    Why do they even bother to bring guests onto these shows when all they ever do is cut them off and attempt to belittle them with zero facts and very limited research? Nash came off as an absolute gentleman here. The only reason these shows brought wrestlers on was to try and get them riled up to the point they would get angry and yell, and then admit to using steroids. The fact is, there is and was never going to be one simple answer as to why Benoit did what he did. Steroids may have been one reason, but I guarantee if it was, it was only a small part of it. We will never know for sure.

    • @jarrodmurdoch8866
      @jarrodmurdoch8866 10 років тому +9

      I agree, that is exactly the point they were trying to use too. Bring in a semi-popular older wrestler who most likely has experience with steroids and cut them off and belittle them and try and get them to over-react and make a fool out of them with the situation.

      Steroids can kill people with long term use causing heart and muscle problems. Steroid Rage is a meth. But Concussions can affect a person's mood and Benoit was affected by his damaged brain causing him to go crazy enough to murder his wife and son.

    Kevin Nash was walking into a massive ambush with that interview, and I really think he handled himself the best he could. Fox was out for blood. Nash was intelligent, reasonable, looking at facts, and calm…Chris killed his son 24hrs after his wife it definitely wasn't a fit of rage it was some what calculated. I think most reasonable people now understand this tragically was the cause by someone who was very mentally ill as a result of many concussions/brain injuries-trauma. Studies show he had the brain of a 80 yr old dementia patient, however that story isn't sexy. What Chris did was horrific.

      The real truth D0ntTaseM3Br0 is that is that Chris Beniot suffered concussions from long term wrestling. They did an autopsy showed that Beniot's brain had been through serious concussions making his brain of an old man. The Steroids were there for his pain and performance. But Steroids were responsible for the death of Eddie Guerrero (with cocaine too), Mr. Perfect (with cocaine too), Macho Man Randy Savage (who died before he lost control of his car but his wife survived), and British Bulldog Davyboy Smith. These men died in their late 30's and 50's.

    According to Chris Jericho in his book "Undisputed", Benoit and his wife had been having marital problems for a while. She wanted a divorce and he wouldn't let her for the sake of their son. On top of that, Benoit was addicted to caffeine which from what I understand, can cause paranoia and hallucinations if taken in massive doses the way Benoit did. Throw in pressure from the WWE and the fact that soooo many of Benoit's friends were dying suddenly and so closely, and you got a ticking timebomb.

    Concussions, plus all the supplements he's taken (including steroids) in the past, & broken marriage means that there was a lot of anger involved in the household that no one really knew about. All these things mixed together, led up to this tragic situation. Like Chris Jericho has said on Larry King Live, it's not just caused by one thing, but a lot of many factors that ultimately caused something bottled up inside to just explode.

    Nash took a dump right on Fox news this interview. First of all they tried to degrade him by calling him "big sexy" his in ring name. They thought they had an easy target for them to look smart and Nash knew what he was talking about and threw it back in their face and tried to rush him off the air when they were wrong. It pisses me off that they have such a strong influence on news.

    now id say nash handled himself against these two clowns! they tried everything to rattle him but he answered everything calmly . theres no secret about roids or illegal drugs in pro wrestling there everywhere being used by almost everyone past and present. so to try to get one old time wrestler to come on and try to pressure him to quote on quote admit or spill the beans that theres a still a roid and drug problem because of the benoit situation is foolish.
    FYI chris benoit is a jerkoff for what he did regardless of what happened

    I agree with Kevin Nash Correlation doesn't mean causation if Benoit had been having marital problems and consuming alcohol who is to say he hadn't just snapped. The "roid rage theory" is compelling but also pretty shallow to think that was just the main reason also the blonde lady wouldn't let Nash explain his side of the argument I imagine they thought we could get this big dumb guy and sink his theory even though that wasn't the case Kudos to Nash for being honest and sharing his beliefs
