Thank you. I have the exact same washer/problem. Called a repairman and it was going to be $300+ now I'll just fix it myself. You're a wallet saver, thank you from a single mom needing to save money.
You explained this wonderfully! My washer stopped filling up with water and kept giving me LF error! I ordered the part off amazon and saved the video for when it gets here! Thank you so much
After watching this video I ordered the part for our Maytag washer and was able to replace the part. watching made it a lot easier and saved me a big repair bill I spent 39.00 dollars total
Listen, I believe in giving a guy credit when it's due....and you deserve plenty!!!! I was struggling to find a video my washer AND instructions on how to get the console off. You did both and then some....I owe you a beer (and a few bucks)! You saved my wallet a few dollars. Thanks!
Please help I have this same exact washer, it smells bad and I know the water doesn't completely drain out I can move the tub and I hear water swishing in there. I told the repair man about this and he acted like that it's normal and didn't do anything about it and is there a filter I need to check?
Thanks to this video my wife and I were able to correctly diagnose and fix the leaking issue in our washer. It was squealing and leaking water whenever the water ran and when we removed it we found out that it was filled with sediment and debris. Very helpful video that helped save us a few hundred bucks. Thanks again.
This is a great video that helped me save hundreds of dollars. Appreciate the help and perfect directions. Solved the problem of our Maytag washer constantly dripping water into the drum nonstop. Thanks!!
Great video! Based on the comments these inlet valves go bad a lot so you are saving people a lot of money. A lot of people have had a problem getting the wire connectors off and I came close to giving up because I couldn't get any of them off no matter how much I wiggled and pulled. I finally used a fairly large flat head screwdriver right up in that gap in the middle and gave it a couple of gentle taps with a hammer and they came right off.
Excellent job on your video! Watching video helped me get our Maytag washer back in service with your handy tips on water inlet valve repair. I found cold water valve not opening all the way so I swapped control wires to warm water valve and now washer is filling correctly. Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Kudos and thanks. This was spot on. Those top console tabs were a b%$ch to pop off. I didn’t have enough strength in my fingers to compress them, so instead I was able to push one end with a screwdriver from the top by removing the metal back of the console. It was held with 5 quarter inch hex screws. That seemed a lot easier to see, plus no contortion under the lid and behind the basket. The oem valve was $26 next day delivery from Amazon with 10 year guarantee. Maytag wanted $112 plus shipping. My Maytag model was MVWB865GW0 and looked identical to the one in the video. The machine was only 3 years old when the hot water valve started leaking because it wasn’t completely shutting off. This new machine replaced a 35 year old Kenmore that I took out of service still working perfectly as a gift to the queen to modernize. She wants to kill me now. This top of the line Maytag doesn’t clean as well, leaves soap in the clothes and was very expensive. The only repair I made to the Kenmore was to replace the mechanical timer unit that wore out after about 25 years. I could have replaced the mechanical transmission, bearings and motor and had plenty of money left over. Now I know why laundromats keep the old mechanical machines. The new ones suck.
The Bravos XL and some other commercial HE models are the same layout (Mine is MVW765FW0) and this video was so helpful! While we didn't have a leak, we got the LF error and no water was coming in. Upon inspection, the input lines were working but we found the cold cylinder valve had a slight crack in it and would fail diagnostics. Replacing the water inlet valves did the trick!!! Thanks again.
This is my washer and your directions are awesome! However, we are still having a major issue getting the pins pushed in! Taking a break for tonight and will try again tomorrow!! Thank you for all of this though.
Commenting to bump this video in the search engine. This was exactly what I needed to solve my LF message on mine. Saved me a ton of money. I owe you a beer my guy.
For those struggling to get the connectors off, I took a tiny flathead and put it on the top of the connector where it looks like a white "T" and tapped on the back end of the screwdriver. Only thing that worked to get those off. Wiggling wasn't cutting it.
I have a Bravos XL washer and looks just like your commercial one and I have the same leak. I found your video helpful to get the control panel off. Got my part ordered from your link and had a coupon code for 10% off on the page to apply to it as well. Thank you for your video!
Thanks for this Video! I would never have found how to access the water inlet valves. The hard part was to get the wire connectors off without damaging them. My washer would only let a small amount of water in. I replaced the water valve and that fixed it.
