This area is so lively and fun. The amazing part is NO scammers on the street with so many people on the streets. That makes the time more relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy your adventures in China, it has a lot to offer, as long as you take the politics out of the conversations. Have a good trip, Big Man.
As soon as i came out of my hotel in Shanghai straight away people tried to hand me cards for 'Shopping' 🤣🤣
@@paddymelon94 There is a difference between a street promotion and a scam.
@@nothingbutokok6491 I also got the You want young girl Massage. 🤣🤣
@@paddymelon94 If so, why don't you report to the police? There are police hubs on the street.
@@nothingbutokok6491 not say don't talk about politics, actually it is not essential.
I am amazed at Beijing night life: so colorful and vibrant, and so many karokees! I love the awesome street foods! Chris, you are right, In North America, people likes to pick fights an no fun! I love the colorful lanterns everywhere!!
Hi Chris, I have been living in Beijing for almost two years and I enjoy watching your videos! 🇨🇳❤ If you come back and would like some assistance, please let me know and I can recommend you very nice places to have authentic Chinese meals! 😊
hi i will be visiting beijing in march, is there any chance to get some informations about good places to eat and have fun (clubs)
Hi yess i will go to beijing also pls drop some recommendation for good nightlife place
@@Onepiiiece March in Beijing is quite cold, Its better in April or May
15:47 NOOOOO Chris. That means 300 Yuan for half a dozen B-52s. That's 6 drinks for 300, which is 50yuan, 8 bucks each, at a bar in Beijing. The' half a dozen' was written in chinese so you missed it. For 500 you get a full dozen too.
thanks for clarifying
The vibe at night there is so good. I love it. Thanks for your video.
what really impresses me is how clean everything looks. Great video dude. Aloha from hawaii
Great video! Thanks Chris!❤ I'm a Chinese living in LA for over 10 years now. I love both the States and China. They are just simply different, and there shouldn't be an argument which one is good or bad. Especially there shouldn't be hatred between the two peoples. There are CCTVs everywhere in China, sure... on the other hand, my house in LA was burglarized twice in the last 7 years, and we live in a pretty good neighborhood...😢 Enjoy your trip of the best a country can offer!
Hey Chris I'm impressed by how you take us into countries showing there amazing culture and leaving the politics to one-side
What an awesome night life , everyone seems so kind hope you enjoyed your time there
We love you bro & supporting your journey.
Look at you, having all this fun!
Soo beautiful at night. A peaceful place by the lake to meditate and remain calm.
Chris said "I like this place so much" 😁
🤣🤣🤣
Glad you enjoying trip to China! China is one of my favourite countries
I definitely cannot handle the public smoking culture in China. smoking is disgusting af.
You right about the states night life. I miss just having good vibes going out.
Yes!!! Hope things get better!
The vibe at night thereis so good
Chris you are amazing 😊 love your video's
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
That area you had a beer is actually a very expensive tourist bar, every bar in that area is. Locals would never go there, if you want real local night life it’s around the Sanlitun area of Beijing
Are you saying all the people shown in this video are domestic tourists?
lots of west media said Chinese has no freedom, from this video we can see people are enjoying the nightlife, the vibe is so good.
自由=💰
This is what the Chinese government calls "modest prosperity" ! The Chinese Government's promise to the Chinese people to make China the most peaceful country in the world, to make China to most prosperous country in the world and the Chinese people the happiest people in the world. No western leader is going to make these promises to their electorates let alone succeed !
In some ways more freedom, others less. Depends on states/provinces as well. The difference is they are more blatant than the US.
