Just wanna share this real quick. After that long maintenance we had a couple of weeks ago, the Inhaler price on my server pretty much reset back to 10k each. I've managed, somehow, to sell 80 and made about 500k in 3 hours lmao
Hahaha that’s so awesome! Inhalers are definitely one of my favorite items in Dragonflight
Bought 30k snowballs off the AH when they were selling from 50 silver to 2g. Taking awhile to unload them back on to the AH.
Also if you have that one snow bear mount it drops snowballs off the back of it. With a second account you can run your character on the mount into a wall and just pick up snowballs off the ground. You can make 2k gold in less than 5 minutes
Yea I wish I had snowstorm :(
Genius idea!!
There is a classic engineering toy box item called Snowmaster 9000. It’s a 24 hour cooldown, but it is a way to make snowballs for super cheap (uses refreshing spring water).
Definitely worth picking up next winter veil.
Snowmaster needs to just be reworked a little so that it acts like a cross between the Weather Machine Toys and the Snow-Bear mount that spits out free ones. Make it a Toy that makes it snow in the area for 2hours creating snow piles randomly within ~100 yards.
You actually can buy the recipe from the auction house. In my server it was not very expensive, probably because the winter veil is just behind us
Great vid as always penguin! I've been making soo much gold with the Empty Soul Cages, it's funny not a lot of ppl know about them. All JCs rave about illimited diamond cuts and lariats and rings but the soul cages (and some other consumables) are a great market.
Thank you Eli!
Thank you very much for a super informative video, Penguin. Thanks to your videos on selling food, bags and inhalers, I reached my first million and obtained Francois! Will check out old-world bags as I thought logically those things wouldn't sell.
Ayy that’s awesome! Congrats on the million and Francois !!! I hope the bags work out for you, it’s crazy what sells haha
@@Penguinr2gt can confirm that on my Oceanic server, I am able to sell at least 10 deep sea bags every day for a good profit. Will ramp it up and see what the upper limit is. It is crazy!
There you go! We love those deep sea bags!
Hey Penguin, big fan of your work here on youtube. Thx to your tips I'm a millionair now :D. I even got two accounts now. Two things I would recommend adding to your goldmaking tactics: 1) White transmogs: Since last patch you can transmog white items. I've been selling old Shadowlands legendary gear now, like Shadowghast (got this from theLazygoldmaker) around 100-200% profit margins. 2) Recipe flips: Some BIS raiding epic gear crafting recipes might be (very) cheap. Bought some for 400g and sold them for 20-50k, for example.
Hey that’s awesome to hear and yes, both of these methods are great! I’ve sold some legos myself but they just don’t perform that well on my server (but people are making millions from them which is great), also I do some flipping as well!
Good tips! But I think it’s difficult to know which white transmog sells well and which recipe you can flip for how much. Hope you get what I mean ^^
I totally knew you were going to say bags :p
Thanks Penguin this will be very profitable in my server (OCE). BTW is there an addon to help with finding high peaks/flags?
If you have handy notes for Dragonflight they show up as little green flags on your map… that’s the only thing I’ve personally used. Or you can use TomTom and copy and paste the waypoints from the article in the description
Hi Penguin! When you are crafting cooking recipes, how many do you craft? Do you craft a bulk with 100 or do you craft Even more of those recipes?
I generally craft anywhere between 500-1000 crafts at a time
I'm just going through old expansions and evaluating what is worth selling, I haven't restock a lot of stuff since DF launched. And I got rid of stuff that doesn't sell.
That’s great! Everyone should take the time to evaluate their stock and see what they can add/remove
Bags have been the only thing I can consistently make profit on - it gets reset every 3-4 weeks and I can sell dozens of DF bags for 120+ gold before the nubs undercut it back down to 20g but still worth it at 20g
What add-on are you using to show the profit / cost to craft?
The "To Craft: " is from Auctionator, the profit window is from CraftSim
what addon/wa is that that tells you how much a craft will cost?
The “to craft: “ is from Auctionator! The profit is from CraftSim
how do you enable this recipe search button? on auctionator
It should show automatically, but you do have to have the auction house and crafting menu open at the same time. This can only happen if you have the addons Blizzmove and Demodal
Someone bottomed out the inhalers on my server, there's 150 selling at 20g profit :(
I actually didnt know sturdy shovels were a thing. They sound really convenient
They truly are!
Dang you discovered my duck secret. Been selling 1-2 a week pretty much since launch.
Love the ducks!
i made almost all my gold from selling food, been trying to sell soul cages for a while but its so hard to sell these i gave up. might try to sell them again if they are profitable now :D
We love cooking here!!! And I hope the soul cages work out for you!
@@Penguinr2gt tbh i discovered blubbery muffins through you! but people sleep on cooking for sure
Spent just over an hour ice fishing today, got 225 Frosted Rimefin Tuna (and some other stuff), posted them at 27g each and they sold out within an hour. Best thing is, it's pure profit. Yes, it's boring. But at 6k gold an hour, I'm prepared to deal with a little boredom...that's why booze was invented.
i watch youtube videos while fishing lol
Easier to craft or farm souls with that time tbh for way more profit
Margin on bags is ok but the volume just isn’t high enough. Even with regular cancel scanning I will typically only sell c50 wildercloth bags a day
It all comes down to personal preference, if you don't think its worth your time, you dont have to spend time selling it!
