Plus, I don't know of any vehicle outside of the Abrams and a few Stryker test vehicles where APS was installed. However, if you still think they are APS, then where is the smoke dispenser launchers? Because those are far more useful as concealment and deception and get used more frequently than an APS.

Autonomous snow clearing. I think that remote control Polaris needs some sort of high rating bullet absorbent material. Like thick kevlar in certain key areas. To be capable of blocking some big bullets. You can drive it to blow up a mine, excape while getting shot at, transfering things from one spot to another without having to get in the way. Use it as better cover for gunfire of various degrees. Idk. Seeing all these guys driving around in bulletproof boxes and having autonomous bug rigs plow their airports it's kinda sketchy being the guy in the Polaris. With over 120,000 humvees in our fleets, and only having the budget to buy 2000-3000 JLTVs a year, it's gonna be a few decades. And the commander of the army said even once all is said and done they'll still use the large number of the old humvees for behind the scenes (non combat) roles

I made it to the AAVP and couldn't do it anymore. This is military TV and it is apparent you don't have much of an idea of what you're talking about. The AAVP and griffin both use the same weapons control turret and both have only 2 weapon systems. Now these could have been changed out for different variants, but mostly had a .50 cal and 40mm. The "grenade launchers" you note are smoke grenades for defense.
Everything has its weaknesses brother. If the tires can be filled up faster then bullets can drain them you could theoretically keep going for a while. Maybe even remain at positive pressure long term if you're lucky

They are being phased out, but I believe that is a process that will go all the way until 2050. Until then they will still be used
