Impressive. I still move so slowly when I'm in my bees I couldn't imagine being able to put the bees in mini mating nucs at the speed you were working them. Great seeing the whole process though. Thanks for sharing!
It is a bit overwhelming when they are buzzing around like that.. I have been doing this for many years .. so I just expect it. Thanks for the comment.
Wonderful video. Question: When you add the queen to the mini nuc, you're just adding the queen cell, not the white plastic queel cell protector cage, right? Thank you.
I've taken frames of drawn out wired wax foundation and cut them up to fit the mini nuc frames then used rubber bands from side to side to hold them in place until the bees wax glue them in. Yeah it sacrifices a few frames of comb but it works like a charm.
Ventilated is the say to go for sure. Ensure it is large enough. Don't get too small.The major manufacturers are Ultra Breeze, Guardian, and Oz Armor. I have an Ultra Breeze with metal zippers Fencing style hood. Lots of choices though.
I’m hate to post this but …you must be the worst bee keeper in the country ….Why ?? You ask.. Much to ruff with the bees ..forgot to put your veil back on .. then u did .. never discussed other ways to prevent swarms .. and I wonder how long have u been at this ??
He’s been at this for 25+ years. If you are upset with him for forgetting to close his vail, how mad are you at our commander and chief since we want to bring up this great country? Oh also… go check his other videos… he gives lots of information on swarm control

The white cage won't fit in the mini nuc, so either a cell by itself, or occasionally I use one of the orange protectors.

after opening the entrance , although the bees come from far area about 5 km. Other times they leave the mimic nuc and all bees accumulate in one nuc