@@Penguinr2gt Yeah, doesn't feel worth it anymore for 1k income. The shame is, just two weeks ago they were selling for 70-80g each and I was making more than 60g margin per bag. Then it was really worth it.
Sadly Soul inhaler has hit the fan cause idiots kept dropping the price by 100s of gold instead of 1 silver to undercut. Smh, people are braindead
The shovels still only craft 1 instead of 2 for me. Been max BS for a while now.
Yep! It’s a UI bug that displays 2, sadly never actually has
I was wondering about that as I’ve been maxed level bs since week one.
Haven't been able to sell a shovel for more than 80g in weeks. 😭
You’re sadly at the mercy of your server lol
Alchemy no?
Now, if everyone could stop undercutting by 10-20 gold and crashing prices down, that'd be great!
when i make shovels i only make one. i never get 2 and my craft sim shows profit for 2 and its slim on a52 so its like 50s profit or something. and if u have to repost you can kiss that proffit goodbye.
tried making a ticket about this and got the automated response so i just assume its intended? idk. im sticking away from shovels sadly.
Yes it’s sadly a ui bug, I put a blurb on screen about it. It says 2 but you never actually craft 2. Once again it comes down to pricing on your server, and sadly prices are generally really cheap on fuller pops. Just keep checking back, the market might recover for you!
EVERYTHING I can craft on my server regardless of quality or otherwise it is always more money to sell the reagents.. its stupid. I hate crafting in this expansion
Reagents don’t necessarily have to be cheaper than the final product - you have multi craft and resourcefulness to help you out and still make profit. If you aren’t using an addon, like CraftSim, you help you out, you are likely missing out on gold
Have you noticed that numeral two on your crafted shovel in your blacksmithing items list? Apparently it means nothing. Other items that have a numeral two on them will craft two with every craft. Not the shovels. I have submitted a report to blizzard. They have not been responsive. FWIW, the shovels sell for 20 gold. I don't know how anyone makes anything on them. I always enjoy your videos. They give me ideas which turn out to be profitable even if the items you showcase aren't on my server. I joined my realm when it was a medium population server. It grew during Shadowlands. I can't quite understand why. ;) I'm one of the few who enjoyed Shadowlands.
hey yea! I put a little blurb on the screen at 1:45, but its just a UI bug from the start of the game. The UI has always said 2 shovels indicating 2 per craft but its never been the case :/ Im glad you enjoy the video even if not all the methods are usable for you! Hope goldmaking is treating you well!
@@Penguinr2gt I'm having a lot of fun. I'm retired. I have more gold in the game than I know what to spend it on which is still shy of gold cap. I might buy another year of game time? I had hoped that I could buy the longboy and when I got enough to do so, I discovered it was no longer offered. I started just a month before Zereth Mortis was released. I did manage to snag the Ohn'ara's Perch toy however. It's a portable mailbox with a three hour cool down. I've tried to get Katy Stampwhistle but as a new player, I just haven't been able to memorize all of those locations. In any case, I watch every one of your videos. It isn't the items specifically that are interesting to me. It's the way you look at things. That's what I'm learning from your content.
man I'd get 50 silver of the snow in cones :(
Gotta up your multicraft and resourcefulness!
Dig Dig Dig - super easy to get, just need Renown 5, that's how easy it is, and I'm guaranteed to make a ton of gold, super easy. So if you want to create a Blacksmith to just make this item, that's all you got to do. That's all, right? ooops, forgot to mention it,...
And, before you can purchase this item, regardless of your renown level, you just have to get your little blacksmithing skills up to level 40 before you can buy the recipe that will make a ton of gold. And how much does it cost to level your Blacksmithing up to level 40? hahaha minor detail yeah? And gee, while we're at it, you might as well repeat what is the correct structure of your knowledge tree build to make this item the most cost effective and efficient set up?
Firstly, remember what I said at 0:38 ;) but to answer your worries, right now with current NA prices, you can level blacksmithing to level 60 and it will cost you 3,398g. Very affordable. Even cheaper if you just want to hit 40. Also, since the shovel requires no quality whatsoever you dont need any specializations to make it worth your while. These items are very very simple. - If you cant afford to level up your profession, you probably should be gathering and not crafting
@@Penguinr2gt You do such a good job of keeping track of what things cost, yet I thought that since you were making it clear what things cost, I thought it an important item to mention - the cost of meeting the minimum skill up points via purchasing recipes from the vendor. Also might want to mention the price of the flux varies between the two vendors who sell it. 15g vs 12g. Remember, at least for me, I had no reference point to Blacksmithing so I didn't actually find the Blacksmith vendor until after I'd almost max'd my skill up points using the engineering vendor flux.
