌﺎﻡ ﺣﻮﻝ ﺳﻨﺔ ﺍﻟﺮﺳﻮﻝ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻀﻠﻠﻮﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺧﺎﻟﻔﻬﻢ ﻋﻦ ﺗﺄﻭﻳﻞ، ﺍﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﺇﻻ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﺎﺋﺪ، ﻓﺈﻧﻬﻢ ﻳﺮﻭﻥ ﺃﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺧﺎﻟﻔﻬﻢ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ ﻓﻬﻮ ﺿﺎﻝ، ﺃﻣﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺎﺋﻞ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻠﻴﺔ ﻓﺈﻧﻬﻢ ﻳﺨﻔﻔﻮﻥ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ ﻛﺜﻴﺮﺍً .
All of the Salaf or early generations called for unity and harmony around the Sunnah of the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and did not regard as misguided those who differed with them with on the basis of their understanding and interpretation (Taweel), except when it came to matters of ‘aqeedah or beliefs, because they regarded those who differed with them in these matters as misguided. But with regard to practical issues they were often easy-going.
ﻟﻜﻦ ﺑﻌﺾ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻧﺘﻬﺞ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻔﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻋﺼﺮﻧﺎ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺻﺎﺭ ﻳﻀﻠﻞ ﻛﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺧﺎﻟﻔﻪ ﻭﻟﻮ ﻛﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺤﻖ ﻣﻌﻪ، ﻭﺍﺗﺨﺬﻫﺎ ﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﻣﻨﻬﺠﺎً ﺣﺰﺑﻴﺎً ﻛﻤﻨﻬﺞ ﺍﻷﺣﺰﺍﺏ ﺍﻷﺧﺮﻯ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻨﺘﺴﺐ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺩﻳﻦ ﺍﻹﺳﻼﻡ،
But some of those who followed the path of Salafiyyah in modern times started to regard as misguided everyone who differed from them, even if that person was correct, and some of them adopted a partisan approach like that of other parties which claimed to belong to the religion of Islam.
ﻭﻫﺬﺍ ﻫﻮ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻳُﻨﻜﺮ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺇﻗﺮﺍﺭﻩ، ﻭﻳﻘﺎﻝ : ﺍﻧﻈﺮﻭﺍ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻣﺬﻫﺐ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻒ ﺍﻟﺼﺎﻟﺢ ﻣﺎﺫﺍ ﻛﺎﻧﻮﺍ ﻳﻔﻌﻠﻮﻥ؟ ﺍﻧﻈﺮﻭﺍ ﻃﺮﻳﻘﺘﻬﻢ ﻭﻓﻲ ﺳﻌﺔ ﺻﺪﻭﺭﻫﻢ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺨﻼﻑ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻳُﺴﻮﻍ ﻓﻴﻪ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻬﺎﺩ، ﺣﺘﻰ ﺇﻧﻬﻢ ﻛﺎﻧﻮﺍ ﻳﺨﺘﻠﻔﻮﻥ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺴﺎﺋﻞ ﻛﺒﻴﺮﺓ، ﻭﻓﻲ ﻣﺴﺎﺋﻞ ﻋﻘﺪﻳﺔ، ﻭﻋﻤﻠﻴﺔ،
This is something that is to be denounced and cannot be approved of, and it should be said to these people: Look at the way of the righteous early generation (al-salaf al-saalih), what did they used to do? Look at their way and how open hearted they were in the case of differences in which ijtihaad is justified (and differences of opinion are allowed). They even used to differ concerning major issues, matters of belief and practical issues.
ﻓﺘﺠﺪ ﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﻣﺜﻼً ﻳُﻨﻜﺮ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﺮﺳﻮﻝ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﺭﺃﻯ ﺭﺑﻪ، ﻭﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ : ﺑﻠﻰ، ﻭﺗﺮﻯ ﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ : ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻮﺯﻥ ﻳﻮﻡ ﺍﻟﻘﻴﺎﻣﺔ ﻫﻲ ﺍﻷﻋﻤﺎﻝ، ﻭﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﻳﺮﻯ ﺃﻥ ﺻﺤﺎﺋﻒ ﺍﻷﻋﻤﺎﻝ ﻫﻲ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻮﺯﻥ، ﻭﺗﺮﺍﻫﻢ ﺃﻳﻀﺎً ﻓﻲ ﻣﺴﺎﺋﻞ ﺍﻟﻔﻘﻪ ﻳﺨﺘﻠﻔﻮﻥ ﻛﺜﻴﺮﺍً، ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻨﻜﺎﺡ، ﻭﺍﻟﻔﺮﺍﺋﺾ، ﻭﺍﻟﺒﻴﻮﻉ، ﻭﻏﻴﺮﻫﺎ، ﻭﻣﻊ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻻ ﻳﻀﻠﻞ ﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ ﺑﻌﻀﺎً .
You will find some of them, for example, denying that the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw his Lord, whereas others say that he did see Him. You will see some of them saying that what will be weighed on the Day of Resurrection is deeds, whereas others will say that it is the books of deeds that will be weighed. You will also see them differing a great deal with regard to matters of fiqh having to do with marriage, shares of inheritance, buying and selling, and other issues. Yet despite all that they did not regard one another as misguided.

