    They're not serial killers. They were driven insane by their monster parents. They have served their time and are rehabilitated. It's time to set them free.. 🙏🙏

      In almost any other country in the West they would have been released by now, on parole at least. Only in the United States are people regularly given insane whole-of-life sentences. In almost every other country that's reserved for the very worst of the very worst, the people who will always be a threat to society if they are ever released. Most murderers don't fit into this category.

    People will never know how abuse affects someone's state of mind unless they experience it themselves. 💔 I wasn't SA'd, but I faced emotional abuse from my mom throughout my childhood up until college. It impacted me mentally, leading to moments when I couldn't escape having bad thoughts. I can’t imagine how much menendez brothers have suffered from their parents, especially from their dad. I endured abuse as well, but their situation was far worse. I hope they will get the freedom they deserve.

      Yes I was emotional abused by my alcoholic parents, my father a bit more as my mother died when I was 17 yrs. old. It really caused a lot of emotional/Psychiatric problems. I've been therapy for45 yrs. off and on,medication,,outpatient programs, support groups, and hospitalizations. Yes, they helped, even having some forgiveness helped the damage was done, and there scars, which is there is no cure.. I feel that this negatively affected the 3 past relationships I had, and it their issues too. I feel better and safer living alone and of course more peaceful. I have friends and church, and my laptop. The thing is I'm doing the best I can."you can't change the past, so why let haunt to. You can't face the future, but you have to want to "Pat Benatar. Sexual abuse, I didn't have, and my goes out to Lyle and Eric. I hope they free of prison soon.

      @@lauren1779 I agree I mean poor Erik couldn’t even go away to college with out his dad demanding he stay at home half the week. I bet he counted the seconds he turned of age to be able to finally leave and that was shut down by his dad and the money factor his dad had it all and would threaten to boot him out with nothing if he didn’t obey his demands and after growing up wealthy like that where you had everything but never your own money or decisions that would be a horrific situation for anyone so he had no rational choice but to obey. I bet it was terrible for Eric to have to come back after being away half the week I’m sure that only lasted a short time before the brothers snapped and when Lyle found out what was going on I’m sure the plan began to end the abuse themselves it’s been enough time served they are rehabilitated and very stable to be let back in society to live out the rest of their life’s and not harm no one. Imagine the good they can do now there’s a huge range of places and programs that need real grown healed and caring survivors to help others who are currently experiencing acute family abuse nowadays and may need people to learn and lookup too

    7:00 he says "that's because we have laws" well you know what? So many times Justice makes mistakes and fails, they didn't have a fair trial, they had so many evidence of abuses, and the judge sucked. Even the jury said after trial: "if we knew everything that they told in first trial everything would be different" is not the same 15 or 20 years, at least they being together in same prison, that 30+ years without parole. The prosecutor Pamela literally said on trial: "Men can't be raped" what kind of Justice is that?

    • @wellthisisinteresting4912

      It’s because the Judge didn’t allow the the defence to present their full case in the second trial. So many of the witnesses were not allowed to testify, including family and experts that evaluated the brothers, as well as the other corroborating evidence such as the nude photos, medical records, etc.
      this is because the judge was biased and wanted a conviction for the brothers. The fact that OJ Simpson had just gone free made the public very angry with the ‘justice system’ so the judge needed a conviction to look good.
      It’s horrible

    • @cinnxmxnslayer
      @cinnxmxnslayer Місяць тому +16

      That's because the judge, who was the same judge from the first trial, ruled he wouldn't accept the abuse as part of the defense. After OJ walking free, they wanted to hang the brothers to show strength.

      @calvthomas6153 Місяць тому +5

      Right. The aunt's testimony used in the first trial was not allowed in the second trial either. She confirmed two things with her testimony. 1) she was told by one of the brothers at 8yr's old, that he was being touched. 2) That she took him to his mother to report what she had been told, and the mother wouldn't accept it seeming like she already knew. This had the potential to allow them to be charged with Manslaughter at the very least. But without that information being relayed to the jury it was either murder or nothing. The jury went with the straight murder charge because they did commit murder.