The United States is essentially controlled by the same people who control China and used it to weaken the US while enriching themselves.
In China, it's the CCP... In the US we are being forced privatized socialism because its historically unpopular to voters, and we are a different test group.
Let's be honest, the freedom of speech in the US is a force and places like England are not even pretending when they arrest someone for calling a police horse gay or for making other statements on social media.
@@TheFreshPeddler They passed laws in the US and Canada if you say the Holocaust didn't happened you get arrested ...you call that freedom of speech ?
Freedom is subjective, theres no "true" freedom anywhere, its always limited by law by every country; You even have conservatives of the west wanting a dictatorship under conservatism, under their flavor of freedom, which they wont argue against, its like the chinese, its their own flavor(but you can't argue against "gov" if they do anything bad to you).
In chinese social media, they have been prety vocal about a lot of things, exposing lot of bad stuff, from fake food, to money to jobs, to housing, homeless, healthcare, etc, as society issues the CCP isnt helping them with. Considering western big giant business's pulled out of their country and their business; theres a lot of rebelling with their youth(as theres no jobs for their graduate degrees), and older generation where social programs arent helping much, and lot of business's going under. Their crazy shop lifting aunties "karens" are prety funny in china, feel bad for them but, considering they old and don't care.
Its like Russia, sure you'll have their main city where their rich kids and well off russians are doing fine.. but once you start looking onto the outer skirts, then you'll see issues, the longer you stay.
And since china is 1 billion people... theres no way a society like that can sustain itself for a long time; theres gonna be issues as time moves forwards. I think these are the issues we are seeing today, which younger liberal chinese are facing and protesting against their gov and older;
On youtube we have the freedom to critize anyone or any country and our own country and have a opinion and be "unique" personality, instead of generic obeying personality which a lot of people have. Conservative socieities, never like anyone thats "different" or goes against them or their dictatorship, theres a reason why they heavily censor the internet and cut off any apps or youtube or outside internet to their countries, so they don't get any funny ideas of "freedoms".
China blocks youtube for chinese, that already speaks for itself. As they have their own version, where its all 100% positive china.. And all 100% negative about the west..
Thanks Chris for showing us around China. I’ve been wanting to visit it but having a cold feet
Awesome brother!! Loved the video 😊
Your videos are amazing brother keep up the good work when it comes to UA-cam you are my idol
Big hello from up north above the arctic circle
I like this video Chris!
Nice! I haven’t seen any of the travel channels go to houhai, but it’s a fun place that my wife and I used to go a lot. The only negative is some of the prices are outrageous
Beijing local beer: Yanjing Beer. I don't think the waiter understood what you said, when you ask her about local beer.
Ni hao, Chris. Enjoy my former home. I was actually a resident of China in the 90s.
alcohol is cheap in china. you can get a huge 500 ml bottle of beer for a dollar in convenient stores. you just went to an expensive tourist area bar. never go to a bar where there are hustlers outside trying to draw you in 😅. just look up local brewery bars for good local vibes. there are also a lot of bars run by expats too.
good to hear, for a second i thought it was like england prices hahah
Cảm giác anh chàng này đến Trung Quốc mà không có sự nghiên cứu trước hoặc không tìm được người hướng dẫn địa phương nên có trãi nghiệm ẩm thực khá là tệ😅
Looks nice 👌 Bro Chris 😊
Chinese engineers 👩💻 have lot new ideas surprising the world 🌍.
China is the global mecca for indie bands, were not talking about a few hundreds bands, we talking about thousands every single night and every single day playing to a full venue !