Salafiyyah in the sense of being a particular party with its distinguishing characteristics (specific rules) and in which the members regard everyone else as misguided, these people have nothing to do with Salafiyyah at all.

As for the Salafiyyah which means following the path of the Salaf in belief, word and deed, in calling for unity and harmony and mutual compassion and love, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The likeness of the believers in their mutual love, mercy and compassion is that of a single body; when one part of it is suffering the rest of the body joins it in fever and staying awake” - this is the true Salafiyyah.

Way of the Salaf. Then who are the Salafs? The Salafs after Prophet Muhammad are the 1st generation (Sahabas) then the 2nd generation then the 3rd generation. After this 3rd generation there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness. (Bukhari #6429) - You can check the hadith for exact translation.

This video is of extra benefit especially because it is by Ibn Al-Uthaymeen, and he's a scholar that is lumped with the Salafi sect by both Salafiya and non Salafiya. But the justification the Salafiyah use from Ibn Al-Uthaymeens books is extracted by itself without fully understanding what the point the sheikh was trying to make, and this video helps clarify intention intention, and it clears his name from actions the Salafiyah are known for.

this is a great explaination by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen rahimaullah where he outlined the 'characteristics' of those who associate to the path of salafiyyah and the actual Salafiyyah itself. I appreciate the advice, but this video I believe must remain up. I have a disclaimer in the beginning of the video explaining the purpose of this video. Some brothers and sisters who claim to be following dawat us-salafiyyah are literally destroying the dawah with their harsh and ignorant actions. They are not only making the people flee from the dawah, but are also pushing Muslims away from Islam. The fitnah they created is too great to ignore.

There is nothing wrong with referring to oneself as "Salafi", the problem is that many who do so are not truly following the way of the Salaf. Many self-acclaimed "Salafis" make Taqleed of certain Ulema in "the Kingdom" as if they are infallible. Thus, when their Shuyukh err or adopt a particular opinion (which may or may not be correct), they blindly follow, believing themselves to be upon Haq.
May Allah grant the shaykh jannah! He has indeed cleared up the fitnah and the mess left by the hizbis who ironically claim a monopoly over the madhab of as-Salaf for themselves while accepting and throwing people out of Salafiyyah at will through their nafs.

I know someone who was there at this speech with the shaykh. He said to me that the Sheikh said this after some of the students promoted harsh jarh wa tadeel of Sheikh Rabee Madkhali.

just because they do not agree on issues pertaining to ijtihad or that they do not agree with their chosen scholars. This is hizb not salafiyah. Every scholar makes mistakes but for some salafi brothers, their chosen scholars are ma3soom and cannot be rebuked. How many a times Omar disagreed with AbuBakr? So much so that he once said to him 'do you always have to disagree with me' yet, they had utter respect for each other. This love despite having differences was the path of salaf which is lost

While it is true that many of those whose hearts have become hardened against the ad-Dawatus-Salafiyyah are upon misguidance, it is important to clarify what Salafiyyah really is - it is to adopt the madhab of the Salafus-Salih in its totality. Thus, it is upon every Muslims to be "Salafi", but claiming to be such does not mean that one is truly upon that path.

