Thanks for that Danny, that nuc is booming, recon it will want to swarm early next year!😊 Good idea to get mite strips on, have done the same with my nucs. Would worry too much if you dont take off excess honey from any brood frames, they will come in handy next spring when you make up nucs. (Paynes have got a summer sale on if you need more polynuc boxes) 😊Ta for keeping us updated.
@@eastsussexbeesandwildlife5801 ahh thank you so much for taking the time too watch, it is doing very well but I expect nothing less as it’s the daughter of my original F1 buckfast queen in the other big hive.. Mad a big mistake in which I’m going to sort out later when I get back home.. When editing the video I noticed that the queen has packed out every frame and she has no laying room, need to sort this asap, can’t believe I missed this when doing my inspection…🤦♂️.. what was I up too lol.🤷♂️..like I stated “real time beekeeping” for ya..😂
@@dcleal1 being just a few years older than you, I find that it's easy to miss the eggs as eyesight not as good as it once was, so now have some cheap reading glasses in my veil, the eggs now show like diamonds.😅
Have been curious for a while now on how do you plan to store your empty honey frames bcz you have interchanged the empty honey frames to give the queen room to lay and so on and so forth i asked tht bcz wax moths infestation is a big possibility frames not being stored correctly specially the ones tht had broob in them before they specially prefer those ones so if you havent already you might wanna look into how you can properly store them without losing them to wax moths
@@nimmimankame8727 hi, thanks for watching and commenting, really appreciate it… I will take out what I can and leave what I can, once I take out I will firstly freeze every one of them for around 24/48 hours, that will potentially kill anything in them, then I will either stack them up in my garage in the suppers splitting every 2 with a sheet of codex as if anything was to happen to any of the frames inside the supper box then it would only stop on 2… Also thought about just storing them in a air sealed tub (again after iv frozen them) … also another good thing to do is in the hight of the winter when you now there is going to be a frost is if you can of course put your supper boxes outside so they can get frosted/frozen as that also kills and unwanted problems ready for spring …hope that helps..👍
