Thanks for doing these. I have over 5,000 hours in PoE and I still watch your videos to get a refresher.
Been watching these each time they come out; one day I'll absorb enough from them that I'll actually start to understand this game. Thanks for making them.
One thing that would be good to clarify is that the DoT multipliers are additive with each other rather than multiplicative. Seen some people here and there in twitch chats thinking they were separate multipliers.
easy solution; if a modifier is local, mark it with a letter "l" at the end of the description, if a modifier is global, mark it with a "g" at the end. Would help new players a lot.
Or just make Alt show if it's (Local) or (Global) besides the mod tags.
No, no, no that would ruin the game, yes, yes, yes why every noob on the block and even some causal occasional mid-range players might actually come to understand what's going on and make the end game less demanding and uber dubber . . .
No, no, no we certainly can't have that, come on, where's the benefit, think of all the new players that will flood the servers and create a larger game base and maybe longer load times for the rest of us few . . .
No, no, no GGG, you'll destroy the game for our so close knit community of insiders and PoE game degreed elder experts and leet uber dubber hc bosser killas, . . . nah, nah, nah ya gotta pay ya endless dues, and just keep trying to git gud ;-)
Remember: its half league, half league, half a league onward . . . so keep galloping you brave noble riders, what are a few minor hindrances to your ultimate progress, just a few more countless hours of mindless but really fun grinding for glory and finally you reach the end, well at least a new league to begin the charge anew.
@@HerrTikTok This. Now I’ve been playing since 2014 and the only reason I now know how things work is because of frens in higher places. Learned absolutely nothing from 66..GGG’s* favoured way of trial n error, but instead got rather discouraged and quit for a couple leagues.
Unless you’re willing to sit through entire days of stream vods to learn this shit because the creators can’t just streamline certain things in a more intuitive way and basically hint toward the important bits, you’re likely not gonna have a good experience.

@@dingdongspaghetti w'at bro, yo, ya, yo bro yolo . . . so, do I really need an advanced college degree in GGGPoE-ism to play the silly game, seriously. Played enough at this point to know its really not for me . . . I honestly don't think the devs really have a handle on what to do with their game and all the smiles from Chris and the devs and hype from streamers won't change that . . . but I could be wrong but I'm not hanging around any longer to find out . . . there are too many other games to experience while I still can. My hats off to you and the rest, I guess we all need to have faith in something, right.
This should really help a lot of new players. Thanks for always being a great ambassador for our favorite game!
Tips for beginner+ guide:
After running alot of maps, catching bosses for the maven and fighting them in her arena- I have met the Searing Exarch, Infinite Hunger and Eater of Worlds.. Never found or unlocked any other bosses. (havent played too much, but got like lvl 92 last league). I found some conqueror bosses before the map rework. Dont know if they are still there.
However after this I have no idea how to progress with bosses. I one time got a Minotaur map or something "shaper influenced" thing - But dont remember them doing anything...
A guide of what to do to actually find end game bosses - a guide for noobs on how to unlock and fight bosses. I have seen many guides on how to fight them, but that doesnt help when i have no idea how to find them.
Thank you SOO much for updating this with new leagues! My friend has tried to get me into path for years and I always start a league and quit before I even get to maps simply bc the story reaches a point where things start demolishing me and I have no clue what is going on anymore. It’s typically bc I don’t have an understanding of items beyond looking at my build guide and asking my friend questions constantly, so this just helps tremendously and I’m confident this is the season the game will click and steal my soul ;))
Thanks for this Video Series. I play PoE for a little over 2 Years now and finally understand how Items & gearstats work. The length of the Videos are perfect. I hit end of Yellow maps in Sentinel for the first time. Keep it up man ❤
Great information! I was buying some wands and didn't know "add lightning" was useless and what I needed was "add lightning to spells".

This is great for new players. I learned one thing from this when it comes to global and local modifiers. Although I knew some of them. I did learn about others and it's greatly appreciated. Thank you sir for all your content.
can the next (or next next) tutorials be about all the new end-game "mode" and how the high-level crafting work? I'm a return player and totally get confuse what to do after the acts.

Regarding the local vs global. My impression (or at least way to memorize) is that they first did the auto attack. Everything was tied together on the weapon, no conflicts, no nothing. Physical skills also didn't changed that. The wording issue began with elemental skills. And later with elemental damage added to spells. And they didn't had the man power to rewrite stuff. And well, is worded this way since so long... the players are used to.... no benefit for reword stuff... right? But well, if it is something related to the physical attack of the weapon, usually is local, if is not, global. (I may be wrong, but someone will correct me :P)

I might be stupid but why can't they write "X% increase to BASE crit chance for spell" wouldn't that make more sense ? When i was a noob i remember falling for the 100 crit chance thingy
I've been struggling a lot with understanding gear and how to upgrade my gear .. this will halp a lot in understanding how to craft stuff as I don't do any trading

Thank you Ziz for your teaching videos, I so appreciate it. I have been playing for several years and yes I learned a lot from videos but there’s still so much I don’t understand ( and no, I am not low IQ but probably definitely lesser than yours).
I never been able to reach lvl 100, highest was lvl 93, by then I usually give up due to frustration of dying.
Is it simply the skill of actually playing the game or knowing the mechanics?!

a lot people say yellow items bad to pick up meanwhile i still found 10-100ex wands xD
they introduce minion specific items next league, why dont we have wands and ceptres yet that favour caster or attack rolls by default... its so hard to craft decent attack wands or spell cepters...
more increased damage, got it!

This is big accessibility problem. Ziz or anyone should not be required to understand all this. Game as complex as poe should have everything explicitly stated in descriptions with color codes and icons ideally.

Was getting tired of diablo so I thought about trying this game. After about 3 videos I said fuck this. Way too much crap in this game
