Your instructions are very comprehensive. Can’t wait to make another. Made one in the ‘80s when the folded star was all the rage. You make it sooo much simpler. Thanks🙂
Thank you so much for this video! I made several ornaments last year and didn’t do any toppers, just hangers. This year I’m going to try adding toppers! So glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing!
Very beautiful, I think I might be making Christmas presents this year our roof ceiling caved in during this storm in Texas leaky roof and busted pipes. Blessings and Peace ❤️✝️
I'm in the same boat with you. Not only can I not draw a straight line, but trying to make a straight line on these beautiful ornaments is driving me nuts. This set of 3 videos has been very informative for me. Thank You and God Bless you and your family and company!!
Awesome again. I loved all the ideas at the end. I have been doing the 3 rows balls, but now I will be doing the 4 rows. They look so awesome. 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Wow! I have been doing these wonderful ornaments for over a year, finally got to be a digital OG and have done some of the more intricate designs and WHAT do you think? Tonight I finally decided to do the basic star ornament! What fun! Allowed me to relax and remember how to keep 1st and second Sides lined up etc etc etc… I really think everyone should do the basic star once a year or so just to remember the excitement of doing a “1st” again! Can’t wait to see all of everyone’s great Christmas ornaments!
I love your detailed explanation on your videos. I have watched other tutorials a few years ago and put it down because mine were not perfect looking but instead, more lopsided. Thank you for the gift you are passing on to other crafters.
Always wanted to make an ornament, now with your excellent tutorial I have completed my first one. I did dismantle it four times before I was satisfied with my finished star.
I recently discovered your AMAZING channel. I am so inspired to try these. Your teaching skills are superb!!! I received 1 of these ornaments years ago like almost 30 years. I always have wanted to learn how to make them. I think from your teachings I am ready to try. I have all the supplies on hand already. I am so excited!!! THANK YOU!!!
@@TheOrnamentGirl Thank you!!! I will try if I'm not to embarrassed by my work. Hahaha. You are a amazing teacher so I have to give it a try Happy New year!!!
I really like how you explained to make the ornaments. I Just don't know where to look for printed instructions. You said to look below the video. Not having luck locating it. I will admit my 1st ornament didn't turn out perfect but I was pleased for a beginner
OMG, I am obsessed. Ordered some foam balls and fabric. Can’t wait till I get. How do you cut the rectangles? I’m thinking of using my Cricut Maker, but I haven’t cut fabric yet, so a little scared.
Of course! You can find gold pins here: theornamentgirl.com/blog/3mm-gold-brass-beads and gold sequin pins here: theornamentgirl.com/blog/1-inch-shiny-gold-sequin-pins (we usually like to use the 3/4" size).
Nicola... Most of the time the pins hold fine for me, but you could add a tiny bit of clear glue between the hanger and the top bow, and that will keep it secure :)
Love your videos, thanks. However, you never seem to have trouble getting your pins to go into the ball, nor do your fingers seem sore at the ends. I order from your pound supplier of stainless steel pins, and I ordered my foam balls from you. My finger tips are so tender now, and sometimes I have to push my pins in with a tailoring tool that is flat and wide. I am also having trouble with the my pin in the fold peak showing, or creating a dimple of sorts. HELP?
I haven't even finished my first ornament because I got discouraged that I can't seem to be able to hide the tops of the needles. Can you give me any suggestions or tips to help me out with? I don't want to get to the point where I've given up completely because I absolutely love the finished product AND I was planning on selling some at our community's upcoming craft fair. PLEASE HELP ME! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY!!! Best regards, Michele Lejeune
Oh no! I'm so sorry you are having trouble! If you are having problems with the pin head showing, the first thing I would suggest is to move the pin down just a little bit, only a couple of threads will make a huge difference. If you want to send us a picture of what you have so far, you can send us an email to staciann@theornamentgirl.com and we can try to help more.
Thank you for the great tutorials for the no sew quilted ornaments! I’ve watched your bow making tutorial repeatedly...Are you using ribbon that has no back side? The ribbon I have has a shiny side and dull side, is there a different way of making the bow so that only the right (shiny) side is on top? Do I need to twist the ribbon? I’m sorry I’m probably “bow-making-challenged” 😂!
Linda, I know exactly what you're describing! Yes, there is. Rather than twist each loop 'under', you'll actually bring it OVER and then back around to pin (so that the printed side shows on every loop). And I realize that probably makes NO SENSE in words. I have a video showing this.. I will try and get it uploaded to my channel in the next couple of days. It's super easy to do and hopefully seeing the video will help!

Love the ribbons on the front idea.
Wow, I’m definitely trying these for my Xmas tree this year.

I’ve been coming back to these videos every year now (as a refresher). I love making them for spur of the moment gift giving. Thanks again!
These 3 videos are the best tutorials I have viewed. You do a spectacular job with instruction. TY!
Thank you, I appreciate that so much!! I'm really glad you liked them. :)
I been making them too. Except still have to make a perfect line. Thank you they are easy once you master the process.

Great videos! I know I can do this! They are a great confidence builder for this art.

Fabulous teacher, best I have learned from…. I just tool a class 😫 and you just saved me from a lot of mistakes I would have made.
Very pretty
Found your tutorial clear and concise. Now I just need to put it into practice.
You are a wonderful teacher and so enjoyed watching your videos.

Your a genius! I always had a roblem with the bows. This is great. Keep the videos coming.

I love your videos
I love making these ornaments! Thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial!
Thank you for the clear instructions. Do you ever use a bit of glue to hold down any parts, especially the hangar?
You can! We don't usually, especially with lighter ornaments. If the ornament is particularly heavy, then a dab of glue can be helpful.

What brand and size are your little gold pins with which you add beads?
Love the Video!!!
Wonderful! What size are the beads? Anyone have a link?
Would love the link to the Christmas Tree ornament. Love your tutorials.
Amazing tfs

Do you ever fabric glue the trim going around to cover up each side of the raw edge?
Can you share a link of where you got your gold pins and beads please
Of course! You can find gold pins here: theornamentgirl.com/blog/3mm-gold-brass-beads
and gold sequin pins here: theornamentgirl.com/blog/1-inch-shiny-gold-sequin-pins
(we usually like to use the 3/4" size).
Could you tell me what size gold mm bead you use with the gold sequin pins please?
Yes, of course! I like to use 3mm gold beads.
Do you find the pins hold the ornament well? I made one and my hanger and the pins it was attached to ended up loose.
Nicola... Most of the time the pins hold fine for me, but you could add a tiny bit of clear glue between the hanger and the top bow, and that will keep it secure :)

Is fabric tax glue needed to seal the top bows?
We don't seal our ribbons in any way, but you can always do that if you are worried about them fraying.
Hi. I looked for your gallery link but didn’t find it. Has it been removed?
I see you sell the small jingle bells on your website and was wondering if you have any ideas where to get more colors?
I sure don't... my supplier only provides the colors I have. Sorry! But you may be able to do a Google search if you're looking for a specific color.
I haven't even finished my first ornament because I got discouraged that I can't seem to be able to hide the tops of the needles. Can you give me any suggestions or tips to help me out with? @@TheOrnamentGirl thank you so much for your time!!! I'll try that and, if I still can't get it, then I'll send you a picture.
What size pearl bead did you use?
what is the best width for the ribbon
Carol, I like to use 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" for bows.

The pattern for the blue ch. Tree
How come you didn't glue the hanging pins in.
Sometimes I do put a dab of glue under that pin for a little extra security.