No one that was around back then who were was part of the hidden truth on Jose’s camp is around nowadays so there’s no reason to keep these guys locked up anymore. Sadly money corruption bought by money and the shame it would have brought to Jose’s business empire he was close too prevailed back then and they were shut up locked up and nobody was ever held accountable for any of Jose’s evil wrongdoings because you know dam well even after the murders the would have been at least one person who was still trying to keep it all under lock and key because so much money and other peoples careers were connected to Jose’s business side of it all. And in the early 90’s the amount of money and business dealings Jose and his empire was flowing in could be compared to the Amazon empire wealth and connections nowadays in my opinion

    What people need to realise, these corrupt acts the parents inflicted on them was wayyy more taboo back then. The phrasing during the trials tells you this much: 'sex with your father' rather than 'raped/molested by your parents'. Even if they had come out and confessed, they would have not been believed and reduced to a laughing stock. Erik probably would have taken his life, and the whole thing could have unfolded much differently. Even after all these years, their stories have remained consistent, family members even testified- and it still wasn't enough because back then the societal view of things such as rape and molestation involving men were not topics of discussion-it was avoided like the plague.

    They were brainwashed with fear and killed their abusers. A life for a life in my opinion. Their parents tortured and killed their heart and innocent souls the day their father raped them and the mother knew and stood by and did nothing and both parents continued to do so day after day, week after week, month after month for many many years.
    Murder is not the answer BUT... sometimes for tortured and abused victims , especially kids and young adults, it seems like its the only way out. They say at 18 and 20 of age they should have known better, but c'mon! Even now as a 40yr old I can honestly say for myself that looking back on myself at 18yrs of age, the things I did was just stupid and that I was still a literal kid by terms of ways of thinking etc. Just because the law labels you as an adult at 18 does not mean that you have the maturity and mental capacity of an adult especially if you have been mentally and physically abused and brainwashed as these brothers have since childhood. They did their time, 35yrs is enough. Free them and let them heal and live whatever life they have left.

    For those that say abuse does not excuse murder thats because so many men do this, maybe their afraid, but more sickening, their devoid of how abuse is violent. Those parents died almost instantly, while the boys abuse was methodical, sadistic and even worse being boys. It makes me seethingly sick how people want to look at that like it was nothing. Their parents created a slow painful death to their children's souls.

      Easier said than done. Abused victims feel trapped and feel like they physically cannot leave without the creeping of fear of their abuser killing them in the process. If you’ve never been a victim of abuse, you will be stuck with that narrow mind thinking.

    I’m feeling quite speechless here. This aired Oct 18, 2024. On 20/20. I’ve checked out other platforms that are showing the movie done about this horrific crime/real life story. I’m getting quite the picture. Those who are stating that the men have actually found Jesus Christ better be 💯% authentic because they’re now representing Jesus’s reputation. 🙏🤦‍♀️🫢PLEASE DEAR JESUS HELP THESE MEN HEAL IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. I’m asking for this intervention in your precious divine name Jesus Christ Almighty God. Amen.

    These boys were abused and need release . I have experienced abuse in my family . My mother stabbed me because I wouldn’t eat my scrambled eggs . My mother rushed me to the hospital and I blacked out on they . My mother blamed it on a neighbor child to stal out of jail . My mother told me if I didn’t say it was my neighbor she would go to jail . I was scared of my mother and changed my story because of fear of her . She got away with it . I always hated my mother but never thought of murder of her . Just extreme hatred. I didn’t know how to kill let at my age . These men I understand abuse and family cover up stuff . Who tough these boys how to murder ? Most children don’t know this concept. Boys had to be advanced children . W/ much pain.
    If these men are released then others will have to be resentenced too because you can not discriminate against others whom made mistakes as well.