Amazing vibes🍻
It was. Great video. Never thought chaina is live like this. In my city in canada after 8 pm you see no one outside and really depressing. I hope leave soon and relocate to some place to enjoy life. Good video my friend.
the first beer you had was a local beer.
Bro can I go with you on one of your adventures. My deployments never went to Asia.

the big red building at the beginning is the drum tower
That's a good vibe
In the store it's really cheap the beers

Beer is actually relatively cheap compared to other countries. It's just that you went to a bar that decided to price their beers 10-15x more than what you can get at a convenience store or supermarket.
Wow, absolutely beautiful scenery in China. I live DTLA, and depending what area, it can look and feel unpleasant.
Beijing is also my favorite city in China. It has sooooo much history which I love it. I think it is the city that hosts the highest number of UNESCO heritage sites in the world! And so one of the Seven Wonders (The Great Wall of China) + an unofficially wonder of modern engineering (Bird Nest Stadium). Sooo many museums and new attractions are added every single year. I can only imagine how this place will be in the 2030s.
Chris, I’m sorry that you feel so negative about my city Long Beach. Specially when your channel is seen all over the world. I was raised and I am a current resident of the beautiful City of Long Beach, my kids attend LBUSD and play sports and they are so happy. My best friend owns a Bar in Long Beach, spot that my Fiance and I enjoy hanging out and I have yet to witness any fights. I’ll invite you next time you’re in LB to hang out and take you Bar hopping and checkout ALL the amazing places we have in Long Beach California. Wish all the best and safe travels Chris. Cheers!
I can't travel due to DACA, but I wish to be like you someday!
The food in northern China is different from that of southern China. U would find most local food is sweetened in beijing
Beijing cuisine belongs to the Shandong cuisine family. Most of the local snacks are sweet, and the food is mainly salty. There are eight major cuisines in China, all of which can now be found in Beijing, and spicy flavors are now very popular.😀
if you like to try local beers, supermarkets have lots of them, the pubs have limited selections

Thanks!
I'd like to count how many times you said oh man oh man oh man it's super beautiful super beautiful here
Beers in China is cheap, around RMB 8-10, that's why at RMB 50, you get a seat inside while others crowding outside. If place has cheap booze, will be very packed. Well, enjoy Beijing is very cool place. China is huge place that you can really travel from place to place with the train.
Dude great video! Yo just came back from NYC last night. They have a policeman standing on every corner during rush hour because people like to get out of their cars at red lights and fight because the front person did not run the light. Crazy right? Saw it with my own eyes at least 5 times from my hotel room.
It's so safe in China at night!
Yes it is!
Liked👍✔️ Commented💬✔️ Loving❤✔️
you went to the wrong place for drinks dude. lol, Hou Hai is for tourists, we locals go to places like Gong Ti East in ChaoYang District for night life. But yeah JING-A is Beijing's local IPA beer.
Nice 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
You're right Chris things are no longer fun when you worry about violence . If you could move to a different country which one would you choose? Asking for a friend😉
毫无疑问,朝鲜
Awesome!
definitely need a DJI Action4 for low light
Chris you're looking a lot healthier! Safe Travels bro!
same when i travel my appetite isnt the same as when im home
Hi Chris, Jing A beer is a local beer, but it was created by an American and a Canadian, but the first bar you chose was the worst one, there must be some reason why there are no customers in such a crowded place, in China the food is usually better in a restaurant with a queue. Usually the price of beer in the bar street is 30-50RMB, the price of beer in the ordinary restaurant is less than 20rmb, and the price of beer in the convenience store is about 1usd for 500ml. You like to drink beer, China is a paradise, you can use the mobile phone app to buy cold beer at the same price in the supermarket and deliver it to your home or hotel in 30 minutes. Enjoy your stay...😊
Plus, you can drink while walking down the street, as long as you don't throw empty bottles around you won't get in trouble...😂😂😂
Salitun is better in Beijing. And Russia Town near Ritan Park.
Safety issues for Children's and Girls and Ladies is on Absolute Levels in China even during Midnight times thus they are being so Popular atleast on this Particular sector but Lots of countries of our Globe are so dangerous and here America is also included in that List still now and so we can Learn something of Goodness from Chinese people's always.
Enjoy your stay :)
Thank you 🙏🏼
My mate just saw you there...he noticed you were extremely short and verbally loud like a typical American dude 😂
Chris you got to be careful most of these pubs or bars are rip offs or scammers
Ausome❤❤❤
Nice Chris how does the Chinese fumbling taste like gigigihi is it better than the Thai ?
Mongolia is nice aswell
Very nice
Dude has never partied in his life 🤣🤣

so when you're in the native land, it's not that they are serving "Chinese food" but they have a restaurant serving FOOD, the Chinese part is given
Like to go there
You would love it!
I think it would be fun
Boy, the drink in that par is really expensive 😄, the same beer costs a quarter of that on street.
Yeah that’s the price you pay for the view and the atmosphere!
Your thumbnail was click bait Chris 😂
