This statement of Abdallah ibn al Mubarak was quoted by al Imam al Bukhary in his book : "khalq af'al al ibad", a book in which he refutes the wrong aqeedah of the jahmiyyah (asharites are neo-jahmy).

May Allah reward you. The Asharis/Maturidis taweel are also refuted by Imam Tirmidhi. At-Tirmidhī stated, “…. the Jahmiyyah oppose these narrations and say, ‘This is resemblance (tashbeeh)!’ However, Allah the Most High, has mentioned in various places in His Book, His Attribute of Hand, Hearing, and Seeing but the Jahmiyyah make false interpretations of these verses, explaining them in a way other than how they are explained by the People of Knowledge. They say, ‘Allah did not create Adam with His own Hand.’ They say that Hand means power”. (See As-Sunan of At-Tirmidhī no. 662)
Imam Darmai and Imam Darqutnai has written multiple books on the subject of Aqeedah.

نحن لا نشبه الله سبحانه و تعالى بما يدور في أذهانكم المريضة....نحن لا نطبق على الله لا قياس التمثيل أو التشبيه و لا قياس الشمول و لكن نطبق عليه فقط قياس الأولى ...فنحن لا نشبه و لا نكيف و لا نعطل و لا نفوض معاني الصفات....لتفهم كل هذا عليك أن تنمي مداركك العقلية و النفسية و تفرق بين التعقل و التصور و المعاني المجردة و تحصن نفسك من وساوس الشيطان و نزغاته...

نحن لا نعطل من صفات الله شيء و لا نفوض معناها .. فالمعنى معلوم و الكيف مجهول...فمعناها ظاهر في معاني لغة القرآن...يفهمها كل متكلم باللغة العربية سليم الفطرة...
أما مسألة الكتابان لأبي الحسن الأشعري المذكوران محرفان فعليك بالدليل و البرهان
ليس كلاما ادعائيا يلقى على عواهنه هكذا لأنه لا يسمن و لا يغني من جوع كل باحث عن الحق و الحقيقة...
آه.. تذكرت الشيعي المخرف " حسن السقاف " الذي نعت أبي الحسن الأشعري بأنه مجسم و مشبه لأنه أقر نسبة الكتابين الى صاحبهما...
فانكم و الله لتكذبون كلام الله مع سبق الاصرار و الترصد ...

i wanted to begin learn Maturudi aqeedah, but then i spoke with one guy who blamed Imam Maturudi was misguided. I was literally shocked cuz in our country, most people follow Hanafi mazhab in Fiqh and Imam Maturudi in aqeedah. That was really tough thing to accept, the words which were said, that most followers of our aqeedah are misguided and even Imam Maturudi was misguided as well. So my question here is, in this video tbh i didn't get any evidence, any daleel that Imam Ash'ari and Imam Maturudi rejected Hadeeth. So, if anyone can pls explain it with daleel from their books or the books which explained their writings where they rejected Hadeeth or Qur'an. I am not stating myself as a Maturudi yet, but wanted to see real explanation why salafis believe that he was misguided. Will be patiently waiting for the response from anyone if possible. Appreciate it. Assalamu a'laykum!

@@Halal_Dan Becaz Imam Azam lived before Imam Maturidi. And Imam Maturidi was a true follower of Abu Hanifa and developed kalam within the framework of his madhhab. That is why, starting from the 3rd-4th centuries AH, the Hanafis accepted his teachings and became Maturidites.
All authoritative scholars of the Hanafi madhhab are Maturidi: Imam Samarkandi, Imam Sarahsi, Abul Muin Nasafi, Imam Bazdawi, Abu Hafs Nasafi, Imam Kasani, Imam Margilani, Sirajuddin Ushi, Imam Sabuni, Imam Aini, Abul Barakot Nasafi, Kamal ibn Humam, Imam Taftazani, Mulla Ali Qari, Imam ibn Abidin, Imam Kawsari...
It is impossible to imagine the Hanafi Madhhab without these people, then you will have to completely exclude our Fiqh Madhhab! Imam ibn Abidin, for example, he is “the last word of the Hanafi madhhab,” Hanafis's imam, and he is a Maturidi!

Are there hanafis who are not maturidi?
in modern day hard to find but in the past who actually followed Abu Hanifa’s fiqh and aqeedah were many and they were not Ashari nor Maturudi
Mant Hanafis are Ashari too, but Abu Hanifa was Athari so that makes no sense, they dont truly follow the Salaf

Because they are Maturidis in Aqeedah but hide behind Imām Abu Hanīfah (رحمه الله) in Fiqh even though he was upon the Aqeedah of the Sahābah who are the foremost of the salaf as-sālih.
