Blondies are one of the simplest, tastiest baked goods you can make. These blondies are perfectly dense, rich, and fudgy with a paper-thin crinkly top. Use dark brown sugar, if you have .Use warm melted butter.

The original recipe does not call for baking soda or baking powder because these are intended to be dense, fudgy, and chewy. If you need a little more lift in your blondies, add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of baking powder
The one thing to keep in mind when baking blondies or brownies is that they will continue cooking after being removed from the so make sure you allow them to cool completely in the baking pan before removing them and cutting them into squares. This cooling time helps the middle to set correctly.

I finally made these. These are probably the best blondies I've had. Blondie is short for blonde brownie, and these perfectly fit that description. They have the same appearance and texture as brownies, with the shiny top and dense and fudgy interior, but made with brown sugar and vanilla. Other blondies I've tried felt more like a cookie, not a brownie, so I was truly wowed by these. Finally, blondies that are literally blonde brownies! The only thing I would add is some salt, as I feel they could use a little. These blondies are exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you!

Yes, add pecans
I love how you add the chocolate chips with the flour before mixing. There's no need to mix in the flour first, then the chips. In fact it's unwise as it may result in unintentionally overmixing the batter.

Great, a blonde recipe that doesn't have a crazy amount of sugar like 2 cups. This amount is reasonable.

If ur white then 200g is reasonable
I don't think is reasonable, 200g sugar for only 190g flour, plus you forget about the sugar in chocolate chips, where more than 50% is sugar, that means you'll have 300 grams of sugar for a small sized sweet 😅

add 1/2 cup warm butter
mix immediately
1+1/2 cup flour

It's supposed to be quite dense like a brownie but if you want something more fluffy, you do you, and add leavening agents.

when I tried to make blondies, the brown sugar and butter wouldn’t cream properly. I’m not sure why. I kept the butter in the fridge and then microwaved it.
Don’t microwave the butter . It will not cream then. Keep it outside the fridge for half an hour until it is soft and then work with it
I think you have to wait for the butter to cool down as well? Something about it won't hold the shape properly
I love blondies and brownies. If I were to make this it would have to be double batches it wouldn't last long.

I tried it today and the same happened
wym they melted? they’re baking. of course they’re going to melt in the oven. the end result was when it cooled and the chocolate chips hardened again if that’s what you’re referring to
did you use chocolate chips or chunks? if you mean that the chocolate didn't hold its shape, you probably used chunks of chocolate, which do melt and spread when heated. chocolate chips, on the other hand, stay the same shape in the oven. but if you used chips idk what happened haha

I tried this recipe (double) and turned out to be bland. Though I added 1/3 cup white sugar because I saw comments that this is bland hahahah

I followed the recipe to the letter, left out the baking powder bc I wanted them more fudgy and chewy. The blondies were bland. My daughter agrees. 😕
