Great tutorial, my left joystick had the same issue after falling from the couch, I was able to fix without replacing the stick, just the reassembly of the stick was a pain, but in the end all worked, thanks!
Thanks man, great tutorial, I appreciate you showing how these operate, mine just broke cause I have a bad habbit of dozing off while sitting down with mine and i kept dropping it as it slipped out of my hands when I would doze off, you'd think I'd learn but now my stick quit working, I imagine it's gonna need replacing. UA-cam is such a helpful took because of people like you! So thankyou really, I don't know what I'd do without these kind of walkthroughs and its easy to take them for granted but it takes effort and time to make these kind of videos and you didn't have to but you did and it's the reason I can fix this myself, so thanks again 👉👉
Thank you very much for the kind words, it's nice to be appreciated! I made this walkthrough specifically so people could follow along and fix their stuff at home, and if you need any more help just reach out.
My mouse cursor constantly moves to the far left and cant move it right. Do you know if that is a right analog stick issue or just software issue? I'm just wondering if i replaced the right stick would fix the issue
@@RetroTekRepairwould it be possible to only install Hall effect on the right and leave the left one stock? I just want my right stick to feel tighter for shooters
You can get one from aliexpress here: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805784981881.html be aware of the slow shipping from China, and if you're in the States you can get one from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CR5QZB4Q Which is where I got the one in the video.

It's very likely to be the stick, in my experience without someone directly changing software it won't just do that by itself.
Wow it ducking works
can u swap the left and right analog sticks?
Yes you can, they are interchangeable.
Is this non hall effect Joystick? Because i watch before some youtuber posting that hallefect mess the left trigger because of the magnet?
That's true, Hall effect joysticks can interfere with the triggers. For this unit I replaced them with the standard potentiometer style.