The beginner basics like leveling professions are assumed during these videos because if I didn’t, information would be constantly repeated and these 19 minute videos would become 40 minute videos. But If you don’t know the basics, that’s okay! I have a full breakdown of every single profession for you. Check out the Dragonflight prep playlist and the Blacksmithing video is right there. In terms of flux pricing, it’s based off reputation. The flux is the same flux, but you can purchase it cheaper from one npc due to its reputation affiliation and your rep level compared to the other. Once again, I assumed you didn’t know this, so I made sure to calculate on the high scale by using 15g to calculate the cost of 3398g just for you.
@@Penguinr2gt Ok, but I think to have mentioned that it would require one to reach level 40 points in a profession prior to achieving the ability to make or purchase an object just as important as telling them it requires level 5 of Renown and would not take an additional 20 mins in your presentation. Remember, you taking a specialized professional skill to talk about - a specific set of circumstances. The primal flux issue isn't that big of deal, though it took me awhile to realize there was a difference.
Oh, I do want to come back and ask again about the build using knowledge points - is there one that should be developed if the main purpose is to make the shovel - I haven't spent any points yet. I've not unlocked in tree, at level 56/100 and have 32 knowledge points currently and my level 61/70. Also It will take me a couple of months to actually wanting to work on reaching 70 - I working on raising my 6th toon to 70 before tackling this one. Thanks
Expedition Shovels on my server have been mostly stable at roughly 200g each for 1-2 months. Since this video came out the supply of them has quadrupled and they've crashed the price to an unprofitable 70g each. So thanks for that Penguin -.- Not like you forced them to undercut for no reason though.
That's the paradox of gold-making youtubers though: The better your Tips are the faster those same Tips become irrelevant and they get oversaturated.
Yea, sadly as methods become popular, prices tend to crash, but don’t throw that method out the window. People get bored, people forget and items recover. It happens all the time. Keep checking back on the items and I hope they continue to do well for you
@Penguin oh wow you only sell ~10 Shovels per day? I sell ~10 instantly just by listing a batch. On average with 1-3 posting rounds per day I probably sell 50 to 200 Shovels. If I wanted to camp and spam relist them for a while, on say Tuesday or Saturday afternoon, I could probably sell ~1000 Shovels in a single day. It was one of my most predictable sources on income... until this video lol.
EDIT: I'm not specced for Zapthrottle Soul Inhalers, but on Illidan-US they tanked in price very quickly. These days they average 2k gold each here. FWIW you can just Crafting Order them from people who can make them and resell them on the AH. There's a ton of recipes you can do this with actually. Crafting Order Arbitrage is the secret meta.
It’s all about server pop and competition
@@zink759 I spend 4+ hours a day at my ah. I keep track of all get rich videos posted. After each video what ever is showcased tends to go down in price and never rebounds. I keep all items showcased on a list none have been profitable except the zapthrottle but even then the profit margin was cut by 91%. I used to be able to give new players 20k as a welcome to wow. Now days I wonder how long my gold will last.
@@Penguinr2gt Indeed. You mentioned checking the next day or two later, and I agree that prices usually rebound. If something isn't profitable the natural market pressures should eventually rectify that, assuming the items have a healthy amount of supply/demand. But I think your timeframes are a bit too short. In my experience if an item is artificially cheap/unprofitable due to short-sighted under-cutting, then it usually takes either the full 48hour Max Auction Duration and/or the Tuesday reset to repair the price of the item to be profitable again.
You do make very solid points in the video though; and every item you mention that I have experience selling I completely agree with you choices of recommendations. Engineering I would have added Any/All of the basic crafted Parts, like Bolts/Springs/Gear/Arclights; profits on all the parts flow up and down like a bloody ocean lol. If you keep an eye on prices there's often times you can spend an hour spamming a thousand Springs out and make yourself a nice 200% or such profit margin.
bags are crap. there is billions of cloth farm parties out here. there is no single profit making bags.
All comes down to your server and what bags you have unlocked. Making thousands of profit a day selling the reputation bags, basic bags and old world bags on my realm
@@Penguinr2gt It just doesn't make sense to sell old world bags that are smaller than DF bags but are priced substantially higher. Okay, maybe I should say it doesn't make sense for anyone to BUY them...I suppose people still do, out of ignorance!
@@elinat8665 You are 100%, people shouldnt buy old world bags since they are smaller and/or priced higher, but they do!!! Don't knock it until you try it, people buy things all the time even though it really doesnt make sense to. People step away from the game, come back and just buy the bags they remember, or people who actively play the game but they have a routine when they make an alt and dont browse all the options, it happens every day.
@@Penguinr2gt thanks for explaining - i was trying to figure out why anyone would buy these if the Wildercloth bag is cheaper and better.
Wtf is eCspecially?? Lol cringe
You never fail to out my new found hustles. Each item you showcase drops in hours and NEVER rebounds... I keep checking to see if even one of your past showcases has went back up to a profitable price and sadly no it doesn't. I know you don't care about the damage you do because these videos make you a small amount of IRL money but dang leave us some kind of bone to make profit from "please".
I don’t make these videos to harm goldmakers, I make them to help others. Yes sometimes prices drop, but that’s sadly the reality of more people entering the market. Prices do rebound all the time, just gotta look out for them
Stop crying do better hustle hard and put the tears away
