- If you shoot at the tires, does it render the wheeled combat vehicle useless?

Good explanation, particularly liked the driving on flats clips 👍
.... and sometimes you want to cross bridges that may not be able to handle larger weights.
I had no idea. Funny, kinda like what BMW did and I love the two piece solution. Thanks!
Why don't they just use solid rubber tires? The tires described are way to complicated and maintenance intensive.
Some vehicles, such as those used in construction, use solid tires. However, in these combat vehicles, it would cause a lot of impact and damage the vehicle, it would be a wagon. It would also make the vehicle heavier.
@@theshellchannelAm also wondering this. Thanks for the explanation!
Tyres also provide cushioning which solid rubber tyres cant.
@slick_96 A "healthy" business model is part of it but there is a lot of chemistry, physics, and engineering that is put into the design of a tire. I am no expert so ill direct you towards youtube or google and you should be able to find the details that your looking for. There are probably many scientific papers out there about different tires or designs for tires.
weight complexity and maintenance is the simple answer. but it still cannot distribute weight or have traction like a track can which is why wheels will never completely replace continuous tracks. Just look at over snow vehicles and other insane offroad vehicles that can go over or through just about anything. they all use tracks.
South Africans and French have interesting wheeled AFV’s.
short tons ... lol