Thanks for the vid. My machine wouldn’t fill, showing a LF error code. It would shut down. I ordered a replacement water valve (Amazon for around $40) and installed it in about 20 minutes. Next time it’ll take half that time. Biggest challenge was releasing the clips (couldn’t get my paws up in there so carefully used a blade from the top to release). It now works. I loved saving the $300 + it would have cost otherwise.

Can not get to the left pin. In video you show the right side and there is a little black box there but it’s not in the way you can still pinch that super easy. I changed the inlet valve and washer started working. Now it seems like something else is wrong. The countdown timer is erratically going down, up, down, up... it's also filling the tub more that normal. Any idea what else I need to do?
Great video. I purchased the water inlet valve and was able to try and replace it. The problem I was having trouble with is that the rubber gaskets seem like they are not fitting in well. They push up further on the piece, so I tried taking them off and putting them in the holes. Then I put the inlet valve on. I bought mine used a few weeks ago... Was running ok as far as I know. Today I been testing different cycles and its not filling up at all. I set it to normal then lihht soil level and it goes back n forth from sensing to wash then eventually goes to done. Any ideas??
Our washer won't fill with enough water on any setting except deep water wash and it has to be on extra heavy soil. But when we use that setting the agitator won't work correctly. If we use any other setting the agitator works but it won't fill up with enough water. Would a new inlet valve fix this issue?
So my washer is dripping water into the washer filling it up by just dripping little by littlein 2 days of no use it is almost half way full would this bee the same Valve that needs to be replaced?

H9w do I replace the filter to this washing machine?
So I have a Maytag Top and it staying stuck on the sensing light when I try to start a load, I was told by a repair guy that I need to replace those Same Valves? ANYBODY have any advice"
My Maytag Bravos XL will not stop filling up with water. I have to turn off the machine for it to drain all the water. Any idea what is causing the problem? I think it's the main control board possibly or water level switch? 🤔
Wish I could be of some help to you but ive never seen that happen .
@@stevescoolstuff126 okay ty. I will figure it out somehow.
@@rahzvlogs2994 ours is doing the same thing, service guy said it was the water inlet valve. Purchased on Amazon, 34.99. I'm going to try this on our bravos xl and see if it works.
I have the same exact one and problem. Can you tell what part number you used?
There is an Amazon link in the description.
I bought mine used a few weeks ago...
Was running ok as far as I know. Today I been testing different cycles and its not filling up at all.
I set it to normal then lihht soil level and it goes back n forth from sensing to wash then eventually goes to done. Any ideas??
Sorry I don’t have an answer for that.
If you bought yours a few weeks ago then you should have warranty
Thank you so much bro !
Our washer won't fill with enough water on any setting except deep water wash and it has to be on extra heavy soil. But when we use that setting the agitator won't work correctly. If we use any other setting the agitator works but it won't fill up with enough water.
Would a new inlet valve fix this issue?
I honestly don’t know but read through the rest of the comments and see if anyone else said that fixed it for them
So my washer is dripping water into the washer filling it up by just dripping little by littlein 2 days of no use it is almost half way full would this bee the same Valve that needs to be replaced?
More than likely
@@stevescoolstuff126 Great! Will start working on it. Thanks
Thank you❤
Can you share part number? My machine is Maytag commercial mvwb765fw0 Looks EXACTLY like yours. I’m getting “compatible” part numbers and worry it actually may not be. When I look into details my machine model number is NOT listed as compatible. So not sure why it’s coming back as compatible. Given you can still answer this question. Thanks again.
ty helped alot made job easy
Helpful indeed
Does anyone know how to replace the Thermistor Sensor?
I have the same machine and it does not distribute water at all. Could replacing this same part fix my problem?
I'm not sure but it would be cheap to try.
Great video, but where is the link to the replacement part? I see in the comments you say to click on the down arrow and click read more??? What arrow..
Right next to the title of the video
Can you give me a tip on how to disconnect the inlet connectors! They are tight and I can't get them loose.
Forget about it! I got them disconnected! They were tough. So if someone else after me has trouble you really need to wiggle them left to right until they losen up!
Oh and sorry about my manners: Thank you very much for doing this video!!
Mine will turn on but then dings and turns off! Any chance you have a repair video for this issue?? Have EXACT same machine! TIA!
Sorry. I have no idea what that could be.
