      Thalanox unfortunately I don’t have to remember them, I know people who still wear them. But it’s a pouch for putting crap out of your pockets in, not for stuffing two bottles of Mountain Dew in so you have plenty to drink while you’re watching the mud drags with your family full of mullets

    That inspiration was not lost. I have made several things with leather in the past few weeks. From a couple bags, a sheathe and handle for a knife that I smithed out of a flat head screw driver, and a few dream catchers. Omg I have been in love. Who knew leather working would be so fun? :D

    That fork for hammering thread holes is a great idea. I just finished making a leather quiver and I used a dart head to make the initial hole, before widening it with a thick nail just to get the needle through. It was painstaking!

    Love the berrow you took the leather out of, I always like leather work that is why I always look for old leather purses at the second hand store or leather that would be discarded I keep it. I have a leather hip pack on my wheelchair and the only thing that seems to be giving is the belt that holds the pack it's some kinda strap but when it breaks I'm going to a leather belt to buckle to the wheelchair right under my leg.
    If that pack was to get really old I would have to send it in to custom make the samething

    How did you knotted the thread for the needle so fast?

    • @jaymoge
      @jaymoge 5 років тому

      It's not a knot. He threads the waxed tread then pulls the needle down far enough to then poke through the center of the thread, the way you would poke a hole in a garden hose, then pulls that end over the eye of the needle. No bulky knot and slip knot secure.