Clarification on the statement of Ibn Uthaymeen’s - "The Salafi Sect" Vs. The Way of the Salaf by Dr. Abdulilah Lahmami [Hafidhahu Allaah]

I asked Dr. Abdulilah Lahmami حفظه الله if what did Shaykh ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله meant on the Salafi sect. He replied:
❝Yā akhī, this kalām of Shaykh Al-‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله, he mentioned it in front of Shaykh Rabee’, and Shaykh Rabee’ corrected him by saying “Do not put Salafiyyah with all the other groups”, then at the end Shaykh Al-'Uthaymeen رحمه الله said “Take from your brother what he has said”. So they have cut it without mentioning the rest of the tape, so they are deceiving people, or they are ignorant Bārakallāhu feek.
Secondly, Shaykh Al-'Uthaymeen رحمه الله in 'Aqīdatul Wasitiyyah himself says “Whoever follows the Qur'ān and Sunnah in the understanding Salaf then he is Salafī. [Page 34 Sharh Al-'Aqīdatul Wasitiyyah].
Also my dear brother, Shaykh Al-'Uthaymeen رحمه الله i met myself personally, in Hajj time, and mentioned to him about his Kalām regarding, he said what he is against is that you don’t be partisan, thinking that you are saved (Not correcting mistakes), and that’s what he was against, not against ascribing to the way of the Salaf Bārakallāhu feek.
And as I said Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said in volume 4 p.149 bārakallāhu feek, there is no harm in ascribing to the way of the Salaf, and saying I’m a Salafi. They used it in the past, and we use it now. Imām Adh-Dhahabi رحمه الله said in Siyār An-Nubalā, 'Abdullah bin Mubarak As-Salafi. So it’s not an issue Akhī Barakallāhu feek.
And as I said Shaykh Al-'Uthaymeen رحمه الله took it back, when he was corrected by shaykh Rabee’ when Shaykh Rabee’ visited the 'Unayza. So tell this people, stop lying about the Shaykh, or at least know what the Shaykh is saying Bārakallāhu feek.❞ -End Quote

There is no fault (blame) upon the one who proclaims the madhhab of the Salaf, who ascribes to it and affiliates himself to it. Rather, it is obligatory to accept that from him by unanimous agreement, for the madhhab of the Salaf is never but the truth.

In Sahih Muslim [1847, chapter of obligation to stay with the majority (Jamaa) in period of fitna], the Prophet warns us about the predicators that invite people to hell and that we must stick to the majority of the Muslims.
It has been narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa b. al-Yaman who said: People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the good times, but I used to ask him about bad times fearing lest they overtake me. I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then God brought us this good (time through Islam). Is there any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time? He said: Yes, but therein will be a hidden evil. I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein? He said: (That time will witness the rise of) the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know good points as well as bad points. I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. (A time will come) when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Whoso responds to their call they will throw them into the fire. I said: Messenger of Allah, describe them for us. He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language. I said: Messenger of Allah, what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time? He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader. I said: If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader? He said: Separate yourself from all these factions, though you may have to eat the roots of trees until death comes to you and you are in this state.

Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman:
The people used to ask Allah's Apostle about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said, "O Allah's Apostle! We were living in ignorance and in an (extremely) worst atmosphere, then Allah brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I said, 'Will there be any good after that evil?" He replied, "Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)'' I asked, "What will be its taint?" He replied, "(There will be) some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others." I asked, "Will there be any evil after that good?" He replied, "Yes, (there will be) some people calling at the gates of the (Hell) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (Hell) Fire." I said, "O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us?" He said, "They will be from our own people and will speak our language." I said, "What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?" He said, "Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler)." I said, "If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?" He said, "Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state."
